Just a Useful Pawn in the Stain Sect

Chapter 917: Chapter 912: Bhagavat Is Snatching Opportunities From Me!

The anomaly in the Pure Land spread through the circle of Perfected Lords almost instantly. After all, that shout of ”Primordial Celestial Demon” was meant precisely for them.

As for Foundation-Stage Cultivators and other lower cultivators, the most they could see were the various anomalies in the West. They speculated inwardly but could hardly grasp the truth. Furthermore, since the Primordial Celestial Demon had already corrupted every monk in the West, and even the mortal believers, there was no way for them to learn the specifics.

For a time, all the Perfected Lords felt as if they were facing a formidable enemy.

However, just as all the Perfected Lords thought the Primordial Celestial Demon would immediately go on a rampage and unleash a demonic catastrophe, they saw it suddenly give a relaxed smile and disappear.

In an instant, all the demonic qi vanished as if it had never existed. The arhats, monks, bodhisattvas, and believers who had been taken advantage of by the Heart Demon all returned to normal. The Primordial Celestial Demon was nowhere to be found.

However, this did not ease the worries of the Perfected Lords; instead, they became even more tense. Nearly ten majestic streams of spiritual perception surged out, beginning to scan the entire Immortal Pivot.

Some also tried to contact the seemingly restored Bao Lian Hidden Buddha and Bhumba Bodhisattva. Yet, all spiritual perception transmissions sank like stones in the ocean. Even though they were currently preaching scriptures to the arhats, they had no reaction to the outside world, as if they had been reduced to functioning machines. It was truly horrifying.

In the depths of the Celestial Court within the Profound Spirit Realm, Lü Yang withdrew his gaze. The brilliant golden lightning of the Fruit of Divine-Empyrean Thunder continuously converged at his fingertips, sinking into boundless radiance.

After a long while, he finally squeezed a voice through his gritted teeth, ”The Bhagavat... is actually stealing my fortuitous encounter!”

Tribulation!

Undoubtedly, the Pure Land suddenly producing this so-called Primordial Celestial Demon was entirely aimed at the Tribulation. Was the Bhagavat trying to swoop in and claim the spoils?

How shameless!

Didn’t I just stitch together your Dharma Gate, plus intentionally shift the blame and frame the Pure Land earlier? Setting the facts aside, are you completely without fault?

Of course, he didn’t dare say these words out loud; he could only think them in his heart, ”This is bad. I haven’t even improved the Heart Demon Cultivation Technique on my end, yet the Bhagavat has already brought forth something new. This Primordial Celestial Demon is clearly unaffected by the Cataclysm Launcher. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been completely in the dark beforehand.

”But the Heart Demon was ultimately born because of me.”

As Lü Yang thought more about it, his expression grew increasingly ugly.

He reasoned, ”In other words, as long as I still exist and the Cataclysm Launcher still exists, eighty percent of all the Tribulations caused by the Heart Demon will ultimately fall on me.

”How could the Bhagavat allow such a thing?

”If he truly wants to snatch this opportunity and fight for the Tribulation, then the Primordial Celestial Demon’s first target will inevitably be me. Only by killing me will he have a chance!”

Despite saying so, Lü Yang did not panic.

The reason was simple: although the Primordial Celestial Demon had already appeared in the Current World, judging from the fleeting glimpse just now, the other party did not seem to have become a Great Perfected Lord.

He reasoned, ”This is to be expected. Previously, the Vajra Realm Treasure-Born Tathagata integrated the mighty power of the Three Pure Land Bodhisattvas, yet the result was still only at the Middle Stage of Golden Core. Now that they are missing the Venerable Victory Treasure Pestle Bodhisattva, and considering the Dragon and Snake Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva is a mere Outer Dao, even adding a group of Foundation Establishment cultivators couldn’t possibly fill this gap.

”In other words, it might be even weaker now than the Vajra Realm Treasure-Born Tathagata.

”There are limits to the Bhagavat descending to the mortal realm, especially concerning the Tribulation. If he wants to use the Heart Demon to reap the rewards, he must follow the rules of the Heart Demon.

”Therefore, it needs time.”

Lü Yang quickly calculated the Primordial Celestial Demon’s next plan. ”It must have also inherited the Heart Demon’s trait of growing by swallowing cultivators.

”So, its next step will inevitably be to eat people!

”Who will it eat?

”A Great Perfected Lord? No. Although the Heart Demon could break through to the Great Perfected Lord realm by eating one, even True Monarch Gangxing wouldn’t be so easy to consume.

”Its appetite isn’t big enough yet.

”So, it will definitely start with some appetizers. As long as it eats a sufficiently strong Middle Stage of Golden Core cultivator, it might just gain the courage to make a move against me.”

Lü Yang quickly reached a conclusion.

Although he was indeed slightly lacking in Enlightenment, when it came to scheming and plotting against others, his talent skill was absolutely maxed out.

He pondered, ”There actually aren’t many Middle Stage of Golden Core cultivators in the current world. It goes without saying for the Old Dragon Monarch; who knows where he’s hiding now. Even a Celestial Secret Calculation can’t find him. As for the rest, whether it’s the two Demon Race Great Saints or the True Monarch of Contained Light and Floating Heaven, they have all hidden inside the Stain Sect by now. With Fei Xue overseeing things, nothing will go wrong.”

Thinking of this, Lü Yang suddenly felt somewhat lucky.

He rejoiced, ”Thank goodness I had Master Chong Guang take action earlier to force those two Demon Race Great Saints to join the Stain Sect. Otherwise, they would have been a meal on a silver platter for the Primordial Celestial Demon!”

The two Demon Race Great Saints were both in the mid-phase.

If the Primordial Celestial Demon ate them, its strength would inevitably skyrocket by a large margin. Although it wouldn’t necessarily break through to become a Great Perfected Lord, it would certainly be hard-pressed to find a rival among those at the Middle Stage of Golden Core.

He thought, ”But it probably wouldn’t be my match.

”After all, I have now even mastered the Fruit Arcana. I am severely overpowered for the Middle Stage of Golden Core. As long as the Primordial Celestial Demon doesn’t become a Great Perfected Lord, it will be very hard for it to compete with me.

”And it... doesn’t know this yet.”

Suddenly, Lü Yang’s eyes lit up as he realized the crux of the matter. ”This is an opportunity! A chance to nip the Primordial Celestial Demon in the bud ahead of time!”

Although the Primordial Celestial Demon was not his match, given the Heart Demon’s cunning and life-preserving abilities, it would also be very difficult for him to threaten its life. Furthermore, once he went all out and made the other party vigilant, it probably wouldn’t appear before him again until it broke through to become a Great Perfected Lord.

He devised a plan. ”I must first feign weakness.

”I will deliberately reveal only a portion of my strength to make the Heart Demon misjudge me. Then, by launching a sneak attack when it drops its guard, I might be able to settle this once and for all!”

Lü Yang quickly sorted out his thoughts.

The Tribulation was his main goal in this life, and he absolutely would not allow anyone to steal the fruits of his labor. So what if it was the Primordial Celestial Demon? It wasn’t as if the Bhagavat’s true body had descended.

If the Bhagavat truly went to that extent, then he would just accept it and concede this life.

But as long as it didn’t come to that, he had to fight for it!

As for the Primordial Celestial Demon’s target, he had also deduced it: ”Emperor Jia You!”

Because of him, the ”granary” that was the Overseas region had been moved into the Stain Sect, and the Sword Pavilion had no mid-phase cultivators. Therefore, the Primordial Celestial Demon’s target could only be the Dao Court.

The question was: how would it strike?

Residing high up in the Celestial Court and looking down at the Immortal Pivot, Lü Yang’s gaze fell straight toward the East as he pondered, ”The Golden Core cultivators of the Dao Court are famously weak...

”But that only applies to the Three Ministers.

”At least for Emperor Jia You, he is a genuine Middle Stage of Golden Core cultivator. Moreover, his cultivation is actually quite high, and he has the blessing of the Immortal Dao Law.

”Besides, he almost never leaves his home.

”Residing in the East within the Imperial City, even a Great Perfected Lord might not be able to kill Emperor Jia You quickly. What methods will the Primordial Celestial Demon use to deal with him?”

Just as Lü Yang was pondering this, deep within his Spiritual Space, the True Treasure Yellow Court he had refined in the past abruptly began to tremble. The world before his eyes turned blurry at this moment.

”Hmm?!” Lü Yang’s pupils instantly contracted.

In the current world, there was only one thing that could elicit a reaction from the Yellow Court: the Emperor Fruit, cherished by the Pure Land and never before revealed to the world. The Fruit of Rampart Earth!

”Holy crap!” Lü Yang cursed out loud.

He cursed inwardly, ”The Fruit of Rampart Earth clearly doesn’t have a corresponding Perfected Lord, yet its profound mysteries are still being used so casually. This is absolutely the Bhagavat interfering. He has completely abandoned all shame!”

Lü Yang immediately stood up from his seat.

The Primordial Celestial Demon did not conceal itself in the slightest, yet not a single Perfected Lord in the world noticed. This was only because this anomaly did not exist in the Current World.

Only he, relying on the special perspective brought by the Yellow Court, could clearly see everything happening at this moment. The once mysterious and unfathomable Great Net of Karma Links descended, draping a corresponding ”cause” over every ”effect” of all creation in Heaven and Earth. The accumulated history was now unmistakably revealed.

”It’s coming!” he realized.

The fundamental profound mystery of the Earth Element Supreme Fruit Position, the Fruit of Rampart Earth—Zhi Gu Jin!
