Swoosh! Swoosh!

A couple of Demon-Hunters flew over, it was a sorcerer and a sorceress.

The sorcerer was followed by a giant hunting dog that was bulky and had a muscular body, it was three meters in length and two meters in height, and its blood-red tongue was hanging from its mouth, while it wore a leash covered with gemstones that were glowing with a mysterious red light.

The sorceress had a magic staff with her, and another longbow behind her back, she had caught Grimm’s attention as he stared at her for quite some time, Grimm had a glimpse of Lefay during her time as a sorcerer-apprentice.

Magic staves were widely used among Elemental Sorcerers.

The Sabbatic Goat Staff would be an example of how a good magic staff could amplify sorceries cast by sorcerers.

“Masters.”

Both of the Level-1 sorcerers were shocked and they proactively greeted Grimm and Claudia.

No wonder…

Out of their six Demon-Hunting expeditions for more than two thousand years, it was their first close range encounter with a legendary Rank-1 Honor Badge Demon-Hunter.

Based on their understanding, a Rank-1 Honor Badge Demon-Hunter was only heard of as tales, and was far more uncommon than Stigmata Sorcerers!

“Hmm.”

Grimm nodded in return and remained silent, it was an image that a Dark Sorcerer would usually have.

Claudia looked around the wide mining area that was filled with tens of thousands of mantises that were mining Dark Gold ores with their arm blades, while she spoke proudly from the top of the mining area in a husky voice: “This is Master Grimm, and he is here in the Dark Gold Mining Hill to collect information on the Arctic Tundra of this world.”

Both of the sorcerers were shocked.

In the eyes of common Demon-Hunters, the status of such a great sorcerer was already on par with the Stigmata Sorcerers, and would be in the position to coordinate the battle plans of Demon-Hunting expeditions that would involve hundreds of thousands of Demon-Hunters.

Why would the highly regarded Demon-Hunter be attracted to inspect on the Arctic Tundra of the Dark Gold Hill during the Demon-Hunting expedition? Did the precious mining resources that were being eyed by the sorcerers have something to do with the entire system of the Demon-Hunting expedition of the Arctic Tundra?

Resources that were precious to the sorcerers would not be equally sought after by the creatures from the Infernal Spirit World.

The habitants of the place did not even have the capability to understand the characteristics of the metal, perhaps to them, the Dark Gold ores were just the same as normal stones that could be found anywhere.

At least, the discovery on the extraction of Dark Gold from the Dark Gold ores was only discovered by a random encounter after the Alchemist had dedicated their continuous efforts from generation to generation.

“Masters, what can we do for you? Nyalu and I are both responsible for these four thousand slaves from the northwest of Dark Gold Hill.”

The sorcerer spoke sincerely.

The slaves around the mining hill noticed the presence of a highly esteemed evil sorcerer, and secretly they peeked at Grimm with their eyes that were filled with hatred and fear.

Roar!

The giant hunting dog that was behind the sorcerer let out a growl, and the slaves in the area were frightened and continued on with their work.

“I need to have the statistics of the resources around the Arctic Tundra, lead me to the location in this Dark Gold Hill that is rich in resources so that I can take a look.”

Grimm commanded in a deep voice.

“Yes.”

Without any hesitation, both of the sorcerers brought Grimm and Claudia to another spot on the Dark Gold Hill and cleared away all of the mantis slaves that were around, then they pointed towards a dark mining tunnel that was on the ground: “This is the location that has the most abundant amount of resources in the entire Dark Gold Hill.”

A day had passed.

Grimm and Claudia carefully handpicked a batch of raw Dark Gold ores.

Dark Gold was highly resistant towards high temperature and the method of purifying it was different from normal stones that would usually require the fire refining method, even if it was only residue from the Dark Gold, it would still be difficult for low-level sorcerers to remove it just by using the fire refining method.

It was the reason that had driven the exploration of generations of Alchemists to discover the Ice Storm refining method.

By using the Ice Storm refining method, there would be wastage during the removal of the outer residue layer of the Dark Gold ores; however, it was much easier compared to the fire refining method and it was the most common method in the Sorcerers World.

After collecting enough raw resources, both Grimm and Claudia excused themselves, and secretly flew towards a far away direction.

“Master, why not let Claudia prepare dinner today?”

While flying in the air, suddenly, Little Myna suggested into Grimm’s ear in a low voice.

Grimm gave Little Myna a stare.

“What now? You have been well fed for decades, and now you are trying to be picky with food?”

“Caw caw, that is not true, it was just a sudden urge in me craving for spiciness, caw caw caw…”

After nine days of flying across the Arctic Tundra.

Grimm had a hard time looking, and finally, he found the Wind Valley of the Arctic Tundra, the place where the Acraepoids had cultivated the Tree of Soul Fusion on a large scale.

However, it was now…

As soon as the Infernal Spirit World had been invaded by the army of the Demon-Hunting expedition, the Arctic Tundra had been conquered by the Broodmother race.

The Tree of Soul of a mature size was rare around the area, as it had been heavily exploited by the Broodmothers to gather the shockingly hefty amount of Sorcerer Coins that was required by the Sorcerer’s Will.

Combined with the disseminated invasion of Abyssal Moss towards the Infernal Spirit World, it had greatly hindered Grimm’s aim to study further on an original Tree of Soul from the Wind Valley.

However, Grimm did not want to give up.

The discovery of sorcerers knowledge on the Tree of Soul would be utilized to drive the increase of knowledge towards chimeras, which could also contribute to part of Grimm’s journey as a sorcerer in the future.

“This is the wind intersection point between the Infernal Spirit World and the Arctic Tundra, and this was the place where the Abyssal Moss was first disseminated in the Arctic Tundra.”

Claudia pointed towards the black mosses that were covered with ice.

The Arctic Tundra was once a pure and peaceful land for the White Ice Fairies in the world, now, the place had been destroyed with bumps and bruises, and filled with stubborn Abyssal Mosses.

“What are they doing?”

Grimm asked while pointing towards a naked foreign creature that was black in colour and had six arms.

“These are the Broodmothers of the Arctic Tundra that were chosen by the Sorcerer’s Will. This is the most abyssalized place of the Arctic Tundra, and the sage of the Broodmother race has sent every potential spider here to go through the Abyssal Training that is aimed at transforming them into Abyssal Creatures.”

Claudia let out a sneer, it was an evil look that every Dark Sorcerer would naturally have.

“If that is the case, as soon as the next Abyssal Cataclysm occurs, they would have the chance to utilize the Sorcerer’s Will to replace the Acraepoids as the ruler of this world.”

“Hmm.”

Grimm nodded and stopped paying attention to the Broodmothers that were training at the place that was filled with Abyssal Creatures.

A huge dark Abyssal Cloud appeared ahead, it was an indication of high-level Abyssal Moss pollution, it would be the beginning of the Abyssal Cataclysm as soon as the clouds had covered the entire world.
