Just a Useful Pawn in the Stain Sect

Chapter 928: Chapter 923: The Star Palace Has Come to Condemn!

This idea was undoubtedly bold, but Lü Yang already had a plan of action. For this purpose, the existence of the Primordial Celestial Demon was necessary to him.

”Keep guard here.” Lü Yang looked at the Thunder-Controlling, Axe-Wielding Demon-Suppressing Divine General and said in a deep voice, ”Draw down thunder every day to bombard the seal. At the same time, ensure that no one can forcibly break it.”

”I receive the Decree.”

The Divine General bowed again, then stood up. His figure of light and shadow collapsed, transforming back into a Talisman that landed squarely at the very top of the mountain wall.

In an instant, a streak of lightning was drawn down from the firmament, channeled into the mountain, and struck the Primordial Celestial Demon, causing him to let out a muffled groan.

”Endure it for a bit, Daoist.” Seeing this, Lü Yang smiled.

The thunder this time was different from before. This time, he was utilizing Creation from the imagery of the Fruit of Divine-Empyrean Thunder. As the name implied, although the lightning blessed by this imagery looked equally intimidating, it possessed no killing power. Instead, it had a nourishing effect. Being struck by this lightning would not cause injury; on the contrary, it offered significant benefits. It could slightly elevate Cultivation and Mana while simultaneously expelling impurities.

This way, the Primordial Celestial Demon would only slowly grow stronger. During this process, its pressure on Minor Metal would also grow increasingly immense, which would similarly help Minor Metal use the Primordial Celestial Demon’s power to temper himself.

Killing two birds with one stone!

”Alright, the two of you Daoists can stay here and focus solely on your Cultivation. When the time comes to use you, I will naturally come to notify you.”

As soon as Lü Yang finished speaking, he rode his Flying Light and vanished from the Ten Thousand Martial Realm in the blink of an eye. Meanwhile, inside the mountain seal, the Primordial Celestial Demon endured the lightning strikes while raising his head to watch Lü Yang’s departing back, silently recalling every word Lü Yang had just said.

”Then let’s give it a try!” he thought. ”Tribulation... if I don’t drag a Master of Dao down from his high horse, how can I live up to this name? Bhagavat... you were the one who made me prove this Great Dao, so don’t blame me!”

In the Celestial Court of the Profound Spirit Realm.

Lü Yang returned silently, sighing with emotion in his heart, ”What a pity. With the Primordial Celestial Demon’s obsession, I probably won’t be able to take it into the Righteous Banner to be my brother.”

This was because the Primordial Celestial Demon’s obsession was refusing to be a puppet. Unable to control his own life and death, always at risk of being reduced to a discarded pawn—he could never accept such a thing. On this point, he was exactly the same as Master Chong Guang.

”Forget it, it’s not a big problem,” Lü Yang reasoned with himself. ”Given the Bhagavat’s personality, as long as the Tribulation is born early, this Primordial Celestial Demon will likely receive Enlightenment from the Bhagavat in every lifetime just to swoop in and steal the fruits of labor. At worst, every time I’m reborn in the future, I’ll just come to influence it and Master Chong Guang once. It’s nothing more than a repetitive operation and won’t take much effort. At the very least, based on their value, they’re worth me doing this. Whether I can reach the absolute pinnacle in the Dao of the Heart Demon all depends on the two of them.

”Not to mention, they are indispensable for my Plan for the Collapse of the Other Shore. But for now, I’m still too far away. My strength is vastly insufficient, and the timing isn’t right. I must wait until Ang Xiao seeks proof from the Netherworld before putting it into motion...”

Before that, he still had one more thing to do.

The De-Chong Talisman.

This strand of Celestial Human Residual Consciousness won from World Purger Fei Xue might contain a hidden trump card left by the Beast Taming Peak Master. He had to investigate it thoroughly.

However, just as Lü Yang was deep in thought, a streak of Flying Light suddenly descended. The Profound Spirit Realm’s Supreme Venerable walked out of it with a strange expression and whispered, ”Daoist, you seem to have gotten yourself into trouble!”

”What?” Lü Yang was taken aback.

”People from the Star Palace are here!” the Supreme Venerable of the Profound Spirit Realm continued. ”From what I saw, they look extremely furious, like they want to beat you up. How about you go out and hide for a bit?”

”...” Hearing this, Lü Yang’s expression also turned a bit odd.

Yet in the very next second, a voice drifted over faintly. ”It’s not that exaggerated. Fellow Daoist Zhangjie has just been giving us surprises one after another lately.”

”HSS!” Before the voice even faded, Lü Yang drew in a sharp breath of cold air. He then looked at the figure that had appeared nearby at some unknown point in time, smiling bitterly as he cupped his hands. ”Greetings, Elder Haoyuan.”

This slumbering Great True Monarch of the Dao of Magical Power from the Star Palace had actually come to see him in person. Looking at his appearance, he had shockingly broken free from the constraints of his stone carving form!

In the next second, Hao Yuan Shangzhen stepped forward. With a complicated expression, his very first sentence was, ”Does Fellow Daoist know why I’ve come to see you so late?”

The Star Palace was indeed a bit late. After all, from the time he left the Star Palace, returned to the Profound Spirit Realm, and openly crushed the Vajra Realm Treasure-Born Tathagata to showcase his strength, a full ten years had passed until today. Even with the Star Palace’s special nature, they shouldn’t have delayed for an entire decade before coming to see him.

”This is all because of you, Daoist!” Hao Yuan Shangzhen said grumpily. ”I’m not afraid to tell you, Daoist, that thanks to the lifespan you sent earlier, several of us have already awakened.

”When news of you arrived back then, we did indeed have disagreements. I hoped for further cooperation, but some people planned to capture you. As a result, some arguments broke out. Originally, we would have reached a consensus very quickly...”

Speaking up to this point, Hao Yuan Shangzhen’s expression grew even more peculiar. ”But right at that moment, the Heart Demon was born.”

”Uh...” Lü Yang was momentarily stunned.

The Heart Demon was born? What did that have to do with the Star Palace? That group of Magical Power Dao Cultivators had been trapped in stone carvings for so many years... Oh, wait, it seemed there was a connection.

”The entire Star Palace!” Hao Yuan Shangzhen gritted his teeth, his voice low. ”Including me, all the sealed True Monarchs of Magical Power gave birth to Heart Demons without exception! It even nearly triggered a riot in the Secret Cultivation Room where we slumber. It took a massive amount of effort to barely suppress it!”

”...” Since things had already been laid out so clearly, Lü Yang could only tilt his head and look at Hao Yuan Shangzhen with wide eyes, displaying an innocent expression unique to the Stain Sect.

Hao Yuan Shangzhen, however, said faintly, ”From that moment on, almost everyone intended to make a move against you to eradicate the trouble of the Heart Demon.

”However, just as we finally unified our decision with great difficulty, the True Demon was born. We all could tell that after the True Demon’s birth, the existence of the Heart Demon could no longer be altered. Even if we killed you, Daoist, it wouldn’t help matters.

”It was even the exact opposite. Because your Thunder Skill seemed able to counter the Heart Demon, Daoist. As a result, the original decision was immediately overturned, and everyone fell into arguments once again. Back and forth several times, this was why it was delayed for so long.

”Originally, it would have been delayed for another few years.”

At this point, Hao Yuan Shangzhen’s expression became even stranger. ”That was until a few days ago, when you suddenly opened the Star Gate, Daoist, and threw something over...”

Lü Yang’s expression turned even more innocent.

Seeing this, fury instantly surged in Hao Yuan Shangzhen’s heart. ”Daoist, that is my Star Gate! It connects directly to me! Where do you think I normally stay?

”The Secret Cultivation Room!

”Daoist, you just threw that damn thing through the Star Gate right into the place where all the Star Palace’s True Monarchs of Magical Power slumbered after turning into stone carvings! Just a few years ago, we were tormented into a total mess by the Heart Demon riot. The Secret Cultivation Room, which we had painstakingly repaired, nearly exploded because of this! Now, a few of my fellow Daoists with lower Cultivation who were infected by the Bhagavat keep blurting out ’Eee’ from time to time. They are currently undergoing a lengthy purification process...”

As his voice fell, Hao Yuan Shangzhen let out another sigh.

”That’s why everyone quickly reached a decision. We can’t let you keep causing havoc like this, Daoist. It’s better to resolve this matter as early as possible. At the same time, they told me to immediately come and retrieve your Star Gate.”

”...” Lü Yang was speechless.

What did he mean by that? He actually showed an expression of treating him like a god of plague. Setting the facts aside, couldn’t they be at fault too?

However... it turned out that his previous series of actions could actually leave the Star Palace so exhausted from dealing with it? If Hao Yuan Shangzhen hadn’t mentioned it, he wouldn’t have even known!

Very well. After he restarted, if he wanted to cooperate with the Star Palace in his next life—or if he wanted to deal with them—he would replicate this exact routine!
