Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

The old eunuch frowned upon hearing this and said, ”You’re not very old, but you seem to know quite a lot. Yes, this is my secret skill, the Sunflower Divine Skill!”

As he spoke, the old eunuch flicked his orchid fingers in front of Chen Jie’s eyes.

Chen Jie looked at him and said, ”Oh, Eunuch, with such great martial arts skills, why hide in this dark inner treasury? Now that we’re attacking the imperial palace, why don’t you quickly go to rescue the Emperor? Perhaps you’ll gain his favor and become the venerable Nine Thousand Years!”

The old eunuch sneered upon hearing this, ”Serve others? This eunuch has never served anyone in his life.”

Never served anyone?

Chen Jie looked at the old eunuch in surprise and said, ”You’ve entered the palace as a eunuch and yet never served anyone?”

The old eunuch replied, ”Humph, I have been hidden in the inner treasury for seventy years, never interacting with anyone. I seek breakthroughs in martial arts, not to be a dog for the royal family. If I hadn’t been...back then...”

”Forget it, I won’t tell you so much. If you return the Dao Fruit today, I won’t fight you. If not, I’ll take your life today!”

Chen Jie looked at the old eunuch pointing at him, then laughed and said, ”Eunuch, even after castration, you still have such a fiery temper. You see, I’ve acquired the Dao Fruit today, so returning it is impossible. However, what you said is correct; I don’t want to become enemies with you either. Why don’t we turn hostility into friendship? Eunuch, just pretend you didn’t see me today.”

”Let’s not intrude upon each other’s affairs, wouldn’t that be wonderful!”

Hearing this, the old eunuch’s eyes turned red, ”You’re delusional!”

”I’ve guarded that Dao Fruit for a year. If my skill didn’t require waiting for a Nine Stars Moon day to consume it, I would have eaten it long ago. How could it be your turn!”

Chen Jie replied, ”Eunuch is right, you need a Nine Stars Moon, but I don’t. So I’ll borrow the Dao Fruit for now. When I have an extra Dao Fruit in the future, I’ll return one to you. How about that?”

Chen Jie spoke to the eunuch, feeling he had shown great sincerity.

After all, that thing was placed in the inner treasury. Both he and the eunuch are essentially thieves. How can it be that just because you discovered it first, it belongs to you? Such a concept is unheard of.

Now, being able to propose returning a Dao Fruit in the future shows great sincerity.

If the eunuch is still not satisfied, then Chen Jie has no other option. He can’t abandon the Dao Fruit to appease the old eunuch’s feelings.

”Humph, you little thief, do you really take me for a fool? If that’s the case, this eunuch won’t waste words with you. Today I must take your life!”

After finishing, the old eunuch’s figure rapidly twisted, and the movement technique of the Sunflower Manual was exhibited. The core of the Sunflower Manual is one word: fast; to bring ultimate power through extreme speed.

As the saying goes: Among the world’s martial arts, speed is unmatched!

At this moment, the eunuch’s movement was ghost-like, and his speed was as fast as lightning, rushing directly towards Chen Jie.

Seeing the old fellow being stubborn, Chen Jie prepared not to hold back. At this moment, he unleashed the Seventeen Dragon Capturing Palms [Dragon Fighting in the Wilderness]. This palm technique was his introductory hand technique, and it was extremely fierce. Improved by Chen Jie, the hand technique became even quicker, and as it was swiftly deployed, it enveloped the enemy like a machine gun.

At this moment, Chen Jie’s hand techniques cloaked the old eunuch within palm power, resembling waves of fury. Dragon roars echoed throughout the inner treasury, and Ah Da, Ah Er, Ah San, and others witnessed the battle with excitement. However, Ah Da remained composed, noticing that Chen Jie was not at a disadvantage, and immediately said, ”Keep pretending, don’t stop.”

Upon hearing this, the others immediately began to pack away treasures one after another.

Meanwhile, Chen Jie was delighted in his battle with the old eunuch, fiercely attacking the old eunuch with formidable double palm strikes.

The old eunuch, relying on the ghostly movement technique of the Sunflower Manual, continuously shuttled, reaching extreme speeds.

Simultaneously, he nimbly shuttled between gaps of palm power, with his left hand as a claw and right hand holding a sword, both hands waving, combining attack and defense, advancing and retreating.

His long sword, five feet three inches long, made of finely crafted steel, was incredibly sharp. As he swung it, each movement carried a cold gleam.

Chen Jie, on the other hand, propelled the palm power of the Seventeen Dragon Capturing Palms to clash with the old eunuch’s long sword, with robust Gang Qi attached to the hand technique, giving the palm power the effect of iron and steel.

At this moment, the collision of palm power and the long sword produced sparks flying in all directions.

For a time, it was hard to distinguish a winner between them.

Chen Jie was secretly surprised; the old eunuch’s movement technique was incredibly strange, able to dance within his palm techniques, not something a regular martial arts could achieve.

Moreover, during attacks, the moves were vicious and angles were tricky, almost injuring him several times.

It’s undeniable that the Sunflower Manual is worthy of its fame as a divine skill in Jianghu.

Chen Jie’s brow furrowed as he focused on maximizing the Seventeen Dragon Capturing Palms, increasingly fierce in his strikes, attempting to suppress the old eunuch’s relentless offensive.

The old eunuch, however, was no easy opponent, relying on the strange Sunflower Manual to glide up and down, reaching ghost-like speed levels.

With the fight continuing, the old eunuch’s speed increased, and the moves became even trickier.

Chen Jie utilized the Seventeen Dragon Capturing Palms, seeking a flaw. Unexpectedly, the old eunuch deceitfully presented a flaw; upon noticing it, Chen Jie realized it was the eunuch’s trap.
