Just a Useful Pawn in the Stain Sect

Chapter 916: Chapter 911: Pure Land Extinction, the Celestial Demon Emerges!

Thunder Sound rang through Heaven, and Zen chanting echoed endlessly. Brilliant heavenly light rose from the east, casting its glow upon the temple built of Gold tiles and jade bricks, reflecting a radiant, colorful luster.

The West, Great Leiyin Temple.

In front of the temple gates where the heavenly light gathered, gusts of heavenly wind suddenly swept up. Immediately after, a large-bellied, accommodating Monk materialized from the wind and walked out.

This person was named Rong’e. Not only was he broad and stout, but his facial features were also extremely grotesque and ugly, causing anyone who took even a single glance at him to involuntarily feel disgust. However, this was intentional on his part. The Buddhist temple he established did not accept virtuous believers, but instead exclusively took in evildoers. This was the very foundation of his Buddhist Dharma.

At the same time, he was also an outstanding figure among the many Arhats of the Pure Land.

”Rong’e is here!”

Seeing his arrival, an Arhat wearing a compassionate smile and bearing the thirty-two marks of Perfect Appearance stepped forward quickly and said with a smile, ”We have been waiting for a long time.”

”It’s Vimalakirti.”

Arhat Rong’e responded with a smile. Both of them were Venerables in the Pure Land, having proven the three meanings of slaying afflictions, attaining non-birth, and being worthy of offerings. Their Position was equivalent to the Late Stage of Foundation Establishment.

”Amitabha.” Arhat Rong’e first chanted the Buddha’s Name, then said in a deep voice, ”I have been outside the temple for a long time and am unaware of the inside situation. May I ask why the Bodhisattvas have gathered us? Calculating the years, it shouldn’t be time to hold a Fa assembly yet, right? At the very least, we should wait until Venerable Victory Bodhisattva returns to his position...”

”Ah, there is something you don’t know, Rong’e!”

Hearing this, Venerable Weimotuo sighed and then whispered, ”Venerable Victory Bodhisattva has completely entered Nirvana and can no longer return to his position. Very few people know about this matter!”

”What!?”

Arhat Rong’e was instantly stunned, and then he only felt a chill surge into his heart. ”How is that possible? To think an Outer Heaven Cultivator actually dared to commit Killing...”

”SHH!”

Venerable Weimotuo hurriedly covered Arhat Rong’e’s mouth and pointed above his head. ”Have you forgotten? That person’s title cannot be mentioned casually!”

Only then did Arhat Rong’e recall the rumors he had heard earlier. He subconsciously raised his head and looked at the sky. On the towering celestial canopy of the Immortal Pivot, even though it was daytime, a bright star still hung high, unmasked by the light of the great sun. It was precisely that Great Realm Heaven known as the Profound Spirit Realm.

”Thank you for the reminder.”

In the next second, Arhat Rong’e let out a deep breath. ”I’ve heard of it. That entity has the ability to sense at will, and happens to be quite petty-minded...”

”Alright, alright.”

Venerable Weimotuo sighed and continued, ”In short, I think the reason the two Bodhisattvas summoned us is probably to deal with that entity.”

”Huh? Us?”

Arhat Rong’e pointed at himself blankly, and then suffered a near Defense Break.

”Are you kidding me!”

Who were they? Just a group of Foundation Establishment Cultivators! In front of a Great Power who resided high above the sun and moon, they were worse than ants. What could they do when Immortals fought?

”Of course it’s not just us,” Venerable Weimotuo said in a deep voice. ”According to the Bodhisattvas, we are all avatars of the Bhagavat. As long as there are enough of us, the Bhagavat can descend to the mortal realm to eliminate the demons!”

Only then did Arhat Rong’e suddenly understand.

He thought, ”Oh, so it’s the same old routine. I thought I was going to be sent up to engage in Combat with a Perfected Lord. It nearly scared my little heart into going THUMP THUMP.”

The two of them walked for a while.

Before long, they walked into the Great Leiyin Temple. What caught their eyes was a dense cluster of Lotus Platforms, and on each Lotus Platform sat a Golden Body in meditation.

”Let us return to our Positions.”

The two of them did not chat any further. Instead, they each went to their own Lotus Platforms and sat down. At the same time, even more Arhats were arriving one after another, riding their Flying Light.

Finally, as the Thunderous Profound Bell inside the Great Leiyin Temple ceased ringing, the enormous temple doors slammed shut and sealed tight. On the four Nine-Grade Lotus Platforms located at the very top, three figures finally appeared. They were none other than the Bao Lian Hidden Buddha, the Bhumba Bodhisattva, and the Dragon and Snake Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva.

In the next second, all the Monks chanted in unison:

”Amitabha!”

In an instant, the Buddha Light shot straight into the clouds, and the Thunder Sound echoed throughout the West. For a time, it Moved all the monks and disciples in the West, and the believers one after another bowed and kowtowed devoutly.

Amidst the Buddha Light, sweet dew fell from Heaven, and Jin Lian sprang from the Earth, presenting endless miraculous visions.

Whether it was Vimalakirti, Rong’e, or even the three Bodhisattvas on the Pure Land, all bathed in the Buddha Light and felt an unprecedented sense of peace.

At this moment, the Bodhisattvas could clearly sense the thoughts, ideas, and intentions of the Lower Position Arhats, and the Arhats could also sense the feelings of the lower Monastics. Layered upon one another like this, no one hid any trickery, and no one harbored secrets. Everyone was open and honest; everyone was completely equal.

The sacred Buddha Light connected them all!

However, in the next second, a sudden sense of incongruity emerged in the hearts of the Arhats, much like seeing an ink stain on a piece of pure, flawless white paper.

”Hmm? This is...”

At this moment, all the Monks let out soft gasps of surprise, and then looked towards the source of the ink stain. It was none other than the Dragon and Snake Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva, who sat in the top left corner with a fierce, contorted expression.

The Bodhisattva’s expression was twisted, seemingly struggling. The crimson Buddhist dot between his eyebrows suddenly turned black. Faintly, a sinister ”HEH HEH HEH” cackle echoed. This was originally confined to the Dragon and Snake Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva alone, but now it instantly permeated the entire group of Monks!

”Ah!!!”

The first scream shattered the harmony of Unity. It came from an Arhat located on the outermost edge. His Buddha Light dimmed, and he actually tumbled off his Lotus Platform.

And within his body, a new Heart Demon was born.

The Heart Demon put on his kasaya, chanted his Buddhist Dharma, grasped his Dharma Artifact, and blatantly sat down upon his Lotus Platform.

Immediately after, the Heart Demon continued to erupt.

One Arhat after another fell from their Lotus Platforms.

The Heart Demon originating from the Bodhisattva descended from a high position to the lower ones. Even if the Dragon and Snake Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva was merely an Outer Dao, it was still not something mere Foundation Establishment Arhats could resist.

Yet facing this scene, the Bao Lian Hidden Buddha and the Bhumba Bodhisattva on the other side showed absolutely no intention of stopping it. Instead, they wore compassionate smiles. This state of being also rapidly rippled outward through the connection of the Buddha Light. All the Monks calmed their emotions and similarly revealed smiles.

”Amitabha!”

Under their Unity, none of the Arhats fled. They simply allowed the Heart Demons to Swallow them. The terrifying Demonic Qi began to grow increasingly intense beneath the vast Buddha Light.

This was still not the end.

After Swallowing the Arhats, the Heart Demons immediately plunged further down through their Unity, beginning to Swallow the Qi Refining Disciples, and even the believers with no cultivation at all.

In this manner, the Buddha Light was fed to the Demonic Qi bit by bit.

Feeding the Demons with their own bodies!

In the end, only the Bao Lian Hidden Buddha and the Bhumba Bodhisattva remained clear-headed. And before them, the boundless Demonic Qi was gradually collapsing inward.

Before long, the Demonic Qi transformed into a black-robed young man standing inside the Great Leiyin Temple. He possessed a handsome appearance with waist-length hair. A curve graced the corners of his mouth, yet it was not evil; instead, it exuded a strange sense of holiness, causing anyone who took their first glance at him to inexplicably develop a strong sense of favor and trust.

”Good, Good.”

Only at this moment did the two Bodhisattvas slowly speak, chanting in unison: ”Only today do we know that the Joyful Nirvana Dao is not false, and we Ming the Bhagavat’s True Intent.

”Merit is complete; all living beings are extinguished and delivered.

”Joy and happiness, sorrow and grief; the three poisons and eight sufferings.

”All Buddhas enter Nirvana; the True Demon thus emerges.

”The Deep Bliss Pure Land exists only for the sake of extinction.”

The voices of the two Bodhisattvas echoed. They still did not resist the erosion of the Heart Demon. Before long, the original Dharma-expounding Thunder Sound was reduced to mere lingering echoes winding around the beams.

Pure Land Extinction!

Only at this moment did the black-robed young man formed from the Gathering Demonic Qi finally speak. His voice, brimming with a bizarre charm, was not loud, yet it spread faintly:

”Destiny is forged by the heart; Buddha and Demon are fundamentally one.

”Observing precepts and practicing cultivation is attachment; Killing, stealing, lust, and delusion are all emptiness. Wine, pleasure, sleep, and desire are the roots of humanity; the Celestial Demon rests freely in the Buddha’s heart!

”Alas! From today onward, I am the Primordial Celestial Demon!”
