God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 82: Chapter 80: The Number One Detective in the Police Force

Zhang Yifeng was dumbfounded. After being a police officer for decades, what kind of vicious criminals hasn’t he encountered?

However, a bloodthirsty maniac like Lin Kuang was someone he was meeting for the first time.

The situation felt completely out of control, and Zhang Yifeng was drenched in sweat as he quickly dialed Bai Tao’s number.

”Yifeng, how’s the situation on site?” Bai Tao impetuously asked first.

”Director Bai, this Lin Kuang is really too rampant. He demands that we send a helicopter within fifteen minutes, and several hostages have already died under his gunfire!” Zhang Yifeng replied bitterly.

”Hold steady, try your best to keep him calm, we’re rushing there!”

...

Inside the restaurant, everyone was scared out of their wits, the continuous gunfire murdering left them all with fear.

Each one of them desperately crouched down, terrified of drawing attention and becoming the next unlucky victim.

Le Yaoyao was pale, praying in her heart that Xiao Tian could save her like last time from Sun Tian and arrive in time.

Now, in her heart, Xiao Tian was akin to an omnipotent War God; as long as he was there, nothing was impossible.

Jin Taiyou was unusually furious. He was also a brutal, irritable person who was always feared and obeyed by others.

But this time, he had no choice but to crouch down and hold his head like everyone else.

Such humiliating experiences had never happened to him before.

This would surely become an indelible shadow in his life.

Thinking of this, Jin Taiyou couldn’t help but give a vicious glance at Jin Zaizhong and Li Zailong beside him, secretly vowing that once this was over, he would properly teach these two troublemakers a lesson.

Lin Kuang walked around the hall with a calm demeanor, his sinister eyes constantly scanning the crowd.

Seeing everyone obediently crouched in place, not daring to make any small moves, he felt a great sense of satisfaction.

Suddenly, Lin Kuang’s eyes lit up as he noticed a young and beautiful woman, so nervous that a faint yellow liquid was leaking from beneath her.

A desire began to stir restlessly in his heart.

He pulled the woman next to him with one hand, pressed his malevolent claw tight against her chest, flashed an evil smile, then squeezed hard.

”Ah...” The woman screamed in panic and fainted.

”Hahaha... interesting, interesting!” Lin Kuang burst out laughing, his gaze continuing to search the crowd.

Seeing this, Le Yaoyao quickly shrank back, hiding quietly among the crowd.

”Huh, this big guy looks quite formidable.” At this point, Lin Kuang noticed Jin Taiyou in the crowd.

The latter’s physique was exceptionally robust, making him stand out while crouched among the others.

”You, come here, show me some moves!” Lin Kuang, a martial arts fanatic, was now feeling a bit bored. Seeing Jin Taiyou, who was like a towering iron figure, his face lit up with joy, and he couldn’t help but itch for a fight.

”You... are you calling me?” Jin Taiyou asked in broken Huaxia Language.

”Oh, a Korean, huh! Yes, I’m calling you, come over here and spar with me!” Lin Kuang put his gun down and beckoned Jin Taiyou over with his hand.

Upon hearing this, Jin Taiyou was overjoyed.

Thinking, this scar-faced guy seemed to be the leader of the gang; as long as he could subdue him, he could reverse the situation and threaten these guys.

This could solve the current predicament and also give him a chance to unleash his skills and vent the anger in his heart.

As for whether he could beat the bandit leader, Jin Taiyou hadn’t considered it at all.

In his view, let alone a small Shanghai City, how many people in all of Huaxia could match him?

Thinking of this, Jin Taiyou slowly stood up and walked toward Lin Kuang, full of arrogance.

The two took their stances, no words were exchanged, and both moved at the same time.

Bam!

As fists and feet clashed, a wailing noise followed.

”Ah... my nose!”

It wasn’t Lin Kuang making the cry, it was the overconfident Jin Taiyou.

With just one punch, his nose was flattened, blood flowing incessantly.

”Damn it, come on again!” Jin Taiyou angrily roared, raising his fist to punch Lin Kuang again.

”Good!” Lin Kuang chuckled lightly, his muscles tightened, and facing Jin Taiyou’s incoming punch, he didn’t dodge or retreat, directly countering with his own punch.

Crack!

A series of bone-cracking sounds echoed.

Again, it was Jin Taiyou.

”Ah... my hand, my hand...” Jin Taiyou crouched down in pain, his entire right arm completely twisted. At the elbow, a bone mixed with blood pierced through the skin, exposed.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang’s assault did not cease; he pounced forward, punching and kicking, with fierce and tyrannical power bursting forth, delivering it all to Jin Taiyou.

In just a few strikes, Jin Taiyou was beaten to a bloody pulp, lying on the ground, only able to whimper.

”Tsk, looked formidable at first, but turned out so useless, just pathetic! Boring, boring...”

Lin Kuang spat a large mouthful of saliva toward Jin Taiyou, turned, and left.

”Brother Lin is mighty!”

”Brother Lin is domineering!”

”Daring to duel with Lin? You’re courting death!”

A dozen fierce bandits shouted in unison, showing no surprise at the outcome, as if accustomed to such scenes.

While it didn’t surprise them, the hundreds of hostages in the hall were all terrified, their faces filled with horror.

This bandit leader wasn’t just bloodthirsty and brutal, his skills were equally formidable!

Jin Zaizhong and the others were utterly disheartened. They never imagined that Jin Taiyou, who they idolized since childhood, would be so easily defeated by Lin Kuang.

Just how terrifying is this bandit leader’s power? They couldn’t even begin to fathom it.

Time passed by the minute.

Lin Kuang raised his hand to look at his watch; it had been exactly fifteen minutes. He yelled outside, ”Where’s the helicopter you lousy cops promised?”

”Still on its way, almost there!” Zhang Yifeng had to step in to explain.

”Sigh, it seems you have no concept of time!” Lin Kuang’s tone was icy, and he unhesitatingly pulled the trigger again.

Bang!

A shot rang out, and another person in the hall fell, their body again cast out.

”From now on, for every minute that passes, I’ll kill one person. Let’s see how long you can stall,” Lin Kuang patiently, yet confidently, declared.

He believed this stalemate wouldn’t last long; the police would soon compromise, and victory would ultimately be theirs.

As time slipped away, with every passing second, the worry in the hearts of those in the hall deepened.

The sixty-second death countdown tugged at everyone’s hearts.

Once those sixty seconds were over, another of them would meet a tragic end under the gun.

This torment was even more terrifying than death itself.

Outside the hotel.

All the police officers were anxious and angry, yet utterly helpless.

Everyone turned their eyes to the commander of this operation, Zhang Yifeng.

Zhang Yifeng was drenched in sweat, as if he had just been fished out of water.

While reporting to Bai Tao, he bellowed into the radio, ”Damn it, when will the helicopter get here?”

Facing such a situation, he was completely unable to stay rational, though it was a major taboo for a commander.

”Still... still on its way,” the nervous voice on the other end of the radio replied, clearly startled by the deputy chief’s fury.

Just as another minute was about to pass, a loud and shrill siren suddenly blared, followed by the roar of a police car speeding in.

After a fierce screech of brakes, a young police officer stepped out of the car.

It was Xiao Tian.

The drive, which should have taken twenty minutes, Xiao Tian completed in fifteen, illustrating just how thrilling that ride had been.

With no time to assess the situation, Xiao Tian marched straight towards the hotel.

At this moment, a large group of police stopped him, all angrily demanding, ”Officer, what do you think you’re doing? Do you not know how dangerous it is in there?”

Xiao Tian ignored them, paused, and loudly shouted towards the inside:

”Lin Kuang, listen up. I’m the top detective of Shanghai City, Xiao Tian. I need to talk to you!”

Boom!

As soon as he spoke, a commotion inevitably erupted on the scene, with everyone turning to look at Xiao Tian.

Who is this guy?

His first words were so shocking, even claiming to be the top detective?

Zhang Yifeng’s face darkened, thinking, when did Shanghai City get a top detective that I don’t know about?

This guy is either crazy or a fool!

”This is outrageous!” Zhang Yifeng cursed angrily, just about to order his men to chase him away. But then, Lin Kuang spoke up.

”Whoa, big words. What do you want with me?” Eyeing the newcomer, merely a young policeman, Lin Kuang curiously asked.

”It’s a private matter, I can only discuss it inside with you! Look, I’ve even disarmed myself.”

As Xiao Tian spoke, he took off his coat and tossed her gun to a nearby policeman.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang sneered, showed a hint of disdain, and casually said, ”If that’s the case, then come in!”

”Hey, hey, hey, you guys, hurry and stop him, don’t let him in!” Zhang Yifeng, agitated, frantically ordered a few subordinates.

But just then, his phone rang.

”Yifeng, let him in, he can fix this,” Bai Tao calmly told Zhang Yifeng.

”Director, I don’t...” Zhang Yifeng was completely puzzled.

”Don’t worry, I’ll take full responsibility if anything goes wrong.” Leaving no further explanation, Bai Tao hung up.

From the moment he learned Xiao Tian arrived on the scene, the weight on his heart was finally lifted.

For some reason, unbeknownst to when it began, he had developed deep trust in this young man.

It was as if no matter the difficulty or situation, as long as this person was present, then nothing was a problem.

At this moment, the young officer Xiao Tian, self-proclaimed as Shanghai City’s top detective, was striding confidently into the hotel.
