Chapter 2848 - 2849: Wielding Oneʼs Soul As A Sword

-----

”Kireina… I understand what youʼre trying to do. I shall wield your soul and defy Fate.”

The Kireina of this world spoke, and the Kireina from outside became her blade. The golden sword shone with the darkest chaos before reversing into eternal blessing light. With all her might, Kireina swung and defied the heavens.

Her Martial Arts ascended instantly to the Fourth Stage.

Martial Evolution!

FLAAASH!

The world around her distorted as the pure, raw, unfiltered Essence of her Self radiated outward. A vast garden of red, black, and purple roses bloomed around her. The skies warped into a starry night revealing the cosmos.

A crimson moon shone brightly behind her like an ever-watchful eye, gazing upon Susanoo. For a moment, his sword faltered as he glimpsed the truth within her.

”Gaaaah! W-What?!”

His sword flinched for the first time. Kireina swung hers, clashing against him as she split, sealed, and grasped the heavens. She unleashed her heaven-related techniques one after another until they began to overlap.

Her Martial Arts manifested and transformed into something greater. The Fifth Stage arrived instantly as every muscle and fiber of her being was pushed to their limits, bursting and healing repeatedly.

Fifth Stage.

Martial Peak!

The dark gardens and starry skies shone brightly like nine heavens. She glimpsed a gigantic sun and moon, sensing the true essence of this Heavenly Dimensional Domain.

”So this is why itʼs called the Sun and Moon Domain.”

She closed her eyes and recited her unique Martial Arts, now fully refined. Her body glowed, turning into light and darkness.

Her heart beat faster. Threads of Intent and Consciousness expanded. Her Soul rose higher and higher.

This sensation was unlike anything Kireina had ever felt.

”Heaven and Earth Defying Soul Heart Style.”

”First Form.”

”Crimson Eclipse Bloom!”

Kireina roared, swinging her sword downward. Her existence twisted into countless petals, each a fragment of her soul, each a defiance against despair. Every petal became an attack. Susanoo laughed with fascination as he clashed against her, each blow forcing him back.

”Nngaaaaahhhh!”

He screamed. His hands ached more than ever before. His sword nearly slipped, but the Storm God roared, meeting every petal and splitting them apart. He unleashed his true power. The world distorted further. The Heavenly Realm itself trembled violently.

CLASH!

CLASH!

CLASH!

An exchange of sword slashes erupted. Each strike carried whispers of countless lives and myths. Kireina and Susanoo smiled as they fought, both defying Fate on their paths toward a higher realm.

Kireinaʼs Consciousness Domain shone brightly. Her crimson moon fused with the blazing sun above, forming a Crimson Eclipse—a union of light and shadow, defiance and fate. The heavens trembled as the eclipse poured its radiance over the battlefield.

The Heavenly Realm governed by the Kami shook like never before. Susanoo staggered, his storm faltering for the first time. His sword, forged from seas and storms, quivered as if fearing the blooming eclipse.

”Impossible…! A mortal spawn of Chaos wielding a Soul Heart that eclipses the heavens?! What are you, Kireina?!”

”I am myself, and nothing else. I wield my soul, my history, my will and consciousness, my intent and memories, my dreams and hopes, my despair and pain. This is what I am! This is me! Can you all see it now?! Canʼt you see who I am?!”

Every god held their breath at her words. Her swordsmanship was unmistakably her own self. There was only endless Repentant Enlightenment. Kireinaʼs suffering and despair, her endless path toward something she could grasp without letting slip, was all she had. This was what she wielded.

Tears streamed from her eyes as she cried like never before. Each strike unleashed her agony and despair as she fought desperately against an opponent she could never defeat.

To show them all what she truly was.

”Good! Then I shall show you everything I am! I will honor your power with my own!”

Susanoo roared. The heavens trembled. All storms gathered into a gigantic tempest of dark clouds and golden thunder, dozens of kilometers wide. It descended with thunderous power, defying all laws of physics.

Kireina faced the attack. This was one of Susanooʼs serious strikes, the final trial.

And what did Kireina do?

She poured everything she had into unleashing all she was and could be.

Her System distorted and fragmented into countless pieces. Every skill, ability, and stat merged with her sword, surging as a glitched mass of colors and numbers.

Then those colors and numbers transformed into an eternal road of countless hues—her path of defiance, her path toward a fate she would shape with her own hands.

Kireinaʼs body shone with threads of intent, weaving her consciousness, soul, and blade together. She was no longer merely a warrior. She was a living Martial Scripture, every heartbeat a verse, every strike a sutra.

She swung her sword.

Petals became blades.

The eclipse became fire.

Roses became small galaxies.

Each strike layered upon the last, overlapping techniques into one seamless flow—the Soul Heart Style, transcending Martial Peak.

”Second Form…” she whispered, voice trembling with power, suffering, agony, and tears.

”Defiance of the Nine Heavens!”

The starry skies shattered, revealing nine colossal heavens stacked above the Sun and Moon Domain. Her sword cleaved through them, not to destroy but to rewrite their laws. Each heaven cracked. From the fissures poured rivers of light and darkness, chaos and blessing, entwined into a single stream.

All of it became an endless sword. Her Infinite Heavens Sword revealed its true nature. Susanooʼs blade clashed against Kireinaʼs.

Both were nearly equals.

”Unbelievable!”

”Sheʼs facing Susanoo on equal terms!”

”What is this essence she exudes?!”

”She practices the Heart Method?!”

”A Star-Shattering Heart Cultivator?!”

”No…! Sheʼs something else! I cannot understand!”

The Kami fell into turmoil as they witnessed the clash of swords and cosmic power beyond the Heavenly Realm.

Yet the clash was not eternal.

It reached its end.

”UUAAAAHHHH!”

”HAAAAAAHHH!”

With those roars of souls and hearts.

BOOOMMM!!!

Both swords, unable to withstand each otherʼs presence, power, and history, exploded. A massive blast shattered the sky.

Silence followed. The Kami stood frozen, glancing at one another and then below.

Susanoo and Tsukuyomi had never witnessed anything like this.

”Amaterasu… sheʼs… what is she?” Tsukuyomi asked.

Amaterasu said nothing, eyes bloodshot with fury at the sight. ”Susanoo, you…! What are you doing?!”

As cosmic dust and smoke cleared, a defeated Kireina lay revealed, bleeding from a massive chest wound. Susanoo held her tenderly, gazing at her unconscious face with a calm smile, as if she had given everything and died content.

”Onee-sama…! Iʼm sorry, but I… I cannot let you kill her!”

Glistening light enveloped Kireinaʼs wound. Susanoo poured his divine cosmic lifeforce into her body, reviving her from what could have been true death.

”Ahh!”

Kireinaʼs eyes snapped open as she gasped for air. She saw the council of Kami surrounding her and… Susanoo, still holding her.

”Kireina… Your Path of the Sword, I want to see more of it! Become my bride!”

”…Huh?!”

Thus, Kireina defied her fate and changed it.

Though not in any way she had ever expected.
