In addition to physically breaking away by force, eradicating mirages involved the ability to distinguish it as an illusionary world with your wisdom and destroy the conflicts of Laws in the Spectral World.

Grimm was certain that he had fallen into some unknown spectral world while suffering a minor memory loss.

Despite the loss of memory, his subconscious, or rather his sixth sense, told him that something had happened to him beforehand, he simply forgot what it was.

It was like when you woke up the next day, trying to remember the obscure dream the night before but had forgotten the contents of the dream.

“Argh…”

Suddenly, Grimm’s memories of the various worlds were spilling back into his mind like the film reels going through the projector—the Demon-Hunting expedition in the Infernal Spirit World, the Burrow in the Burrow World, the Destructive Force Gauge in the Sorcerers World, the Shadow World, the Holy Tower of Seven Rings, the Tree of Life, the Holy Tower Apex Battle, the bloody millstone newcomer trials, the academy territorial battle, the Death Sail League…

As if Grimm’s memories were going backwards, all the characters and backdrops in the Spectral World were being played in reverse at high speed. At the same time, the world was becoming blurrier and more distorted, Grimm could even feel the edges of the world.

Grimm, at the moment, was surrounded by a mystifying and surreal Spectral World.

This world was infinitely vast, but also narrow.

It was infinitely vast and broad because it could reproduce any World Law in any form, whether it was the Sorcerers World, the Shadow World, the Burrow World, or the Infernal Spirit World. There was not a world it could not create as long as the world existed in Grimm’s memory or imagination.

It was infinitely narrow because the simulation depended heavily on Grimm’s perception.

It was not the real world, it existed objectively. It was just a world created for Grimm, and setting Grimm as its main character.

It was truly a fantastically yet terrifyingly wonderful world.

It could make people indulge in such a life that they were willing to perish in the real world.

He figured that some intelligent creatures who were frustrated in the real world would be willing to stay in the Spectral World despite knowing full well that it was merely an imaginary world.

Gradually, the Spectral World around Grimm quickly shifted its backdrop into the Bi Seer City in the Sorcerers World.

Grimm could sense the time difference, just like the unreal time perception in dreams.

Furthermore, due to the vagueness of Grimm’s memory, there were several places in the Spectral World of the Bi Seer City that appeared to be distorted and blurry, although all the events in this city unfolded irreversibly.

Old Ham was alive, sitting on the carriage holding his pipe, the smell of tobacco, everything was such a familiar sight…

Every morning, they got up in the dark of the day, went to the Viscount’s residence to clean up the mess created by the nobles after a night of partying…

The book ‘Canine Olfactory Enhancement and Odor Mapping’ which was discarded by young Lefay in the Viscount’s residence…

That cold and harsh winter, Grimm and other street boys met Old Ham who was as helpless and lonely as they were. After just a few words with him, Grimm started a better life, a place to settle down…

“Huh? This is…”

At this point, the world around Grimm shrunk into a distorted and narrow frame as his memory deteriorated to almost nothing. Who could clearly remember their childhood days anyway?

However, Grimm held a slight expectation in his head, he intended to reveal his hidden subconscious memory through this Spectral World, he wanted to see his… parents!

Seemingly, it was an ordinary and common thing to ask for, but for Grimm, it meant everything in the world, it was his longing desire.

For the past hundreds of years, Grimm had reminisced countless memories, but no matter how far he could remember, his most primitive memory was that winter. It was a very harsh and cold winter, the ground was painted white with snow, he was extremely cold and hungry, crossing a frozen corpse at the corner of the Bi Seer City to beg for food on the streets.

The corpse was another beggar on the street.

In this Spectral World, Grimm was back to that corner of the Bi Seer City!

The surrounding space was askew. He could faintly discern the familiar blue-black brick walls and white snow from the dimly distorted world. It was so cold, Grimm felt his body start to stiffen as he was freezing.

“I’m so cold, better find a place and get something warm…”

With this in his mind, Grimm marched forward, crossing a frozen beggar in shabby clothes and walked towards a bar named The Moon Restaurant.

The moment the creaking sound of the opening door resonated, everyone in the bar looked at him.

In the era of the Infernal God, everyone was very compassionate and sympathetic. A sturdy man with a stubbly beard and large hands grasped Grimm’s hand and said in a warmhearted tone, “Poor buddy, he’s freezing.”

The bar owner sprinted to the door and chided the waiter behind him, “Why are you still standing there? Go and get some food and water!”

The boy named Wade who was imprinted in Grimm’s memory appeared in front of him.

Wade’s wisdom was acknowledged by Sorcerer Apollo by means of bribery. Later, he, Grimm, Lefay, and others arrived at the Krakatoa Harbor, and went on a cruise to the Sorcerer Continent.

Wade at this time was very young, he was only slightly older than Grimm.

“Hi, I’m Wade, can we be friends?”

Despite the compassion and concern from the people around him, Grimm shook his head and mumbled in a deep voice, “No, it’s all fake, it’s just an illusion. If they are really so sympathetic, why don’t they care about the beggars outside?”

As if the ripples had disrupted the moon in the river and a crack had shattered the flower on the mirror, a loud crack echoed around Grimm as the world crumbled again.

The world became pitch black, the only thing visible was a tiny crack in front of him. Instinctively, Grimm squeezed himself into the crack.

The view that appeared in front of his eyes was the corner of the street in Bi Seer City.

“This…”

The dark crack was the Dimensional Gap!

However, the scene in this world…

Was this his hidden memory?

What did this mean? Was he not a native in the Sorcerers World like Solumn? Was he a monster born from some Spectral World? Did he not have a father or mother after all?

But, why was he in the human form of the Sorcerers World, and not in the form of other species?

Ugh!

Suddenly, Grimm experienced what felt like shortness of breath, as if he was drowning and suffocating. His body convulsed like the pain he experienced before releasing the Wild Instinct. Grimm tried to struggle with all he could and the Spectral World shattered completely.

He started to feel something warm, soft and sticky.

“Ugh…”

Grimm opened his eyes and fumbled around, trying to grab hold of something like he was waking up from a nightmare.

The Nature Law had changed drastically in this world. He was inside what seemed like a narrow and small container. The bottom was a layer of meaty flesh which was rather warm and moist, while above him was a cold hard exoskeleton.

The meaty flesh seemed to be a living creature as it kept on wriggling.

Grimm wanted to initiate his sorcery power yet he could not feel the Balanced Law of the endless world here. There was no Balanced Law in the Spectral World.

Grimm pushed the solid exoskeleton hard, trying to escape from this enclosed space. With his great effort and powerful Constitution, he heard a ‘squeak’, as if a door was opened. At the same time, Grimm felt the violent squirm coming from the flesh below him as if it were repelling him.

Gradually.

From a crack in this narrow space, Grimm’s eyes under the Mask of Truth stumbled upon the grayish dark sky, and countless shells were drifting in the sky. There were thousands of them in various sizes.

They looked like floating coffins…
