Just a Useful Pawn in the Stain Sect

Chapter 920: Chapter 915: The Celestial Demon Strikes!

The Profound Spirit Realm, the Celestial Court.

Lü Yang sat upright in the Quiet Chamber. With a stir of his spiritual perception, he split off a small portion of it to carry his mana, which descended into another grand hall of the Celestial Court and manifested as a phantom clone.

”Fellow Daoist Zhangjie?”

The Supreme Venerable of the Profound Spirit Realm immediately woke up with a start from his meditation and looked over in confusion.

Seeing this, Lü Yang could only sigh inwardly, ”Outer Dao is just Outer Dao. Their connection to Heaven and Earth is too weak. To think he didn’t even notice such a massive event in the Pure Land.”

With this in mind, he did not delay. He directly explained the entire sequence of events regarding the birth of the Primordial Celestial Demon and the destruction of the Dao Court. After hearing this, the Supreme Venerable of the Profound Spirit Realm’s expression changed several times. He remained silent for a long time before finally exhaling a deep breath of muddy Qi. ”Since that is the case, Daoist, we might as well flee.”

Lü Yang was taken aback. ”Flee how?”

”To be honest, I have been planning this for a while,” the Supreme Venerable of the Profound Spirit Realm confessed. ”A Little Realm Heaven has already been nurtured within the Profound Spirit Realm to bear the Fruit, which is enough to take away all living beings.

”As for the remaining wreckage, I plan to detonate it at the critical moment.

”Even if it can’t harm those Demons of the Immortal Pivot, it can at least stall for some time. As long as I can escape into the Void Sea of Light, I can hide in the Star Palace!”

Hearing this, Lü Yang immediately raised an eyebrow.

He had to admit that the Supreme Venerable of the Profound Spirit Realm’s scheme made him look at the man in a new light. Not only did it allow for escape, but it also diverted the danger elsewhere, and the success rate was quite high!

”It seems the Outer Dao isn’t completely without its merits.”

Lü Yang nodded slightly. After pondering for a moment, he simply laid his cards on the table. ”To be honest, I have a way to slay this Primordial Celestial Demon.

”After all, as you know, Daoist, the Heart Demon was born because of me.

”The Thunder Skill in my hands perfectly counters it, and it also sees me as a thorn in its side, wishing for nothing more than to eliminate me quickly. Therefore, I plan to set an ambush right here in the Profound Spirit Realm.

”If it dares to come, I will end it.”

The Supreme Venerable of the Profound Spirit Realm frowned slightly at those words. He remained silent for a long time before asking in a low voice, ”Are you certain of this, Daoist? And is there anything you need my help with?”

He was no fool. If Lü Yang could solve the problem on his own, he wouldn’t have come looking for him. Seeking him out now meant there was definitely a favor to ask. Thus, he asked directly. Lü Yang had no intention of hiding anything and stated bluntly, ”As an Outer Dao, Daoist, you are considered a great tonic in the eyes of the Heart Demon.

”I want you to act as bait, Daoist, to lure the Primordial Celestial Demon into the trap.”

”Ah?” The Supreme Venerable of the Profound Spirit Realm was taken aback. He pointed at himself. ”Me? Against a Heart Demon capable of slaying those in the Middle Stage of Golden Core?”

”It has to be you, Daoist!” Lü Yang said solemnly.

This time, the Supreme Venerable of the Profound Spirit Realm remained silent for even longer. However, he finally let out a faint sigh. ”Fine, fine. I will help you.

”Consider it repaying you for saving my life last time.”

”Rest assured, Daoist. Although I am asking you to be the bait, I have my ways to keep you safe.” After saying this, Lü Yang took out a Talisman from his robes.

The [Thunder Control, Halberd Waving, Demon-Suppressing Divine General Talisman]!

It had taken two and a half years, and under the guidance of Progenitor Tingyou, countless materials were consumed to refine this Dao Fruit Secret Technique Talisman, which was also a Talisman of the Thunder Skill!

To be blunt, if this single Talisman was used well, it could slay the Primordial Celestial Demon in one strike!

However, Lü Yang did not intend to do that.

First, because the Primordial Celestial Demon was created by the Bhagavat, its life-saving methods were bound to be profound. Utterly slaying it would be extraordinarily difficult.

Second, it would be too much of a pity to kill it.

”It would be best to weaken it, suppress it, and then let Master Chong Guang swallow it... Mutual devouring among Heart Demons is the fastest way to grow!” ℴ

Of course, there were risks involved.

After all, the Primordial Celestial Demon had a close relationship with the Bhagavat. Master Chong Guang’s attempt to swallow it might very well fail, and even if he succeeded, his identity might end up being usurped by the Bhagavat.

However...

”It doesn’t matter!” Lü Yang grinned.

”The main point is that my [Merely a Teacher’s Appearance] is linked to Master Chong Guang. Regardless of success or failure, I can use this to gain the Bhagavat’s comprehension of Heart Demons!”

If Master Chong Guang succeeded, the Primordial Celestial Demon’s Cultivation would become his Cultivation. Even if he was usurped by the Bhagavat, it would be worth it.

If Master Chong Guang failed and was instead swallowed by the Primordial Celestial Demon, that would still trigger [Student as a Model], and his harvest would still be guaranteed!

At most, Master Chong Guang would just have to suffer a bit.

Soon, the Supreme Venerable of the Profound Spirit Realm took the Talisman. Following Lü Yang’s instructions, he found a Cave Mansion to enter secluded meditation. Lü Yang immediately retracted his spiritual perception.

”Everything is ready!

”That Primordial Celestial Demon swallowed Emperor Jia You and the Three Ministers of the Daoist Court. It probably won’t take long for it to digest them, and then it will definitely come looking for trouble with me. After all, one always picks the easiest target. In its eyes, there is definitely still a gap between my current self and True Monarch Gangxing, so it’s only natural for it to seek me out.”

With this in mind, Lü Yang began to wait patiently.

This wait lasted for two and a half years.

In the Immortal Pivot, Overseas, within a dormant volcano located at the deepest part of the ocean floor, the Primordial Celestial Demon opened its eyes, a hint of helplessness showing in its gaze.

”What a cunning Old Dragon Monarch.

”In two years, I scattered one hundred and twenty-nine thousand six hundred Heart Demons to possess fish and shrimp and search everywhere, yet I still couldn’t find where you’re hiding!”

In the Primordial Celestial Demon’s view, the Old Dragon Monarch was the most suitable target to devour. Although the Old Dragon Monarch’s Cultivation was only at the Middle Stage of Golden Core, his background was terrifyingly profound. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been the sole survivor of the Dragon Race back then. If it could devour him, its accumulation might be enough.

Unfortunately, the Old Dragon Monarch was too good at hiding.

”Never mind. I already have a ninety percent chance of winning this time anyway.”

The Primordial Celestial Demon formed a Daoist Hand Seal and pointed a finger. Drawn by its mana, four streams of Profound Light immediately rose from the deepest part of the underwater volcano.

”Four Demon Artifacts, successfully completed!”

The Primordial Celestial Demon smiled. The Position of a Demon Artifact was no different from a True Treasure; both were life-bound treasures crucial to one’s Cultivation, capable of greatly enhancing its Combat prowess.

Much like a Heart Demon, the Demon Artifacts themselves did not use any materials from the Current World. They were constructed entirely from a True Monarch’s Soul, so their primary target of attack was also a soul’s Spiritual Space. Similarly, they could turn formless and act in tandem with the Heart Demon. The protective Mythical Light of ordinary True Treasures simply could not stop the erosion of a Demon Artifact.

Of course, these were secondary considerations.

More importantly, it held the [Time Shifting Device]. Even if it couldn’t win in a head-on clash, it could enter the karmic links of the opponent’s past and strike secretly.

”A person can’t possibly be strong forever.

”Every Cultivator grows step by step, transitioning from weak to strong. As long as I enter the karmic links where the target is still weak, I can easily deal with them!”

Thinking of this, the Primordial Celestial Demon grew increasingly confident.

After all, it was impossible for someone to be born a Perfected Lord.

WHOOSH WHOOSH!

The sinister wind billowed. With a leap, the Primordial Celestial Demon quickly exited the volcano, arrived at the ocean surface, and gazed up at the star in the sky that rivaled the sun and moon.

Within that star, it seemed to see a blinding cluster of lightning stretching from heaven to earth, brilliantly radiant. Even without getting close, just looking at it made its skin prickle with pain. This sensation made it narrow its eyes involuntarily. ”The creator of Heart Demons, and also the natural enemy of Heart Demons.

”Hmph, after today, that will no longer be the case!”

In the next second, the Primordial Celestial Demon let out a sinister laugh, then rode the sinister wind straight into the clouds, simultaneously grasping and activating the [Time Shifting Device] in its hand!
