God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 100: Chapter 98: Fan Ming’s Threat

”Last night, Shanghai police engaged in an intense battle with suspects believed to be behind the serial killings. The outcome was disastrous: heavy casualties, the hostage was killed, and all assailants escaped. This marks the greatest setback for the Shanghai police in history!”

Following Jiang Chao’s instructions, Bai Tao opened the website and quickly saw such news.

Below the text were photos and a video attached.

Boom!

After watching the video, Bai Tao abruptly stood up and slammed his fist onto the desk, leaving a noticeable dent and causing the mug to fall and shatter.

”Chief, I’m sorry, it’s all my fault, I’m useless, I’m a failure...” Jiang Chao said weakly, with his head lowered.

”Shut up!” Bai Tao immediately charged forward, grabbing Jiang Chao by the collar and yelling, ”Is it useful? Is it useful!!! Can an apology bring the dead back to life? Can an apology ensure the safety of the enemy’s next targets?

Now, right now! Go and arrange for the mobilization of all police forces. With the fastest speed, find all potential targets and secure them. Their safety must be protected. Remember what I said: must! Must!”

”Also, get in touch with Xiao Tian, have him come back immediately for me!”

With that, Bai Tao forcefully pushed Jiang Chao out of the office.

Jiang Chao felt a mix of emotions.

Guilt! Resentment! Anger!

Fortunately, Jiang Chao still maintained his composure, understanding the severity of the situation, and immediately relayed Bai Tao’s orders to all departments.

The news spread swiftly online, and by the time Bai Tao saw it, tens of thousands had already viewed and commented on it.

”These thugs are terrifying. Who are they? Even the SWAT isn’t a match.”

”I’m so scared. What if the thugs target me next? I don’t even have a girlfriend, I don’t want to die...”

”Brothers, everyone must stay calm and trust our public police!”

——

With the police’s full efforts, within half a day, all potential targets in Shanghai were brought to headquarters.

Meanwhile, numerous SWAT officers were deployed around headquarters to ensure the targets’ safety.

Half an hour after all targets were secured.

In the director’s office!

Click!

Bai Tao clenched his right hand, crushing a pen with sheer force.

Since seeing the morning news, he had been constantly refreshing the web, fearing that criminals would exploit the chaos.

Indeed, he noticed some agitators online, all of whom police tracked down via their IP addresses and arrested.

However, what infuriated Bai Tao wasn’t these people; instead, it was the fact that over ninety percent of citizens were eagerly hoping for the police to quickly bring the criminals to justice, posting messages encouraging the Shanghai police.

What was intolerable was that after learning the targets were protected, Fan Ming actually went online to post provocations!

”Shanghai police, useless boy scouts, listen up! You have three days to obediently hand over all our targets, or I guarantee that after three days, I’ll wipe the Shanghai police off the map!

Don’t doubt my words. You saw how tragically those officers died last night. If I strike a second time, you useless boy scouts will die even more miserably!”

Fan Ming’s post was short, yet extremely arrogant and cruel!

Repeatedly referring to them as useless boy scouts, he completely disregarded the Shanghai police!

Not only the police but all Shanghai People who saw the post were enraged!

Netizens couldn’t help but reply.

”Damn it, these thugs are too arrogant, calling Shanghai police useless boy scouts, they should be executed.”

”Executed? Watch your words, the SWAT can’t even handle them. Be careful they find you through the network and get you first.”

”I hope the Shanghai police can bring them to justice, but after seeing the news and video, sigh... too difficult.”

”I feel it’s too hard as well. The police can’t be their match, unless the military gets involved, especially special forces.”

”Go Shanghai police, the Shanghai People always support you. You’ll definitely win!”

Attitudes online were mixed; some were furious, some had no faith in the police, while others firmly believed that justice would prevail and the police would bring the criminals to justice.

Meanwhile, the main hall of headquarters was in chaos!

To be cautious, anyone remotely fitting the target profile was protected.

Now, the hall was crowded with over a hundred people.

These targets weren’t criminals, so they could freely use their phones online, and they saw Fan Ming’s post, becoming anxious!

”Can the Shanghai police handle this? Can they really catch them?”

”Why not send us to the military for protection? Staying in a police station is a death sentence.”

”Please, send us to the military, I don’t want to die.”

”Why? Why have so many days passed, yet the criminals remain at large?”

All targets nearly lost their rationality. Unlike the netizens, their safety was directly threatened!

”Everyone, quiet down, quiet down, this is the police bureau, you’re safe here!”

Jiang Chao stood on a chair, shouting with a megaphone, but it was futile; he couldn’t calm the agitated crowd.

”Let me!” Yu Ningxue suddenly rushed out, snatching the megaphone.

”Everyone, quiet!” she shouted at the top of her lungs, ”You are in the police bureau, surrounded by public police, who are your shield and iron walls.

Right now, your lives are threatened. If you don’t trust us, who else can protect you? Let me tell you, any thug who underestimates the public police will meet a bad end. The public police will protect your lives.

Here, I sincerely ask everyone to stay calm and believe in us because we will protect you, even at the cost of our lives. The public police are for the people!”

”Public police for the people!”

Yu Ningxue’s words instantly ignited a sense of passion among all the police around her.

”Public police for the people!”

”Public police for the people!”

In that moment, the resolute and fervent shouts of the police echoed throughout the entire hall, full of momentum!

”Public police for the people!”

”Public police, I believe in you, you will defeat the enemy and bring them to justice!”

The crowd in the hall was also moved, joining in the shouts.

Meanwhile, in Shanghai.

Xiao Tian was exercising in the living room when he suddenly received a call from Jiang Chao, learning about the situation, and then going online to see the news and posts.

”Fan Ming!”

Looking at Fan Ming’s post, Xiao Tian’s fury burned even more intensely, with a strong intent for vengeance in his eyes!

Immediately return to Shanghai!

Xiao Tian made the decision without hesitation!
