Strongest Mage with the Lust system

Chapter 957: Woman In White

The human soul was Max who had just regained consciousness. However, because he didn’t have a physical body and his soul wasn’t strong enough to allow Soul Vision, he couldn’t see anything around him, and thus remained blissfully unaware of the danger he was in.

In the distance, the Red-Scaled Rhino Race’s members had also noticed Max’s soul like many other groups.

The only difference was, while other groups felt tempted to capture Max, the Red-Scaled Rhinos were wishing they weren’t here because their ancestral precepts mandated they help Humans if they were in trouble.

But could they help this weak soul now?

The answer was a big fat NO because they were among the weakest groups present and except for them, everyone else wanted to kill or capture Max’s soul.

Moreover, many from their group didn’t want to help him either. Their race’s dire situation was the result of their ancestors trying to help humans after all.

The Red-Scaled Rhino Elder saw this and despite feeling the instinctive compulsion to act, he didn’t move.

Just when the spike limb of the Keatonian was about to capture Max’s soul and other groups were feeling disappointed that they wouldn’t be able to reach him in time as the Keatonians were closest to him…

BANG!

A slender figure suddenly appeared before him and slapped the spiked limb, causing it to splinter and explode.

“Kreee~!”

The Keatonian shrieked in pain while rapidly retreating to her group.

Only after stopping did it notice the area had fallen into a strange silence.

Rage and humiliation burned in her heart because she felt everyone was enjoying her tragic defeat.

Just when she was about to rush over and attack whoever dared to sneak attack, she found herself immobilized. She didn’t feel afraid because it was her Elder who had done it.

Glancing at him, she saw him staring in the human soul’s direction with a solemn expression in his eyes.

Sensing something wrong, she followed his gaze and saw a human woman in white floating in front of the human soul with a pitch black, three-feet long sword in her hand.

She had gentle features and looked ethereal. Just a look at her invoked a sense of peace within her. However, when she looked at the sword in her hand, her heart thrummed in terror.

‘A holy armament?’ she inwardly cried in disbelief, ‘How could the human race have a holy armament?’

On the universal scale, save for the Ancestral Armaments that could destroy multiple galaxies when activated, the Holy Armaments were the strongest weapons and only the top races had one.

In fact, any race that had a Holy Armament would become a powerful race, able to rank in top thousands.

How could a race, ranking at the bottom of Million-Races rankings, have a Holy Armament? And since it had one, why was it not ranked in the top thousands?

Suddenly, she paused.

‘…It’s because of Infernal Devils.’ she realized and it filled her with a newfound awe for the infernal devils.

Just how strong a power had to be to make a race, capable of entering top thousands, bottom feeder and so scared that it wouldn’t dare to reveal its whereabouts? She could only imagine because her Keatonian race wasn’t even ranked in the top thousands.

As these thoughts raced in her mind, the human woman swept her gaze across everyone and softly said, “Anyone who isn’t afraid of death can come forward. I promise to send you to the afterlife.”

No one responded.

While each person leading their groups was powerful enough to make an entire Star System Tremble, she held a Holy Artifact. Not to mention them, even those way stronger than them wouldn’t want to clash with her.

“No one?” she asked, a small smile appearing on her lips. Then she glanced at a group, eyed their leader and gently asked, “Have you informed the Infernal Palace?”

This group was from Poison Winged Ant Race. The Infernal Palace dominated the region they lived in, so they were naturally subservient to them. For this reason, if anyone were to inform Infernal Palace about her appearance, it would be this group.

The Elder of Poison Winged Ant Race stiffened and stuttered, “I-I…”

“It’s alright. I know you had to do it or those nasty creatures would have blamed you.” The woman smiled and gave an understanding nod.

The Ant Elder became terrified. Without wasting a single moment, it turned around to flee.

The expression of its juniors darkened, though one could see them because they had dark bodies.

Shing~!

Right then, the woman raised her sword and lightly slashed down. Immediately, the Ant Elder, who had already fled half a million miles, was cut into two, body and soul. Then both parts silently disintegrated.

At the same time, the others from the Poison Winged Ant Race also died and disintegrated into nothingness.

This scene gave everyone else chills.

Right then, they noticed the human woman looking in another group’s direction and had a premonition.

As expected, the woman slashed towards their group too and everyone was killed.

She then turned around and gazed at Max’s soul, “I would have liked to kill everyone here, so they wouldn’t be able to cause you any trouble in the Chaos Dream Realm, unfortunately, those nasty creatures are about to come. So I have no choice but to stop here. Do me a favor kiddo, kill every Infernal Devil, their kin and anyone associated with them you find in there.”

Saying this, she flicked her fingers and a beam of light entered Max’s soul, “This will be your reward for killing them. Now go, I wish you good luck.”

She slashed at the realm barrier. A large gap was cut open.

She grabbed Max’s soul and threw it into the gap. As it disappeared, the barrier rumbled and the gap instantly closed. At the same time, an energy fluctuation was emitted that zoomed toward the woman.

“How troublesome!” the woman let out a soft groan. She didn’t move because evading it was impossible. Taking a breath, she slashed three times and neutralized the energy fluctuation.

Just as she finished, the void rippled nearby and eighteen figures, all cloaked in dark fire, appeared.

…

You all are smart and know what’s gonna happen. I hope you’ll enjoy it. Again, Max as Gu Chen isn’t blood related to them as his bloodline has been replaced by the Lust Overlord bloodline.
