A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 45: Chapter 45: Additional Investment

When Mu Yan went upstairs, Jiang Jingheng immediately returned to his room and called Song Cheng’an.

”Jing Heng, what’s up? I’m busy right now.”

”Busy working on a woman?”

”Be serious. I’m actually helping your wife discuss a collaboration.”

Jiang Jingheng walked to the balcony and coldly questioned, ”Why didn’t you tell me about Mu Yan joining the film crew the day after tomorrow?”

”Didn’t she tell you? That’s strange, then how did you find out?” Song Cheng’an was a bit confused.

Jiang Jingheng’s face darkened slightly, ”Next time, I want to hear it from her.”

”Oh wow, you couldn’t be reluctant to let your wife travel far, could you?” Song Cheng’an teased.

”Why not?”

”It’s just unexpected to see Third Young Master Jiang having his day of sentimental attachment.”

Jiang Jingheng sneered, ”How could someone without a wife understand the pain of separation that we couples endure.”

Song Cheng’an, ”...”

Such a personal attack is uncalled for.

”Send the crew information to my email.” Jiang Jingheng said before hanging up the phone.

He returned to the room and tossed the phone onto the bed, turning around to see the man in the mirror.

He was wearing a bathrobe, his handsome face as dark as ink, and his hair hung down damply.

She would definitely care about him, she’s always been a kind-hearted person.

He raised his hand to touch his hair and turned to the bathroom, soon the whirring sound of a hairdryer could be heard from inside.

Since Mu Yan was going to join the crew tomorrow, she got up early to memorize the script.

Princess Qingcheng’s lines weren’t many, but each one was very succinct.

The key is how to perform so that she can shock the audience — that’s the most important.

Yu Ma came back in the morning and prepared a sumptuous breakfast as usual.

The two of them had breakfast together, but Mu Yan’s mind was all on the script.

Jiang Jingheng noticed Mu Yan eating breakfast while reading the script, and slightly frowned, ”If you feel the time’s too tight, you can join the crew a couple of days later. Don’t push yourself too much.”

He also wanted to say that eating while reading scripts is bad for the eyes.

Mu Yan looked up at him, smiled, and said, ”Do you think the film crew is run by my family? If I join late, it will surely delay the progress, and if the director gets unhappy and fires me, that would be a loss.”

She lowered her head to sip some congee and continued to read the script.

Jiang Jingheng watched her serious demeanor, his face darkened slightly, but in the end, he said nothing.

After breakfast, Jiang Jingheng went off to the company for work, as there would be more things to do on a big Monday.

Mu Yan went upstairs with the script, continuing her study.

Sitting in the car, Jiang Jingheng glanced in the direction of the second floor and suddenly asked, ”Do I have investments in the films ’Red Dress in Chaotic Times’ and ’Dragon Soaring’?”

Lian Jun immediately took out his phone, searched a bit, and replied, ”The investment for ’Dragon Soaring’ was decided two years ago. Back then, you hadn’t planned to invest in the entertainment industry. As for ’Red Dress in Chaotic Times,’ such dramas are now flooding the market, there’s no need to invest.”

”Make an additional investment immediately.” Jiang Jingheng said.

Lian Jun was taken aback and tentatively said, ”A director like Chen Zhou probably isn’t lacking investors.”

”No one thinks they have too much money, keep adding until he’s satisfied.” Jiang Jingheng lowered his eyelids, his expression cool.

Lian Jun, ”...”

What whim is he on this early morning?

He hesitated for a moment and said, ”Young Master, there’s really no need for ’Red Dress in Chaotic Times,’ it might not be profitable?”

”I have plenty of money.”

Lian Jun, ”...”

Is buying unprofitable businesses interesting?!

Having lots of money is impressive, huh! Damn capitalists!
