Epic Of Caterpillar

Chapter 2847 - 2848: Defy Fate

-----

The very existence of Defiance as a Trait stemmed from the fact that Kireina faced a Curse so destructive that her soul fought back against the Misfortune, striving to defy the Fate of Suffering imposed upon her.

Now, as rain poured down and drenched her body, Kireina held her Infinite Heavens Sword and Silvaʼs repaired blade form. Harnessing the glitched power born from the absence of her other self, she could hear them.

The words her sisters had spoken before banishing her to the ”Lower World.”

”…You, who pities the lowly existences trapped in the eternal cycle of suffering and despair within the disgusting Saha World… you shall be cast among them. You shall taste their hunger, their grief, their endless deaths. You shall know the futility of their striving, and in knowing, you shall learn the lesson we have decreed.”

Her sistersʼ words echoed like thunder through her soul, reverberating across every fragment of Chaos that remained of her former self. They were not mere voices; they were laws woven into the fabric of her being.

Kireina had been hurled downward, shattered into pieces, forced into an eternal cycle of reincarnation—starting as a Chaos Spawn, then a caterpillar, devouring, suffering, dying, and rising again. Every trial, every horror, every fleeting joy had been part of this punishment: to live as one of the ”lowly existences” she once pitied.

Standing against Susanoo, soaked in storm and blood, she finally understood. The Saha World was not just a prison; it was a crucible of endurance. It was the realm where mortals bore their suffering, where gods tested their strength, and where even Chaos itself was forced to bend.

Her sistersʼ curse had been meant to break her. Yet within that curse, something else had taken root: Defiance. The trait burning in her soul was not a gift but a rebellion, the spark of resistance against the decree of despair.

Kireina raised her blade, her eyes blazing with storm light. She now fully understood why she had been cast down and what the lesson truly was. She was meant to suffer, to hate this world, and to yearn only for return to the Highest Dimensional Plane, where no suffering, hunger, or despair existed.

She knew where they came from—where she came from. Born as the daughter of one of the highest existences in all Reality, Kireina was the cast-down child of a Dimensional Monarch. Her sisters held dominion over the vast Sun and Moon Heavenly Dimensional Domain, containing three hundred thousand Cosmos, each holding a Universe within. Among them lay the Nameless Universe where she had fallen.

And above all, where the Dimensional Monarchs—devoid of pain, suffering, or struggle—watched over and consumed Reality as they pleased?

It bore countless names.

The Empyrean Throne.

The Apex Continuum.

The Overvoid.

The Crown of Dimensions.

The Absolute Horizon.

The Aeonic Court.

The Axis of Eternity.

The Luminous Expanse.

The Dominion of Origins.

The Ineffable Plane.

The Celestial Canopy.

The Panarchic Realm.

The lowly beings of the Saha World and all below were trapped in an eternal cycle of suffering and despair. It was a disgusting realm holding no value to them beyond vast clouds of primordial cosmic essence they consumed.

Now, she could hear them—their voices.

”Do you understand now, Kireina?”

”I see youʼve truly remembered everything.”

”Come back to us.”

”Leave that disgusting Saha World.”

”You belong here, on this throne above all thrones.”

”These disgusting beings who suffer will always suffer. It is their destiny. Why pity them?”

Kireina wasnʼt sure if these were her own delusions or if her sisters truly spoke to her across the horizon of spacetime.

But she had an answer now, forged through countless lives of suffering—each one remembered as she shattered the boundaries of her limits.

Her power as the daughter of a Dimensional Monarch would never return. It had been stripped away and would remain forever in the Highest Dimensional Canopy.

Yet through her trials of endurance, sin, and pain, she had attained something far more valuable than any power granted at birth.

To her, power born from struggle, suffering, and despair held deeper meaning than anything bestowed easily.

”Yes… I pity them. I pity the mortals who suffer. I pity the worlds that burn. But I will not accept your lesson. I will not bow to the fate you imposed. If this Saha World is endless suffering, then I shall carve a path through it. If despair is eternal, then I shall forge hope from its ashes!”

The Infinite Heavens Sword roared with her will, its edge gleaming with fractured, distorted light. Silvaʼs sword form resonated, a song of steel and light echoing through the storm. Her Infinity Gauntlets, which should have vanished, remained fused with her flesh, blood, and soul. Kireina refined them into true Cosmic Treasures as she attained Enlightenment and began ascending through suffering and despair.

”That blade…!” Susanooʼs eyes widened. ”It possesses a history… a Sword Heart greater than mine?!” His storm surged, seas rising higher, tornadoes of water clawing at the heavens. Yet Kireinaʼs aura flared—not with despair, but with defiant brilliance that shook even the watching kami. Amaterasuʼs eyes narrowed, Tsukuyomiʼs gaze grew cold, and Susanooʼs laughter boomed like crashing waves. ”Hahaha! GAHAHAHAHA! NOW COME! SHOW ME YOUR TRUE SWORD PATH, KIREINA!!!”

Before Kireina stood not just Susanoo and the Kami, but the Cursed Fate planted upon her—the Misfortune that, no matter how hard she tried, distorted the world and stripped away her happiness, stability, and joy.

A black star.

A gigantic black star, larger than the universe itself, shone above. While lesser sorcerers cursed with runes, spirits, or specters, beings beyond Universal-Realm Entities like her sisters used entire universes as curses.

It was simply impossible for Kireina to destroy.

For now.

”I will show them that I donʼt need my birthright to reach them. I will prove it here and now—that I need neither their help nor desire to return!” Kireina roared. The Kami could not understand her words, but Frank, his friends, and even Matsuo felt raw emotion resonating in their hearts. ”This Saha World, these people! They are not your playthings; they are not your food!”

She charged. Her Infinite Heavens Sword resonated with her will. Forged from the finger of a Galaxy Ruler, it absorbed Silva and then Kireinaʼs entire soul, leaving her body as the child of a Darkwood Fae and the Chaos Spawn who had defied fate to bear her.

”Kireina… I understand what youʼre trying to do. I shall wield your soul and defy Fate.”
