Just a Useful Pawn in the Stain Sect

Chapter 927: Chapter 922: Plan for the Collapse of the Other Shore

The Ten Thousand Martial Realm, Demon Suppression Mountain Range.

A streak of Profound Light streaked across the sky, having anchored directly to the coordinates of the Void Sea of Light. It eventually transformed into a black-robed figure and landed at the edge of the mountain range.

Upon seeing a tall figure standing on one of the cliffs with his hands clasped behind his back, head slightly raised as if gazing at the firmament—his eyes seemingly able to pierce through the Sea of Suffering to directly reach the Other Shore—Minor Metal immediately straightened his robes. With a solemn expression, he walked up, cupped his hands, and bowed.

”Greetings, Immortal Monarch.”

”Dispense with the formalities.”

Having stood on this dilapidated cliff for over an hour just to act cool in front of Master Chong Guang, Lü Yang waved his hand, his tone calm and detached. ”Suppressed beneath this mountain is that Primordial Celestial Demon.”

Hearing this, Minor Metal’s expression shifted slightly.

Although he had been in secluded cultivation to digest the gains from swallowing the Primordial Origin Great Saint ever since causing a ruckus Overseas, he was not entirely ignorant of the outside world. At the very least, he was quite wary of this Primordial Celestial Demon who had nearly annihilated the Dao Court. He hadn’t expected him to be directly suppressed by Lü Yang. From the looks of it, it was obviously the main body that had been subdued, which was truly impressive.

At this thought, Minor Metal’s expression grew even more solemn. ”May I ask the Immortal Monarch, for what matter have you summoned me?”

Lü Yang pointed at the mountain range beneath his feet. ”The Primordial Celestial Demon is different from you, Daoist. He is not a Human Cultivator who became a Demon, but a Demon cultivating the human heart. He is the complete opposite extreme from you. So, it all depends on you, Daoist. If you wish to swallow him, you may enter the mountain now. This Demon has already been severely injured by me and is on the same level as you.”

Minor Metal frowned upon hearing this. However, after careful consideration, he shook his head. ”To answer the Immortal Monarch, I do not intend to swallow other Heart Demons. It would yield no benefit to myself.”

”Oh?” Lü Yang asked curiously. ”Why?”

”A Heart Demon relies on obsession,” Minor Metal explained. ”My obsession and the obsession of this Demon are clearly not on the same path. Given that, swallowing him would only lead to impurity within myself. The other party’s obsession is formidable, and mine is not weak either. Even if I were to swallow him, on the surface my Heart Demon body might seem stronger, but the obsession used to control it would be weakened due to the merging and conflicting of two individuals. That would be meaningless, and in the end, I would only suffer a backlash from the Heart Demon body.”

Minor Metal saw things very clearly. He had transformed into a Heart Demon body to pursue the Dao and to continuously climb to higher peaks. How could he possibly allow other obsessions to influence him?

”However... using him as a whetstone is feasible.” Speaking up to here, Minor Metal cupped his hands. ”If the Immortal Monarch permits, I am willing to guard this mountain. Perhaps I can borrow the power of this external Demon to temper my own obsession.”

”Are you sure?” Lü Yang smiled. ”If you swallow this Primordial Celestial Demon, I guarantee you can advance a step further. The gains will be greater than swallowing a cultivator at the Middle Stage of Golden Core.”

”I am sure.” Minor Metal didn’t even hesitate. ”Thank you for your generous favor, Immortal Monarch, but I have my own path, and I am already walking it.”

Lü Yang nodded slightly upon hearing this.

”Master Chong Guang’s vision is far-reaching indeed...” he thought. ”But this works out perfectly too. Two Heart Demons, two different paths—both can now provide me with Cultivation!”

Immediately after, he led Minor Metal to a rock face. The wall was as smooth as a mirror. When Lü Yang arrived, Dharma Light illuminated it, immediately revealing the figure of the Primordial Celestial Demon sitting inside the mountain with his eyes closed, adjusting his breathing.

”Hm?” In the next second, the Primordial Celestial Demon opened his eyes. His gaze landed on Minor Metal, and he gave a slight nod. ”You want to swallow me? Then come and try.”

”Daoist, there’s been a change of plans.” Lü Yang waved his hand and laughed. ”The True Demon on my side has no intention of swallowing you. He only wants to use you to temper his own obsession. What do you think?”

”Temper?” The Primordial Celestial Demon was taken aback upon hearing this. He then looked at Minor Metal and smiled. ”I heard that you are a Heart Demon transformed from a human body, which is why you have such innate flaws. I, however, am different. I am an innate Heart Demon; my Heart Demon body is my obsession itself. I don’t need to worry about other obsessions affecting me. As long as they are swallowed by me, they will be used by me. Everything I do is putting my obsession into practice. This is exactly what it means to unify knowledge and action,” the Primordial Celestial Demon spoke with great assurance.

Minor Metal, however, offered a counterargument. ”You are mistaken, Daoist. If what you say is true, yet I see that a Heart Demon has also been born within you, how do you explain that?”

”That is also me,” the Primordial Celestial Demon replied. ”From within an obsession, another obsession is born. The two are deeply connected and practically one entity...”

Although he knew nothing about the Fruit of Rampart Earth, he similarly held profound insights into the Heart Demon Dao, completely distinct from Minor Metal’s Heart Demon Cultivation.

”Excellent, excellent!” Listening to the discussion and exchange between Minor Metal and the Primordial Celestial Demon, Lü Yang immediately revealed a satisfied smile, like a hardworking old farmer admiring an exceptionally thriving crop.

”The Primordial Celestial Demon has already agreed to become my pawn,” he thought. ”In this regard, Heart Demons are actually much easier to deal with than humans. The human heart is unpredictable, but because of their obsessions, predicting a Heart Demon is much simpler.”

At this thought, Lü Yang took out a Talisman from his sleeve.

”With this superior-subordinate relationship in place, as long as I grant the Primordial Celestial Demon a little favor and help him grow, the binding of Student as a Model will be complete,” he thought.

In the next second, the Talisman flew up. Lü Yang formed a Daoist Hand Seal, his Spiritual perception linking to the Beiji Exorcism Institute. He condensed a streak of colorful light at his fingertips and lightly tapped it onto the descending Talisman.

RUMBLE!

In an instant, following a deafening Thunder Sound, a dazzlingly bright golden Splendid Light erupted from the Talisman. It then traced out a form in front of Minor Metal and the Primordial Celestial Demon, transforming into a towering figure with a face like red jade, a beard like black velvet, standing ten feet tall, and dressed in gold and silver, landing at the foot of the mountain.

The Thunder-Controlling, Axe-Wielding Demon-Suppressing Divine General!

Looking over, one could see a Golden Ring shining like the sun and spraying rosy light, while silver armor spread like frost to swallow the moon’s shadow. The weather of Yin and Yang presented a Manifestation, Gathering into thunder, causing lightning to faintly flash within its eyes.

The next second, the towering figure crashed to the ground, dropping to one knee with the momentum of a toppling mountain. With its head bowed low, it spoke in a booming voice filled with absolute reverence, ”Paying respects to the Immortal Monarch!”

”This is...” Minor Metal and the Primordial Celestial Demon both revealed expressions of shock. At a glance, the newcomer’s Qi trace and Position were not the slightest bit weaker than a Perfected Lord!

On the other side, Lü Yang was equally satisfied.

”The Bhagavat opened the Vajra Realm and nurtured the Five Directions Tathagata, and I opened the Beiji Exorcism Institute. This is the first Divine General under my command!” he thought.

Its foundation was based on the Fruit Arcana, the Thunder Control and Halberd Swing Dao Fruit. Not only was its power unparalleled, but it also countered Heart Demons, and conveniently enough, it could oversee heavenly tribulations. In the future, whether someone wanted to control lightning to suppress demons or undergo a heavenly tribulation, Lü Yang could completely hand over all the related mechanisms to the Divine General to handle. He himself could simply wash his hands of it and be a hands-off boss.

At this thought, Lü Yang couldn’t help but sigh emotionally. ”Isn’t this exactly the relationship between Unity and the Vajra Realm? I am truly becoming more and more like the Bhagavat...”

No, he couldn’t put it like that.

”I just borrowed a little bit of the advanced experience of the Stain Sect’s predecessors,” he mused. ”The Bhagavat is so strong; if I don’t copy him, how can I become as strong as he is? Not to mention...”

At this thought, Lü Yang took a deep breath. The ”grand plan” he had used to persuade the Primordial Celestial Demon flashed through his mind, and a sudden surge of excitement washed over him.

His grand plan was actually very simple. Inside Emperor Ying, he had once seen the message left by the Beast Taming Peak Master: to prevent the Fall of the Other Shore, the Peak Master had managed to open the Netherworld.

”So, the question arises,” he thought. ”If I blow up the Netherworld, will the lofty land of the Other Shore where the Masters of Dao reside also collapse as a result, causing those bigshots up in Heaven to... fall down?”
