A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 42: Chapter 42 Cooking for Mrs. Jiang

In the photo studio, Mu Yan followed the photographer’s instructions and posed.

It was her first time being the focus like this, so it was inevitable that she felt a bit nervous, and her movements were quite awkward initially.

Fortunately, both the chief editor and the photographer were patient, and soon she grasped the knack.

Chief Editor Hao looked at Mu Yan, who was becoming more at ease under the lens, and said with satisfaction, ”I have a feeling this issue of the magazine will sell well.”

Song Cheng’an raised an eyebrow, looked at Mu Yan under the lens, and felt a slight stir in his heart.

Some people are probably born photogenic, like Li Yushen, Xiang Lanqiu.

And would she be the next Xiang Lanqiu?

Afterwards, Mu Yan changed into two more outfits, one was a white chiffon skirt, which complemented her light dimples, giving her an aura of vitality.

The other was a light gray plaid suit. With her tall stature and striking figure, her gaze changed, revealing a charismatic elegance.

After the entire shoot was over, Mu Yan was so exhausted that she felt almost drained, and she and Luo Yao sat on a chair, not wanting to move.

The door to the editor’s office opened, and Chief Editor Hao and Song Cheng’an emerged from the office.

Chief Editor Hao looked at Mu Yan’s casual demeanor and praised, ”This young lady is beautiful and photogenic, has no airs, and with President Song backing her, it’s hard not to be a hit.”

”Thanks for your kind words, Chief Editor Hao.” Song Cheng’an smiled and looked at Mu Yan, ”Mu Yan, we should be going.”

Mu Yan heard him and looked towards Song Cheng’an and Chief Editor Hao, then got up to walk over.

”Miss Mu, you’ve worked hard today,” Chief Editor Hao said with a smile.

”Not at all,” Mu Yan replied sincerely, ”Thank you for your trouble today.”

Song Cheng’an also said, ”Chief Editor Hao, let me treat you to a meal another day.”

”No, I should be the one treating you all. If it weren’t for your help, next month our ’Micro Era’ would have an issue with missing content,” Chief Editor Hao said earnestly.

”You’re too kind, Chief Editor Hao.”

After exchanging pleasantries for a while, Song Cheng’an then left with Mu Yan.

Back in the car, Song Cheng’an asked, ”How do you feel?”

”It was okay.”

”Chief Editor Hao was very pleased with your performance.” Song Cheng’an tapped his fingers on the steering wheel, ”Then he will post the photos online, which is part of their marketing strategy since you’re just a newcomer. I hope you understand that since you chose to become an artist, you have to set aside any arrogance, you need works, and you need attention, but rest assured, I won’t use you for cheap publicity.”

Mu Yan understood his meaning and nodded, ”I know, thank you.”

”This morning, I received a notice that the day after tomorrow, you need to report to the ’Red Dress in Chaotic Times’ crew. The time is a bit tight, so spend the next couple of days at home studying the script.” Song Cheng’an said.

Mu Yan nodded, ”Okay.”

After that, Mu Yan had Song Cheng’an drop her off by the roadside, and she took a taxi to the hospital.

After briefing Mu Chen on her upcoming schedule, she stayed with him for a while before leaving.

Returning to the villa at Jinxiu Court, it was almost six o’clock, but the sky hadn’t darkened yet.

As she entered, she heard the sound of cooking from the kitchen, but there was no sign of Jiang Jingheng.

Was he working overtime, or wasn’t he coming back for dinner?

She changed her shoes and entered, saying, ”Yu Ma, I’ve already eaten dinner, no need to prepare my portion.”

No one responded from the kitchen, Mu Yan was a bit puzzled, was the sound of cooking too loud, so no one heard?

She walked to the kitchen door and said, ”Yu Ma, I...”

Suddenly, she stopped mid-sentence, her eyes full of disbelief.

A tall and handsome man was wearing an apron, holding a spatula in one hand and tossing a pan with the other, looking quite proficient.

Even so, it couldn’t hide the dignified air about him.

Was this her imagination?

Suddenly, Jiang Jingheng looked over, his expression calm, ”Go wash your hands, dinner is almost ready.”

”Huh?” Mu Yan was stunned for a moment before she reacted, ”Oh.”

She instinctively turned her head and walked outside, full of confusion.

Did she really see Jiang Jingheng just now?

He actually cooked himself!
