A month later.

After leaving the Wind Valley, Grimm and Claudia did not go directly to the Infernal Spirit World, but instead made a stop at the Ice Straits in between the Arctic Tundra and the Infernal Spirit World.

They made the stop as they had noticed a small island that did not show any signs of abyss energy when they were flying across it.

An island that was once the Infernal Spirit World which had not been affected by the Abyssal Moss had caught the attention of both of the sorcerers.

Hence, this rare occurrence showed the level of severity of the world’s abyssalization.

Claudia went off to collect the specimens of original lifeforms on the island in order to compare them with Abyssal Creatures that were found in other areas. Based on the comparison, a hypothetical prediction would be formed about the Abyss Cataclysm scenario that would happen in the future, which was going to be more than ten years later.

Grimm drew out the Dimensional Gap on the ground and took out a hundred units of the Blood of the Tainted Eye, he was planning to perform some experiments.

“Master, there is no need to hesitate, it would be best to use these to produce high grade consumables via the mysticism method, as you have mentioned previously, this should be similar to the Demon Eye Tear that was obtained from Antonio.”

Little Myna said in order to persuade Grimm.

“Are you sure that this formula will work?”

Grimm hesitated and could not make up his mind.

“Even with the help of dozens of younglings at Mount Serpentine, it still took a few arrivals of the Eye of Destroyer in order to gather a hundred units of the Blood of the Tainted Eye, it would be such a waste if these were to be wasted here, perhaps there might be greater rewards if these were to be traded with some high level sorcerers.”

Little Myna was highly energetic and filled with confidence!

“Caw caw caw, don’t you worry master.”

A pot of red mixture of blood bubbled as it was boiled under the fire of magic stones, Grimm had collected a mixture of blood from a hundred types of creatures, combined with a hundred units of the Blood of the Tainted Eye.

Little Myna tapped his head using his wings as he was uncertain, while stating, “Next would be… seeds of the Calm Soul Grass.”

Grimm opened the Dimensional Gap and took out a small black bottle that seemed to be filled with seeds of Walnuts, it was releasing black coloured breath that formed images of spooky grimaces.

“No, we have to first put in some Tear Lizards’ saliva!”

Suddenly, Little Myna thought of something and immediately stopped Grimm who was about to put in the seeds of the Calm Soul Grass into the pot.

Grimm was flustered and waved his hands.

Elemental sorcerers that were used to precise and coordinated experiments would usually not be able to adapt to mystical experiments.

Grimm asked angrily, “What exactly should be the next step?”

“Caw! Calm down master, caw caw caw, it was my mistake, I messed up the steps, it should be the Tear Lizards’ saliva first!”

Little Myna nodded continuously and seemed to be sure of himself.

Grimm gave a snort of disgust and displayed an angered expression, he thought of something and spoke in a deep voice, “The formula that you gave me did not include this ingredient, and I do not have it now!”

It would be too late for Grimm to gather the ingredients now, the sorcerers assembly point was too far from them.

Damn it, would this be the end of the experiment…

Little Myna was not trustworthy.

Grimm let out a sigh while he looked at the boiling pot of soup that was filled with ingredients that were about to go to waste.

On the other hand, Little Myna acted as if there was nothing to worry about and proceeded to spit into the pot of soup.

Little Myna continued to murmur, “Since there is no Tear Lizards’ saliva? Just use mine, the outcome might be better, caw caw caw. Next would be seeds from the Calm Soul Grass, and Mermaid tears…”

Grimm was shocked and looked at Little Myna, would this work?

Indeed, it would be best to try not to learn multiple things at once, especially if it involved knowledge from an area that had vast discrepancies.

Grimm, who upheld precise and coordinated practice on experiments of the elemental sorcerer, was unable to imagine what would be the disastrous outcome of the experiment that was being handled by Little Myna that practiced mystical experiments.

Withstanding the discomfort that he had, Grimm placed the seeds of Calm Soul Grass into the pot of soup along with a drop of precious Mermaid tears from a small bottle.

An hourglass went by.

The texture of the liquid in the pot had thickened and started to caramelized, black smoke arose from the pot and formed into a devil that showed its fangs and claws; although the fierce and ugly expression only lasted for a short while, but it was captured and contained by the pot of soup that was prepared by Grimm.

“Caw caw caw, look master, we have successfully produced Hell’s Claw!”

Little Myna pointed his wings toward the black smoke in the pot and shouted enthusiastically while jumping around.

He probably did not have many successful experiments before this.

Not only did Grimm feel extremely lucky to have such a successful outcome from the experiment, he was also truly amazed by the “mysterious” side of mysticism itself.

Would the Hell’s Claw be the same as what was described by Little Myna, which was able to amplify the effects of the Blood of the Tainted Eye by tenfold?

A hundred units of the Blood of the Tainted Eye was already highly terrifying, it was about the same level of self-deceptive mirage that Grimm was caught in when he was in the Phagocytic Shells of Mount Serpentine.

If it were to be a thousand units, it would almost be equivalent to low level creatures that had been collecting sea serpent’s pearls on Mount Serpentine for some time, and it would be extremely difficult to escape from the illusions caused by the mountain even if they were just moderately casted.

“Wait for a little longer, the Hell’s Claw has yet to fully form and there are still parts of the liquid that have not been completely fermented.

Little Myna stopped Grimm from collecting the unusual smoke.

A few minutes later, Little Myna gave instructions for Grimm to place a green Cat’s Eye Stone into the soup and simultaneously put out the magical flame.

Grimm was shocked when he saw that the unusual smoke from the pot of soup was absorbed by the Cat’s Eye Stone.

At that moment, unbelievable changes took place on the Cat’s Eye Stone that seemed to be common.

It turned blood red, and it looked similar to the Eye of Destroyer that was covered with blood when Grimm broke out from the illusion of the mouth of the Spring of Serpentine altar.

The size had shrunk by tens of thousands of times.

It was as if Grimm was hearing unusual voices from a foreign world from the Cat’s Eye Stone that he had named as the Hell’s Claw, and there was indeed a secretive and deceptive impression that was similar to Mount Serpentine.

Grimm remained silent and put away the Cat’s Eyes Stone.

Every mysticism and mystical energy that were seemingly unattainable would have a common characteristic to leverage on capabilities from creatures of higher levels, undoubtedly, the Hell’s Claw made use of some sort of method to leverage on the power of Mount Serpentine.

The energy output of the Hell’s Claw would bring horrifying effects to its victim once the illusory mirage was successful.

Two days later.

Grimm continued to produce two Hell’s Claw with a hundred unit of the Blood of the Tainted Eye respectively, while Claudia finally returned from collecting specimens.

“How was it, did you collect anything?”

Grimm asked, while both he and Claudia were flying in the sky as they headed toward the Infernal Spirit World.

Despite the seductive look on Claudia’s face, Grimm was still able to read the inner evil thought of hers from her evil grin.

“Actually, I was thinking, would the Broodmothers at the Arctic Tundra still be able to survive if an Abyss Cataclysm were to occur in this world? Furthermore, after the impact of the large scale abyssalization toward the World-Core, would the Demon-Hunters in the expedition still…”

Grimm replied calmly, “There is no need to worry, the Battle Command has plans to stop the Abyss Cataclysm from advancing; the Abyssal Pollution is only a method to battle against the outer world, and not to create an Abyssal World.”
