A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 32: Chapter 32: He didn’t get down on one knee to propose to you?

Song Cheng’an took the contract, glanced at the signature, and raised an eyebrow, ”The handwriting is quite pretty.”

He handed a contract to Mu Yan, ”The contract is in duplicate, you keep this one.”

”Thank you.”

Mu Yan accepted the contract, hesitated for a moment, and asked, ”I’ve heard that you don’t mentor newcomers anymore, will taking me on be a burden for you?”

In fact, while Mu Yan was scrutinizing Song Cheng’an, Song Cheng’an was also scrutinizing her.

This girl is not very old, looks sweet and pure, but not immature.

Moreover, her face is very recognizable, in other words, a standard female lead’s face.

With just a little grooming, it wouldn’t be hard for her to become popular at all.

”Young Madam Jiang, you’re joking, you gave me the opportunity for employment, allowing me not to be pressured by life’s burdens,” Song Cheng’an said with a smile.

Mu Yan understood what he meant, it was because of Jiang Jingheng’s influence.

She said, ”Mr. Song, you’re so humorous, just call me Mu Yan.”

”I’m older than you, just call me Brother Song,” Song Cheng’an said as he checked the time, ”I have two more questions for you.”

”Please go ahead.”

”You acted as Zhou Lifen’s stand-in for six months? Are you on good terms with her?”

Mu Yan’s expression changed slightly, ”Will this affect my debut?”

”Of course it will, if one day you become famous, this will definitely be dug up. Do you want to be labeled as ’Little Zhou Lifen’?” Song Cheng’an chuckled lightly.

”Of course, I don’t,” Mu Yan shook her head.

”It seems you aren’t on good terms,” Song Cheng’an said calmly.

Mu Yan frankly replied, ”That’s right.”

Song Cheng’an raised an eyebrow, ”Then I’ll tell you some good news, Zhou Lifen will be exposed in the next few days.”

Mu Yan looked at him in surprise, ”What happened?”

Song Cheng’an smiled, ”It’s just a small matter, so don’t expect her to disappear from the entertainment industry.”

Mu Yan, ”...”

She hadn’t thought about that.

Song Cheng’an continued, ”I’ll help you get gigs soon. But as a newcomer, it might be tough at first. Of course, if Jiang Jingheng is willing to invest in a few films with you as the lead, I don’t mind. But I think starting too high isn’t good, especially for newcomers, it’s easy to attract criticism.”

”I’m not afraid of hard work!” Mu Yan said seriously, ”I’m just a newcomer, taking it one step at a time is fine.”

She didn’t have the face to ask Jiang Jingheng to invest in her as the lead, and Song Cheng’an was right, taking it step by step leads to a longer path.

”Alright,” Song Cheng’an was satisfied with what Mu Yan said.

Seems like she’s not spoiled by favoritism, which makes it easier to work with her.

After asking a few more things, Song Cheng’an suddenly said, ”One last question, a personal one, from the perspective of Jiang Jingheng’s friend.”

”Please go ahead.”

”How did Jiang Jingheng propose to you?”

”Ah?” Mu Yan was taken aback.

Song Cheng’an raised an eyebrow, ”He didn’t propose to you on one knee?”

Mu Yan, ”...”

She thought of the conversation with Jiang Jingheng that morning, where he used a recording to threaten her.

She was almost the one who had to kneel and propose to him.

Seeing Mu Yan’s awkward smile, Song Cheng’an knew Jiang Jingheng definitely didn’t propose.

He said disdainfully, ”Old Jiang doesn’t understand romance, bear with him.”

Mu Yan smiled, ”Brother Song, you’re too funny.”

She realized Jiang Jingheng hadn’t told Song Cheng’an the reason behind their marriage, so she had to handle it carefully.

Having said what needed to be said, Song Cheng’an stood up and said, ”Alright, if you have any issues, just contact me directly, call the number on the business card.”

”Okay, thank you, Brother Song.” Mu Yan stood up to see him off.

”No need to be formal, don’t see me out.” Song Cheng’an nodded slightly and turned to leave.

Mu Yan still escorted him to the door, watching his car drive away.

She looked down at the gilded business card in her hand, she couldn’t say she wasn’t excited.

It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and she will seize it and strive forward.

However, she should thank someone else, thinking of this, she took out her phone and for the first time, made a call to someone.
