Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Great Capital East City Gate.

A steel knife directly pierced through the chest of a patrol soldier, instantly staining his clothes with blood, and the body slowly fell.

”Lord Dharma King, the city gate has been taken over.”

A disciple of the Zoroastrian Sect came up behind Fang Guozhen and knelt on one knee to report their situation. Fang Guozhen heard him and nodded slightly, saying, ”Hmm, not bad. Inform the Five Elements Flags to come.”

”Yes.”

At this time, a group quickly approached, led by the respective Flag Masters of the Five Elements Flags, of course, excluding the Thick Earth Flag. Thick Earth Banner Master Yan Heng was currently digging a tunnel beneath the Imperial City roots!

Aside from the Thick Earth Flag, the elite soldiers of the other four flags were already fully prepared.

They included the Fire Banner Master: Xing Ran, Flood Banner Master: Tang Yang, Giant Wood Banner Master: Wen Cangsong, Sharp Gold Banner Master: Wu Jingcao

The four Flag Masters bowed to Fang Guozhen all at once: ”Greetings, Dragon King!”

Fang Guozhen looked at the four of them and said, ”Hmm, no need for formalities. Tonight is a battle; are you all prepared?”

Upon hearing this, the four responded in unison: ”Rest assured, Dragon King, everything is ready.”

Fang Guozhen nodded: ”I’m confident in your capabilities. We’ve been brothers for decades, going through life and death together many times. I trust in your work.”

With these words, the four Flag Masters also felt quite emotional, knowing many of them had served longer than most elders. Many were personal guards under Han Shantong in the past.

Originally, they followed Han Shantong’s side, and at that time, Fang Guozhen, Peng Yingyu, and Liu Futong were Han Shantong’s closest brothers. Therefore, they had known each other for many years. As Fang Guozhen expressed his sentiments, the others couldn’t help but join in.

Once their reflections subsided, Fang Guozhen said, ”This battle is fraught with danger; brothers, you must not take it lightly. Brother Tang Yang.”

Flood Banner Master Tang Yang immediately clasped his fists and said, ”Subordinate present?”

”Is the poison water you prepared ready?”

Tang Yang responded: ”Rest assured, Flood Flag takes pride in our use of poison, it’s ready.”

Fang Guozhen said: ”Hmm, that’s good. Distribute it to the brothers guarding the city so that at the critical moment, it can be poured down the city wall to give Hundred Fragrance Monarch’s scoundrels a bath.”

Tang Yang chuckled at this: ”Haha, I had that in mind already.”

Fang Guozhen smiled and then turned to the Fire Banner Master Xing Ran: ”Brother Xing Ran, have you finished digging the fire ditches I ordered?”

Xing Ran replied: ”Hahaha, three thousand dug together, in two hours we were done, nine lines of fire ditches, as soon as they’re lit, it’ll surely throw the Treasure Elephant Army’s formation into chaos, leaving them unable to advance or retreat.”

Hearing Xing Ran’s words, Fang Guozhen smiled: ”Very well, thanks to the brothers of the Fiery Fire Flag.”

After saying this, Fang Guozhen turned to the Giant Wood Banner Master Wen Cangsong and the Sharp Gold Banner Master Wu Jingcao. Their flags were a pair, one team muscular, clad in iron armor with impressive defensive power, the other rapid bow and powerful crossbow, hundred-step piercing, their collaboration perfect; in terms of modern gaming, like an archer and a tanky support.

Also, the strongest skill of the Giant Wood Banner is still the Barbaric Charge, a control skill; one giant wood can directly knock a crowd of enemies into the air, causing hard control.

And the sharp shooter from the Sharp Gold Banner can then freely take lives at will.

This is the Wood-Gold combination, the main force of this battle.

At this moment, seeing Fang Guozhen looking towards them, they nodded in understanding and directly said to Fang Guozhen: ”No need for words, Lord Dharma King. Our Giant Wood and Sharp Gold banners have made complete preparations; absolutely foolproof.”

Fang Guozhen said: ”Hmm, I trust your work, but the battlefield is full of dangers, so take extreme caution. Our Holy Sect is down to these old brothers, losing one means one less.”

Wu Jingcao heard this and said: ”What you say is true, Dragon King, but as they say, the sky will rain, and a mother will marry off her daughter. On the battlefield, how can there be no deaths? We are all willing to die for the Holy Sect; please, Lord Dharma King, do not worry about us.”

Wu Jingcao spoke this to Fang Guozhen, who then patted the shoulders of the two: ”Hmm, but still, if death can be avoided, it should be, and fewer deaths the better.”

”Yes, understood.”

Fang Guozhen said: ”Hmm, you may go on with your tasks.”

As the four Flag Masters departed, Chou Niu and Chen Long, two elders, approached and said: ”Dragon King, my lord.”

Fang Guozhen looked at them and asked: ”How goes it?”

The numbers have been tallied; there are a total of over twenty-seven thousand soldiers and horses, with approximately a hundred generals from the Wolf Smoke Realm to the Dragon Realm.

Upon hearing this, Fang Guozhen nodded: ”Nearly thirty thousand, that’s sufficient. Chen Long, Chou Niu, each of you lead twelve thousand troops to ambush on both sides of the mountain, forming the Qiankun Qi Formation. The remaining four thousand troops will stay by my side for deployment. Once you see the fire at the city gate, you will attack from both sides; let’s give Boluo Timur a little shock today!”

After listening to Fang Guozhen, Chen Long and Chou Niu immediately clasped their fists and said: ”Yes, we will follow the Dragon King’s orders.”

They then left promptly. Watching them go, Fang Guozhen looked up into the distance, his eyes filled with boundless battle intent.

Fourth on the Heavenly List, Boluo Timur, come to fight!

Fang Guozhen was a belligerent individual, always enjoying combat, yet compared to a figure like Boluo Timur, there was still some gap. But he was not willing to concede. This time was a great opportunity to bridge this gap using the Five Elements Flags, elite soldiers, and pre-established formations.
