Epic Of Caterpillar

Chapter 2825 - 2826: What This Domain Truly Is

-----

”Memories,” Kireina said with a serious expression. ”However, these two Supreme Spirits originate from the same realm as the Spiritual Beings who helped the Yakuza—the Spiritual Plane. They should be able to tell us what this place is, what that core is, and how we can get out of here.”

”Oh, thatʼs why...!” Frank nodded. ”Well, thatʼs amazing. Itʼs nice to meet you, Lady Ruby, Lady Sapphirine.”

”Hmph! I donʼt talk with lowly mortals,” Ruby said sharply, fixing her gaze on Lazuli and Blaze, who were slumbering inside the encased Spiritual Heart of the giant Spirit Beast they once were. ”So there they are... Lazuli and Blaze. Have they been assimilated by the world yet?”

”No,” Kireina replied, looking down at them. ”I was hoping to move them to my Cosmic Realm, but with these ones watching over, that seems unlikely. I think the Spiritual Heart keeps them sealed from this worldʼs influence.”

”I see. We could take them with us there,” said Sapphirine.

”That sounds good,” Kireina nodded. ”Though I wonder if they would benefit more from this world... Blaze lost her family, Lazuliʼs mother is gone. Maybe starting over here could help. But then again, I would also be exposing them to this worldʼs dangers, as much as it has to offer.”

”Hmmm, itʼs up to you what you want to do with them, isnʼt it?” Ruby asked.

”...No, it would be too troublesome. Letʼs bring them back home first,” Kireina decided.

”Alright, but what about everyone else whoʼs been secured?” Sapphirine asked.

”That will be more complicated. Some of my friends here managed to secure people themselves. I think it wonʼt be easy to retrieve them aside from those Mammon has,” Kireina explained. ”They might get assimilated, unfortunately... but theyʼre my responsibility. I will find a way to bring them back to their home.”

”Very well,” Sapphirine nodded.

Frank, Harumi, Erika, and Matsuo didnʼt understand what they were talking about, as the conversation was in a Fae Language long extinct, resembling German.

Because Kireinaʼs family originated from Germany, she was naturally fluent, leaving her friends speechless at how effortlessly she spoke.

”Are they speaking German?” Frank wondered.

”It seems to be some variation of it, but not exactly the German we know,” Harumi said. ”It must be some kind of Fae Tongue.”

”Oh, that makes more sense,” Matsuo nodded. ”Woah, I canʼt understand a single thing, man...”

Once Kireina and the spirits finished talking, the two Supreme Spirits lifted their hands and brought the heart containing the two girls toward them, teleporting it elsewhere.

”The Elves and other races inside the hearts may not be from this world,” Kireina explained, now speaking Japanese so her friends could understand. ”They requested that you give them all to us so they can return them to their original Realms.”

”Wait, so they were kidnapped from other Realms?! Thatʼs crazy!” Erika exclaimed. ”What the hell? Who did that?”

”The one who gave this power to the Yakuza, most likely,” Matsuo said.

”Yeah...” Harumi nodded. ”Theyʼre Spirits of very high level. Itʼs better if we go along with them, unless you want to be cursed and suffer bad luck for a hundred years.”

”Eugh, well, okay,” Matsuo agreed. ”Thank you, here they are...”

The young students quickly placed all the people they had secured, separating those who werenʼt humans, vampires, or werewolves. These included ice elves, ice fairies, and other beings.

”Thank you,” said Kireina, as Sapphirine teleported them into her Cosmic Realm. ”Alright then, could you two tell us what this place is? Honestly, Iʼm at a loss.”

”Hmm, weʼve analyzed everything and can already tell this is a unique phenomenon of this world, tampered with by the power of a Spiritual Heart,” explained Sapphirine.

”The one behind this created the Spiritual Heart and placed it as the core of this domain,” Ruby added. ”Then they granted Authorities to those... Yakuza you defeated.”

”That Spiritual Heart Core I saw was the core of this domain, I know that. But how was it even created?” Mammon asked.

”Itʼs a fragment of the Spiritual Planeʼs Dimension,” Ruby explained. ”This Domain directly connects there, and the Core keeps it anchored between your world and the Spiritual Plane.”

”Meaning that...?” Harumi asked.

”With enough time, those from the Spiritual Plane who harbor ill will toward you could come here, attack you, or kidnap you...” Sapphirine nodded. ”Thus, you need to leave as quickly as possible.”

”The Spiritual Heart Core here... I can feel it. Thereʼs a powerful being inside, someone whose Consciousness is deeply rooted in another Dimension—the Esper Plane, most likely,” Ruby said, analyzing the terrain. ”Itʼs likely there are many like this person if theyʼre planning a full-blown invasion. Be careful.”

”Yeah,” Sapphirine agreed. ”However, we canʼt tell you much about this entityʼs origins or where they come from, unfortunately.”

”Thatʼs quite alright, youʼve done enough,” Kireina nodded. ”Well, you heard them, everyone. We should probably go defeat that Esper quickly before something worse from the Spiritual Plane comes to snatch us.”

”Thatʼs somehow even more terrifying!” Erika complained. ”Damn it, why canʼt we have a break for once... itʼs so tiring.”

”Weʼve had a break for weeks now, but I agree this is a little too much...” Harumi sighed. ”Are they specifically targeting us, Frank, or was this just a crazy coincidence because we got here?”

”I believe itʼs both,” Kireina explained. ”We happened to enter their territory just as they received their new powers. At the same time, perhaps youʼve built some reputation in the Underworld, and many underdog organizations want you dead as revenge against your families, who have pushed smaller groups further away from Tokyo.”

”Ahhh, so this is just the consequence of actions we had no power over,” Matsuo sighed. ”And we, people not even related to these things, have to pay for them because we represent our families. I get it...”

”Itʼs frustrating, but thatʼs the fate of heirs to large legacies...” Kireina sighed, resenting her own upbringing—not her current one, but her true upbringing outside this parallel cosmic world. ”But I believe we must face these challenges head-on. Thereʼs no other way but forward. Frank, letʼs do the thing you did again.”

”Eh? But thatʼs...” Frank hesitated, a little scared.

”Donʼt worry,” Kireina smiled. ”Iʼve got plenty of lifeforce to donate. My healing spells wonʼt restore stamina or vitality; they only heal wounds.”

”Okay...” Frank nodded, quickly holding her hand, making Harumi a little angry. ”...Life Drain.”

FLUOSH!

”Woah?!”

”W-What is this ominous presence?!”

”Ahh!”

Erika, Matsuo, and Harumi were shocked as Frankʼs Aura, normally white, turned deep black, twisting into a sinister power capable of draining all life.

He used it on Kireina, draining her lifeforce greatly—something that should have easily turned her into a dried mummy. Yet, for some reason, it wasnʼt killing her.

The truth was that Kireina possessed an incredible amount of lifeforce, even more now that she was training Martial Arts and constantly cultivating Ki within her.
