A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 646: Chapter 646: Peace Treaty

Six months later.

The tenth engagement in the war between the Nine-Headed Fury and the Shadow Thousand Eyes Academy has ended.

Despite several Third-Level Great Sorcerers returning to defend the Shadow Thousand-Eyes Wizard Tower, the ultimate outcome for the Shadow Thousand Eyes Wizard Academy was the same as the previous nine attempts; they couldn’t inflict lethal damage on the Nine-Headed Fury Wizard Tower and destroy it.

As the Shadow Thousand-Eyes Wizards had to abandon the tenth assault on the Nine-Headed Fury Wizard Tower and return to their academy, all the wizards seemed to anticipate the influx of large families and trading guilds driven by interests, flooding into the Nine-Headed Fury Wizard Academy with cooperation contracts.

To be able to maintain their Wizard Tower’s Source of Magic Power without dissipating under nearly a century of attacks from the Shadow Thousand-Eyes Wizard Academy signifies that the Nine-Headed Fury Wizard Academy has gained the qualification for legacy, and built its own foundation.

An anticipated situation.

If the Shadow Thousand Eyes Wizard Academy insists on continuing the academy war for another hundred years, the strength of both sides will get significantly balanced, rather than the current situation which heavily favors the Nine-Headed Fury Academy, forcing them to hide under the last defensive barrier of the Sorcerer’s Tower’s Source of Magic Power.

...

”Green, not bad, not bad, really not bad!”

Peranos looked at his third disciple, Green, who had just returned from a mission. The deep and calm eyes beneath the Face of Truth gave one a sense of reliable trust. This was Peranos’ second life triumph after Youquan!

”Green, Eight Rainbows Nevis, come, sit down.”

Mother Alice had meticulously prepared a sumptuous dinner table. Xiao Ba let out an excited screech, flew towards Alice, and after instinctively bickering with Gahei on the table, it flew to its own spot.

Green handed the Triple-Headed Serpent Protection to Peranos, and nodded respectfully towards his mentor who looked at him with satisfaction and expectation, a relaxed smile as if he was home appeared beneath the Face of Truth.

After glancing around the hall, Green softly asked, ”Where is Brother Valo?”

”That guy...”

Peranos shook his head and smiled gently, ”Don’t bother with him. Lately, he’s been tinkering with something in his territory, seems like he discovered some secret.”

After saying that, Peranos made a gesture, and a huge Six-Pointed Star Magic Array appeared brightly on the ceiling. A pure beam of the Source of Magic Power shone down, encompassed the Triple-Headed Serpent Protection, and took it in.

Afterwards, in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere, everyone quietly enjoyed this exquisite and wonderful dinner.

...

Three years later.

Dadalon, Peranos, Uto, and many other heads of the Nine-Headed Fury Wizard Academy gazed into the distance at Amiron Kirou, Mig, and other heads of the Shadow Thousand Eyes Wizard Academy, with utmost calm.

Among the many academy heads, there were as many as seventy guardians of the Wizard World, including six high-level World Guardians that could rival Stigma Sorcerers!

In a typical small or moderate world, this force of World Guardians alone would indeed be incredibly formidable. However, for the powerful Wizard World, it was merely a temporary assembly of insignificant power in a remote corner of the world.

”This is the peace treaty from the Shadow Thousand-Eyes Academy for ending this academy war. Henceforth, the Shadow Thousand Eyes Wizard Academy is willing to maintain peace with the Nine-Headed Fury Wizard Academy, develop together, and ensure the continuation of the human race between the two locations.”

It was Amiron Kirou who spoke.

The contract, made from an unknown foreign creature’s parchment, exuded the aura of the Source of Magic Power from the Shadow Thousand-Eyes Wizard Tower, evidently representing the will of the Shadow Thousand-Eyes Stigma Sorcerer.

As for the specific terms and conditions of peace between the two academies above, they were beyond the reach of low-grade wizards.

”The Nine-Headed Fury Wizard Academy accepts the peace proposal from the Shadow Thousand Eyes Wizard Academy. We hope the two academies can put aside past grievances, progress together, and contribute their own share to the reproduction and development of humans in the Wizard World.”

The Soul Fire of the Second Uncle Dadalon had weakened to its limit. With a hunched figure, he exchanged contracts with Amiron Kirou. Both represented the hundreds and thousands of Arcane Wizards and the high-statured will of Stigma Sorcerers behind them, shaking hands and reconciling.

At this moment, not only did the Arcane Wizards from both academies breathe a sigh of relief, showing relaxed smiles on their faces, but they also could finally liberate themselves from nearly a century of brutal academy warfare...

Dozens of Wizard World Guardians supervised the entire peace treaty exchange process, witnessing the peace for both sides, which was considered the closing ceremony of their mission this time. Most World Guardians had participated in numerous such missions, with newcomers like Mina still being rarely seen.

”Haha, Secret Keeper Grimm of the Nine-Headed Fury, third disciple of Headmaster Peranos, is surely destined to stir up the tides in the Wizard World in the future.”

Amiron Kirou said with a smile.

Dadalon, with a wrinkled, old face, showed a grateful smile but said nothing. After nodding in a ceremonial manner, he was about to leave when suddenly, no matter if it was Dadalon or Amiron Kirou, or the World Guardians or numerous Arcane Wizards, they all looked up in astonishment towards the sky.

Only the Dean Mig of the Shadow Thousand Eyes Academy, with eyes on his pale mask full of excitement, glared hatefully towards the direction of the Nine-Headed Fury Academy amid the faint and twisted figure of Green among the many Arcane Wizards.

The wind was rising, clouds surging, thunder leaping, and torrents of elemental forces gathered. Waves of space ripples spread out.

Stigmata descent?

”Who is Green? Who is Green!?”

The Elemental Cloud coalesced into a massive head more than twenty meters big, with a male face, and flames of anger blazing fiercely, a suffocating sense of oppression descended from the sky.

This was not the descent of a Stigma, it was merely a will of the Stigma.

”Hmm?”

”Gah?”

Green and Xiao Ba on his shoulder stared blankly. A will of a Stigma Sorcerer suddenly descended to find him and seemed extremely angry. When did he provoke a stranger Stigma Sorcerer?

”Was it you who killed Wulodi?”

The head of the Elemental Cloud looked at Green, roaring ferociously. Green quietly contacted a will within the Crystal Ball while trying hard to remember who Wulodi was.

Gradually, Green seemed to recall that among the two wizards he killed in the Nest of the Evil Eye at the Shadow Thousand Eyes Wizard Academy, one had the Natural Force Talent, and his name seemed to be Wulodi, while the other seemed to be a disciple of a Shadow Thousand Eyes Academy Dean.

Before Green could speak, Mina, one of the World Guardians above, suddenly interjected, ”According to the rules of the Wizard World Guardians, no Stigma Sorcerer may engage in combat within the Wizard World. Do you dare to violate the rules of the World Guardians?”

As Mina spoke, not only did the dozens of lower-grade World Guardians, but even the six senior World Guardians couldn’t help but look towards the sky with cold expressions. (To be continued.
