Epic Of Caterpillar

Chapter 2838 - 2839: Power Beyond Stars

-----

”Divine Heaven Sunlight Dominion!”

”The First Path.”

”Nine Sun Realm!”

In a split second, the Great Ancestor unleashed a series of hand signs and released an immense surge of power. Kireina noticed her necklaces, rings, and earrings glowing in sync with her, acting as mediums. She had heard that Onmyōji and Japanese Sorcerers often used powerful Magical Artifacts as conduits for their spells.

And this was exactly what the Great Ancestor was doing.

FLAAASH!

In a heartbeat, Kireina found herself within an endlessly white and golden realm of pure light. Nine gigantic suns rotated around her, exerting crushing pressure and fiery divine flames that tried to force her to kneel before the Great Ancestor and Amaterasuʼs presence.

”You will face the true power of the Amaterasu Clan, prepared over many years since that monster attacked us! Weʼve all awaited this moment, the day another of your kind dared threaten us again!”

”Nnngghh…!” Kireina clenched her teeth. ”I guess itʼs useless to reason with people as stubborn as you.”

Kireina immediately charged into the Nine Suns. Their gravitational forces and searing divine flames burned her while attempting to tear her limb from limb.

This was a surprisingly powerful and intricate Spell Formation the Great Ancestor had conjured, showcasing the remarkable strength of the beings in this world.

”I guess I have to do it!”

Kireina activated her Cosmic Maxima Ego Forging Ability and began transforming something in her hand while resisting the all-destroying power of the Spell Formation.

The Great Ancestor noticed Kireina holding a strange object—an enormous pillar of light that…

No.

It wasnʼt just that!

”A-Ahhh! What…! Thatʼs Amaterasu-samaʼs finger?! YOU MONSTER!!!”

While attacking Amaterasu and trying to escape, Kireina had indeed severed one of the goddessʼs fingers, which in her grasp resembled a giant pillar of light.

She began refining it, compressing it and shattering Amaterasuʼs lingering Divine Will as the Nine Suns drew closer. Their power started tearing apart her flesh, bones, muscles, and soul.

”Absolute Cosmic Enchantment! Cosmic Star Armament Forging! Star Forging Cosmic Synthesis! Cosmic Vampiric Path Jewel Body: Ability Multiplication, Enhancement, and Evolution!”

Kireina spoke words that seemed like gibberish to others, but she realized each phrase was a powerful Cosmic-Level Spell. Her eyes widened as Amaterasuʼs finger rapidly refined into a long golden katana.

”W-What is that?! NO! DONʼT YOU DAREEEEE!”

The Great Ancestor grew furious. The Nine Suns rushed toward Kireina at maximum speed and crushed her simultaneously, burning and disintegrating her within their fiery power. Her soul shielded her physical body as it died.

BOOOMMM!!!

”Sheʼs…! Itʼs done!” the Great Ancestor gasped. ”I-I did it…! Amaterasu-sama, thereʼs no need to—”

”Cosmic Dual Soul Reincarnation: Gluttonous Archangel of Void & Virtuous Demon of Calamity.”

”…?!”

A voice—no, an authority beyond her level—manifested. Kireinaʼs soul, crushed into nothingness, returned even stronger, shining with bright divinity. Her insectoid body took on a more beautiful, angelic appearance with long golden horns and giant golden feathered wings.

Kireina had willingly let her soul be destroyed to buy time, then activated her Psyche Ability to revive instantly in her other form, the Virtuous Demon of Calamity.

This was the power that allowed Kireina to cheat death multiple times while fighting Noah.

Against this woman, who was not as strong as he had been…

Kireina was certain she could slay her.

”If I must cut the stars, so be it.”

”…! Youʼre not dead?! I extinguished your Soul!!!”

The Great Ancestor furiously attacked Kireina with her Nine Suns, reshaping them into massive hands that grasped her again, stacking their power to unleash all-destroying heat.

However.

”Martial Arts is the unity of Mind and Body.”

”Arcane Magic is the unity of Man and the Supernatural.”

”And Alchemy is the unity of Mana and the Elements.”

Kireina recited her mantra, never forgetting everything she had learned beyond her Skills and System Powers.

Now, she stacked them atop her original strength to go even further.

”Records of the Man Who Went Against the World.”

”First Form – Relentless Pursuit.”

”Second Form – Volcanic Rise.”

”Third Form – Rice Harvest.”

”Fourth Form – Hill Climbing.”

”Fifth Form – Hunterʼs Knife.”

”Sixth Form – Moving Mountains!”

”Seventh Form – Lifeʼs Explosion!”

Kireina unleashed dozens of potent attacks against the hands, shaking them and covering them with deep wounds. The suns trying to suppress her now bled.

But that wasnʼt enough.

”W-What sort of Martial Arts is that?! You think you can just use Amaterasu-samaʼs finger and do as you please?! PERISH! DIE! I WILL ETERNALLY EXTINGUISH YOUR EXISTENCE THIS VERY INSTANT! DIE, YOU MONSTER! I WILL NEVER LET YOU DESTROY MY BELOVED CLAN EVER AGAIN! I WILL NEVER LET THEM DIE AGAIN!!!”

Filled with wrath and fury over the horrible trauma she had suffered years ago, when Kireinaʼs father slaughtered hundreds of thousands in a rampage, the Great Ancestor called forth Amaterasuʼs might. She fused with six additional suns she conjured, transforming into an embodiment of the solar goddess.

”Divine Heaven Sunlight Dominion!”

”The Second and Third Paths.”

”Six Sun Heaven + Shimmering Heaven Lake!”

Two Paths combined into one as her power manifested further, attacking Kireina with titanic, blazing palms that warped reality.

”The Fourth Path!”

”Heaven Sundering Solar Empress Judgment!”

Holy light echoed as a chorus of countless spirits reverberated behind her divine form. Amaterasuʼs consciousness fully manifested and crushed Kireina into the ground while the other nine suns continued forcing her toward death.

Kireina, at that moment, was not panicking.

She had to concentrate. Things had escalated to a ridiculous point, but that did not mean she was going to die now.

Thus.

She combined all Forms of Records of the Man Who Went Against the World while burning and crying.

Yes, she was crying.

The bitterness and sorrow of betrayal, the realization that her life was cursed with ill fate and misfortune.

The tragedy of her life shattering into pieces and her friends suffering because of her.

Kireina cried tears of blood, walking a golden path of burning plasma and sunlight.

”If the heavens deny me, then I shall seize them.”

Her eyes shone brightly with gold and red light. Her golden sword merged with her Aura, turning black and gold, growing to a ridiculous size and extending limitlessly, infinitely.

Holding an Infinite Sword, Kireina swung it forward.

The Moving Mountains and Life Explosion Forms combined into a blazing will. Her soul set ablaze as her angelic demonic wings burned to ashes.

”Heavenly Grasp.”

Her foolish attempt to grasp the heavens that continued rejecting her surged as Kireinaʼs Infinity Sword cut through all things with a single move.

SLAAASH!

”A-Ah?!”

”…What?!”

The Great Ancestor and Amaterasu were both shaken. The entire Dominion split into two halves, shattering into countless pieces.

The Nine Suns trying to destroy her were all cleaved apart. The blade continued its trajectory, spinning completely before returning toward them again and again.

”Moving Heavens!”

”S-Stop!”

SLASH!

”Seizing Heavens!”

SLASH! SLASH!

”Aaaaaaahhhh!”

”Splitting Heavens!”

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

”And…!”

”Sealing Heavens!”

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

Each of Kireinaʼs attacks cut through their divinity and power. The Dominion exploded into pieces, and so did Amaterasuʼs avatar.

The Great Ancestorʼs body was divided cleanly into one hundred pieces. Her divine power attempted to hold her together but ultimately exploded alongside a part of her soul.

”A-Amaterasu-samaaaaaaaaaa!!!”

BOOOMMM!!!
