God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 81: Chapter 79: The Ruthless Lin Kuang

Xiao Tian hurriedly made his way to the city police bureau, completely unaware of Jin Taiyou and his men heading aggressively towards the Fuxing Restaurant.

Not yet at the police bureau entrance, he could hear various sirens, car engines, and shouts of officers from afar, all merging into a cacophony.

Xiao Tian frowned, got off the taxi, and went straight inside.

”Director Bai, what on earth happened?” Upon entering the police bureau, Xiao Tian immediately saw the city public security bureau director Bai Tao, looking overwhelmed with work.

”Xiao Tian, you came at just the right time. You know that scar-faced Lin Kuang, right? He was kidnapped by a gang of bandits halfway!” Bai Tao was drenched in sweat.

”What? He was kidnapped?” Xiao Tian was quite surprised.

After all, the task of escorting Lin Kuang was undertaken by a whole squad of fifty well-armed special police forces!

For him to still be abducted, it is imaginable how fierce this gang must be!

”Director Bai, you better tell me the details.” Xiao Tian pulled Bai Tao aside and listened attentively to the detailed account.

Three minutes later, Xiao Tian finally understood the whole situation.

The escort team was attacked by these bandits in the Jinshan Bay area.

Just as the police car carrying Lin Kuang drove into the Jinshan Tunnel, dozens of heavily armed thugs suddenly emerged from a truck loaded with oranges ahead.

Following a fierce skirmish, the police managed to shoot down a dozen or so bandits on the spot, but more than twenty comrades were injured, and another seven or eight special police officers were heroically sacrificed.

The more severe outcome was that scar-faced Lin Kuang actually escaped, and his whereabouts are currently unknown.

From Bai Tao’s description, it is evident that these bandits have meticulously planned and are all extraordinarily skilled, ferocious, and ruthless.

The Shanghai City police have already dispatched over three hundred elite officers, and additionally, a special armed police team has been urgently summoned from surrounding cities, all currently scouring the city for Lin Kuang’s gang.

The two made their way to the investigation department, where the real-time traffic monitor footage around Jinshan Bay was fully fed in.

Xiao Tian multitasked, listening intently to Bai Tao’s explanation of the case details while keeping a close watch on the surveillance footage and the city map in front of him.

”To the south is the Southern Bypass Expressway, to the north is Tianhong Port International Terminal, to the east is a sparsely populated suburban area, and to the west is the Baoshan University District...”

If I were one of these criminals, which direction would I choose?

Xiao Tian furrowed his brow, his mind racing as he silently deduced their possible escape routes.

Suddenly, his expression changed, and he quickly pulled out his phone to make a call.

”Hello, Yaoyao, where are you now? What? Still at Fuxing Restaurant!”

”Don’t ask anything, just listen to me, take your classmates, and immediately take separate taxis home... Yes, right now!”

Hurriedly hanging up, Xiao Tian immediately said to Bai Tao, ”Director Bai, quickly deploy people to the Baoshan University District, I have a strong feeling these bandits might be fleeing in that direction!”

”You... are you sure?” Bai Tao was suddenly taken aback.

”Yes, that’s a densely populated area. Lin Kuang and his gang will definitely choose to first take a large number of hostages, forcing our police to acquiesce, then fly directly abroad!”

Xiao Tian’s analysis was reasonable and well-founded. Bai Tao, who had long witnessed his prowess, did not hesitate for a moment, quickly grabbing the intercom, issuing rapid orders.

Xiao Tian did not wait for Bai Tao to assign tasks; he dashed out of the police bureau, jumped into a police car, and sped toward the university district.

On the other side.

Le Yaoyao received Xiao Tian’s call telling her to leave. Although filled with doubts, she chose to trust him unconditionally.

Hastily settling the bill, the group was about to leave, but just then.

Jin Zaizhong and Li Zailong appeared brutally fierce outside their private room, blocking the entrance completely.

”Jin Zaizhong, what do you mean? Haven’t you had enough of a beating today?” Yang Chao stepped forward, teasingly.

”Hmph, you trash think you can hit me? Cut the crap, where is that kid named Xiao Tian?” Jin Zaizhong snorted coldly, his eyes filled with endless resentment.

Yet looking around, he didn’t find a trace of Xiao Tian.

Le Yaoyao stepped forward with a face full of disdain and said indifferently, ”Want to mess with my uncle? I suggest you save it! Have you forgotten what he said so quickly?”

”Yeah, yeah, Jin Zaizhong, hurry up and get lost as far as possible, or else when our Boss Xiao returns, you won’t like what happens!” a classmate chimed in.

”Arrogant words!”

As soon as they spoke, a rough voice immediately echoed from outside the door.

Suddenly, the lackeys at the door automatically parted, and a burly young man, towering like an iron tower, walked in the middle.

”Wow, so tall!” Seeing the newcomer, all members of the Martial Arts Club gasped, his physique was truly massive, nearly two meters tall!

Next to him, Li Zailong was completely out of his league in comparison.

He loomed over everyone, like a mountain, oppressing them, making it hard to breathe.

This was Jin Taiyou!

”Tell me, where is that man? Otherwise, I’ll have each of you carried out horizontally.” Jin Taiyou’s face was full of ferocity, his expression extremely irritable.

His roar immediately intimidated everyone present, many were frightened, unable to stop trembling all over.

Seeing the silent crowd, Jin Taiyou roared again, grabbing a nearby table in anger, saying, ”If you don’t speak, I’ll unleash a massacre, turning this place into a river of blood...”

However, he hadn’t finished speaking.

Bang, bang, bang...

Suddenly, a few deafening gunshots rang out from outside.

Immediately, a large group of strong men, wielding firearms, suddenly stormed into the restaurant’s hall.

”Robbers, the robbers are here, everyone run...” someone shouted loudly.

The next second, a cold gunshot sounded, and that person was shot in the head, falling dead to the ground.

”Ah... ah, help!” Seeing this scene, the entire Fuxing Restaurant descended into chaos, everyone desperately trying to escape, only to be forced back by dozens of black gun barrels.

”Everyone listen up, immediately gather in the hall with your hands on your head. I’ll give you one minute. After one minute, if anyone hasn’t come down, I’ll blow their brains out with a single shot!”

At this time, a chilling roar echoed in the hall, the speaker was a hideously terrifying middle-aged man.

On his face was a scar shaped like an octopus.

It was scar-faced Lin Kuang!

As soon as he finished speaking, everyone went crazy, frantically running towards the hall, fearing they’d be the last one.

Only now did they finally realize the situation—they were being held hostage by a group of ruthless bandits!

It was a scene straight out of a movie, yet at this moment, it had become their reality.

In an instant, everyone was wailing like ghosts and wolves, inwardly regretting why they had come to Fuxing Restaurant for a meal.

”Uncle-in-law, save me, come save me...” Le Yaoyao screamed inwardly. She had never seen this kind of scene before. Following the crowd into the hall, her body couldn’t help but tremble.

Meanwhile.

Xiao Tian, who was heading towards the university town, received a call from Bai Tao.

”Xiao Tian, your analysis was spot on. Lin Kuang’s gang really went to the Baoshan University District, and they’ve taken over a hundred hostages in a restaurant!”

”Comrades nearby have already gone there. You need to get there quickly!”

”Which restaurant?” Xiao Tian asked urgently.

”Fuxing Restaurant!”

Boom!

Upon hearing this name, Xiao Tian’s face changed abruptly. It was a twenty-minute drive to Fuxing Restaurant from where he was.

He quickly yelled for the young officer driving to stop, jumped into the driver’s seat himself, and floored the gas pedal, speeding towards Fuxing Restaurant.

Fuxing Restaurant.

By this time, the entire restaurant was heavily surrounded by police, with more officers rushing to the scene.

For a while, the roaring of cars, the blaring of sirens, the cries of people—all sorts of chaotic noises were mixed together, creating a tumult.

Outside, it was a chaotic scene, but inside the restaurant hall, it was eerily quiet.

Over a hundred hostages were crouched with their hands on their heads in the center of the hall, not daring to breathe loudly or even lift their heads, and no one dared to make a sound.

Around them, dozens of bandits patrolled back and forth, their expressions menacing, guns in hand, watching the hostages’ every move.

If anyone was found being unruly or pulling any tricks, they’d be shot in the head immediately.

Four bodies lay on the lavishly tiled floor, blood gushing from their heads, staining a large patch of the ground red.

With a cold glance at the numerous police outside, Lin Kuang toyed with the AK in his hands, calm and unperturbed.

”Listen up, criminals inside. You are surrounded by our police. Put down your weapons and release the hostages for lenient treatment...” a negotiation expert shouted loudly toward the inside.

Upon hearing this, all the bandits sneered in unison. Lin Kuang let out a cold chuckle, aimed randomly at a hostage, and pulled the trigger.

Bang, bang – two gunshots rang out, and another person fell in the hall.

Lin Kuang grabbed the corpse and casually tossed it outside, saying, ”Listen up, the police in charge outside, send over a helicopter at once. You have fifteen minutes to get it ready!”

Seeing the hostage’s body being thrown out, all the police were filled with righteous indignation, clenching their fists.

Zhang Yifeng was the Deputy Director of the Shanghai City Public Security Bureau and happened to be near the university town when the incident occurred, so he was the first to arrive.

At this moment, City Public Security Bureau Director Bai Tao was still on his way, so Zhang Yifeng temporarily took over as the on-site commander.

With a serious expression, Zhang Yifeng took the megaphone handed to him by his subordinates and shouted inside, ”Lin Kuang, I am Zhang Yifeng, Deputy Director of Shanghai City Public Security Bureau. I am temporarily in full charge of this operation.”

”We will try to meet your demands, but dispatching a helicopter within fifteen minutes is unrealistic. Please extend the time limit...”

Bang!

Before he could finish speaking, a gunshot rang out from the restaurant, and another body was thrown out.

Seeing this scene, everyone was stunned!

The savagery and bloodthirstiness of these bandits went beyond everyone’s imagination.
