A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 15: Chapter 15 What Are You!

Jiang Jingheng had one hand on Mu Yan’s waist and the other on her shoulder.

He looked at her, his light brown eyes somewhat obscure under the dim light.

His voice was cold, devoid of any warmth, ”Are you drunk?”

He appeared indifferent, and his words seemed to accuse Mu Yan of bumping into him.

Mu Yan looked at him for a few seconds, realizing it wasn’t just her imagination.

She immediately steadied herself and thanked him, ”Thank you.”

She felt quite surprised in her heart. Wasn’t he on a business trip to the United States? How could he be here?

Jiang Jingheng looked at the mix of red and white on her cheeks, frowning slightly.

There was a faint scent of alcohol on her, indicating she had been drinking. As for the pallor on her face, it was obviously due to being startled.

Mr. He, seeing Mu Yan bump into Jiang Jingheng, felt his heart leap into his throat.

He pushed Zhou Lifen away from his embrace and quickly apologized, ”Young Master Jiang, I’m really sorry to have startled you.”

Zhou Lifen stumbled when pushed, nearly falling to the ground.

However, she was not at all angry, her gaze fixed firmly on the handsome young man before her.

She knew Mr. He had an important guest today, which was why she was trying to get close.

But she didn’t expect it to be Jiang Jingheng, the heir to the Jiang Family with a fortune in the billions.

She stepped forward and apologized, ”Young Master Jiang, I’m sorry, my assistant was too reckless. I hope she didn’t harm you, and I apologize on her behalf.”

Today she wore a V-neck long dress, and when she lowered her head, the scene within her neckline was exposed.

Mu Yan glanced at Zhou Lifen, a trace of mockery appearing in her eyes.

Looks like she’s found a new target.

Indeed, Young Master Jiang of Upper City, young and handsome, and wealthy; there’s no better supporter than that.

She turned to look at Jiang Jingheng, who was quite fortunate in affairs of love.

Jiang Jingheng seemed unaware of Mu Yan’s gaze and frowned, saying, ”Apologize on her behalf? Who do you think you are?”

Zhou Lifen’s heart trembled. She looked up to see Jiang Jingheng with a face of indifference.

In those eyes, there seemed to be a glint of cold light, and his powerful aura was captivating.

She felt somewhat awkward and angry; since becoming famous, it was the first time someone didn’t take her seriously.

Yet, she could not lose her temper.

Suddenly, a male voice came from behind Jiang Jingheng, ”Brother Jiang, she’s not nothing, she’s the actress Zhou Lifen, the very popular one now.”

Zhou Lifen’s expression turned from pale to flushed, is that how one should talk?

But soon, she felt a little proud.

It seemed she had some fame in the circle of the second generation.

However, the next moment, her heart shattered again.

”Don’t know her,” Jiang Jingheng said calmly, as if he were casually talking about the weather.

Mu Yan couldn’t help glancing at Jiang Jingheng, is that for real?

He doesn’t know Zhou Lifen?

But, come to think of it, men are very single-minded when it comes to liking women, always fond of the young and beautiful.

Who cares about a woman older than themselves?

However, if he knew he would ”lose himself” to her indirectly because of Zhou Lifen, she wondered how he would feel.

Anyway, seeing Zhou Lifen eat a loss made Mu Yan quite satisfied, even making her view Jiang Jingheng more favorably.

Mr. He, seeing the atmosphere was a bit low, smiled apologetically and said, ”Young Master Jiang, don’t just stand here, let’s go inside and have a few more drinks. I really must apologize properly to you.”

Mu Yan came back to her senses; what happened next had nothing to do with her.

She turned to Jiang Jingheng and said, ”I’m sorry about earlier, I’ll take my leave now.”

Without waiting for him to speak, she turned and left directly.

Jiang Jingheng watched Mu Yan’s retreating figure, his eyes deepening, ”Did I say you could leave?”
