Chapter 2841 - 2842: Kireina Versus Susanoo

-----

”I cannot avoid it either! I must counter with my own attacks!”

Susanooʼs sword swing was like a natural disaster. The skies split apart in an instant. Clouds gathered and darkened as lightning rained everywhere.

”Itʼs an honor to fight the God of the Sword and the Storm!” Kireina roared. ”I wish we had met under friendlier circumstances! But I will not go down without a fight!”

Kireina furrowed her brows and swung her two swords, channeling her power beyond the Records of the Man Who Went Against the World.

Yes, through this battle, Kireina had already grasped a new and unique Martial Art of her own.

”Heavenly Grasp.”

By channeling Moving Mountains and Life Explosion, Kireina erupted with all her soul, lifeforce, and cosmic power at once, wielding her very existence through her two swords

SLAAASH!

The skies were ”grasped” by her sword attack. Susanooʼs eyes widened as his own strike was halted by hers.

”Hoh?! Show me more!”

He rushed at her, swinging dozens of slashes without any refined technique. He was not even going all out, merely testing her limits.

Kireina took an offensive stance and charged Susanoo without fear. She knew there was no escape except to surpass him.

”Moving Heavens!”

Through Heavenly Grasp, Kireina moved the heavens with her Intent and Willpower, shaking the skies and clashing against Susanoo.

CLASH!

”Seizing Heavens!”

Through Moving Heavens, she seized the heavens, making their power her own. Heavenly essence fueled her attacks, releasing explosions of blinding light.

CLASH! CLASH!

”Splitting Heavens!”

Through Seizing Heavens, Kireina split the heavens themselves, cutting them into countless pieces. Her devastating strikes concentrated all her effort and willpower, carrying the weight of her entire history.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

”Uuuoohh?! Hahaha! What is this?! Youʼre not bad at all, little Chaos Spawn! Gahahahaha!”

Susanoo laughed heartily, smiling as he clashed endlessly with Kireina. He moved swiftly, chasing her as their swords met again and again.

Kireinaʼs skills and magic proved useless. Susanoo sliced through everything except pure swordsmanship.

She relied on her Gauntlets of Infinity to boost her attack and movement speed, barely keeping up while he held back.

”But if thatʼs all you have, this ends now!”

Susanoo swung his sword forward, then upward, left, and right. His Divine Cosmic Sword Energy compressed and unleashed a titanic cross-shaped attack that split space and time, shattering boundaries and distorting reality.

”Heavenly Sword Ascension.”

”First Step.”

”Heaven-Splitting Crossroads.”

”W-Wha…?!”

Kireina clenched her teeth as immense power struck her, hurling her backward. She held her ground with her swords as best she could.

Following Splitting Heavens, she gathered everything she had, compressing it like Susanoo and adding the fragment of power she had stolen from him.

”Sealing Heavens!”

And…

”Heavenly Sword God Myriad Soul Blade Arts!”

”Shinra Yaoyorozu!”

”…?!”

Susanoo gasped as Kireina imitated his own swordsmanship.

Her aura exploded, resembling thousands of swords forged from her soul, each infused with Sealing Heavens.

A single attack might not suffice, but a myriad could.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

”UUUOOHHH?!”

Susanoo cried out in delight as the countless strikes fell like a storm. His aura surged, thunder transforming into myriad blades.

Their swords danced in endless strikes. Kireina bled from every orifice. Her soul trembled, shattered, and reformed. The sheer pressure of facing Susanoo demanded everything just to stay alive.

Yet she endured. She kept pace.

That alone was so remarkable that Susanoo could not help but praise her tenacity and sword skills, far beyond what he ever expected from a chaos spawn.

”Excellent! Most impressive! Gahahaha! Incredible, Chaos Spawn! Oh dear sister, canʼt we keep her instead?!”

Susanoo laughed, glancing back at Amaterasu, who fumed at the ridiculous suggestion.

”What are you even talking about, Susanoo?! This is no game. We must eradicate that Chaos Spawn! Hold her in place. I will destroy her with an Ultimate Divine Technique!”

”…No!”

”…What?! Susanoo, what are you…?!”

In that moment, against all expectations, Kireina saw the truth in Susanooʼs eyes.

An obsession with the sword.

An obsession so profound he would defy his sisterʼs orders for a worthy duel.

”Kireina is your name, right?! I wonʼt let them interrupt our dance! Keep fighting me! I want to see how far your Sword Heart will take you!”

”Are you serious?!”

”Enough, Susanoo!”

Amaterasu ignored him and began conjuring her spell.

The skies parted as a gigantic sun manifested, radiating overwhelming cosmic energy.

Kireinaʼs face paled. Her mouth fell open.

She knew instinctively.

”I cannot survive that, no matter what!”

Susanoo smiled. His sword glowed with white thunder, becoming thunder itself. The skies bellowed, lightning gathering into his blade.

”I told you not to interrupt me, nee-sama!”

SLAAASH!

With a single strike, the giant sun split apart, exploding and shaking the entire Heavenly Domain. All the Kami stared in shock.

BOOOMMM!!!

Susanoo turned back to Kireina with a smile full of fascination, pointing his sword at her. His aura surged as the gathered thunder transformed into thousands of blades.

”Y-You insane bastard…!” Amaterasu facepalmed. ”What do you think youʼre doing, defying your big sisterʼs commands!”

”Susanoo! What in the world are you doing now?!” Tsukuyomi roared. ”Obey your big sister, you crazy fool!”

”Iʼm sorry, nee-sama, oni-sama! Iʼll make it up to you later!” Susanoo smiled and winked at them before facing Kireina again. ”Shall we resume our battle?!”

”T-Thatʼs…! Iʼm going to die either way, huh?” Kireina smiled bitterly, gripping her two swords tightly. Her aura exploded with immense force as she continued fusing the stolen skill with her unique martial arts, grasping something entirely on her own. ”If thatʼs the case, then so be it…!”

She closed her eyes briefly. When she opened them again, they glowed with a cosmic rainbow light. Her aura surged with all her power and more.

”Iʼm only at the Third Stage of Martial Arts, but through this battle… I can feel it. I can break through to the Fourth Stage, and even the Fifth! Itʼs my only hope. If I integrate the next Stages with my powers, I can evolve my Martial Arts and combine them with all my Skills… This is my only chance. I must seize it, no matter what!”

Thus, amid sorrow, betrayal, and wrath, Kireinaʼs true duel against Susanoo began!
