Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse [BL]

The gates of the prison were fortified with a lot of barbed wire. the door itself was actually made up of a lot of steel doors and shutters meshed together seamlessly. A few people with their faces covered with a scarf stood by with their weapons in hand. The guns they had were all dusty and looked old as heck.

Even an old weapon can kill someone. Fan thought as he walked in. only Yue and himself were allowed in at first. The rest were made to wait outside.

Since someone in this base knew Yue, Fan Xui was very vigilant. He was ready to attack and kill anyone who even tried to hurt his husband.

Yue on the other hand was left confused. There were not a lot any people who knew him alive. Especially who sounded like a young man.

’Who might it be? Is it a friend or a foe?’ he thought, gripping Fan’s hand tightly.

Whatever happens or not, they were at great risk. But only risking their lives could help bring safety to others.

They passed through the second layer of the gate made with fortified steel. This time this layer looked very strong and seamless. It would have been very hard to find a simple person to make like this.

’Only a metal ability user can do this,’

He secretly scratched Fan’s hand to warn him to be careful.

”Yue!” a small exclaim came from ahead of him.

A guy dressed in prison garbs with his face covered walked up to him. Only his black ragged hair was revealed. Not even his eyes were shown as they were hidden behind sunglasses.

Yue frowned slightly. ”Who are you?”

The man hurriedly removed the mask off his face. ”it’s me.” a familiar-looking man smiled down at him.

This was the person Yue least expected to ever meet again.

It was Murong Shao.

His cousin from his mother’s side.

Yue was stunned for a second. it was hard to believe that this person was actually standing in front of him. the Murong Shao he remembered looked pris and proper with his hair gelled back. he had a very strict look on his face usually.

But now he looked at least five years younger.

”Yue….” Murong walked closer.

but Fan pulled him away.

Yue was still in a dazed state.

Because this person was supposed to be dead.

In his last life, the zombie tide took out S city base where the Murong family lived. this young man gave up his life to protect the survivors who were fleeing the base. He was the reason Yue was able to escape successfully back then.

Without his help, he wouldn’t have been able to survive ten years.

’but why is he here… how..’ Yue froze in shock. ’so many things are different from my last life….’ He calmed himself down.

Fan was gripping his hand tightly and glaring at the man. ”Who are you?”

”He is my cousin,” Yue answered before Murong could.

For which the young man gave a soft smile. ”yes, I’m his cousin and who might you be?” he looked curiously at Fan and at their connected hands.

”I’m his husband.”

”Husband?” Murong Shao raised his brow. ”oh… that’s nice, to know…. How have you been Yue. Did you have a difficult life? I searched for you at S city but you were gone. I thought… forget what I thought. I’m so glad you made it,” he stepped up to him with his arms outstretched.

Yue held up his hand stopping him in his way. ”There is no time for small talk. Are you going to let us in or not?”

The men in there all glanced at Murong waiting for his decision.

Murong Shao smiled gently. ”I would never deny you anything. Please. Come on. Take this as your home.”

Fan Xui thought stood unmoving. ”How can we trust you? you tried to kill my lover,”

Yue grabbed his hand. ’Why are you digging up old stuff? We need a place to stay.’ He winked at him. But Fan did not get the cue.

”I want nothing more to protect him. I assure you it was not my intent to hurt him. it was… grandfather… but now he is no more. It’s just me and grandmother. She would love to meet you Yue.” Murong cast a longing glance his way.

Yue bit his lips. his mother had a strained relationship with her parents. Now that his grandparents were here… he did not know how this was going to go. He looked up at Fan. ”What do you think?”

”let’s stay here for a bit,” Fan mumbled without breaking eye connect with Murong. ”we’ll being our people in,” he nodded and walked away with him in his arms.

Yue glanced back at Murong who cast a small smile. ”Do you think we can trust him? he is powerful, Fan. His wind bladed can easily cut through a high-rise building,”

Fan looked down at him with a smirk. ”don’t worry. I can take him down. and he is not a wind user. He is a metal user,”

”Huh?”

”His whole body reeks of iron. It’s not from blood. But in fact, it’s from the metals all around us. This whole place is a fucking cage. Those men in here don’t respect him. they fear him. Staying in here can be very dangerous but I bet he would not do anything with you here. we’ll stay here until the zombie tide passes and leave.”

Yue still couldn’t believe that Murong Shao was not a wind user. ”Are you sure he is a metal user?”

”Positive.” Fan smiled down at him. ”But are you okay with this?”

”I’m fine with it. but I don’t know about tian and mum.”

Fan nodded. ”we’ll ask them for their opinion.”

Getting to the car he noticed his father anxiously looking out the window. ”How did it go? Who was it?”

Yue got in the front seat. ”it was Murong Shao.”

He heard a small gasp.

”He is alive. Oh my god. Thank God he is well,” his mum whispered ever so softly.

Yue glanced back at her. ”Your mum is also here?”

”s-she is alive!” his mum leaned forward and hurriedly grabbed his hand. ”are you telling the truth right now?”

”my cousin said so. Mum, are you okay with this?”

”I’m definitely okay with this. It’s been so long since I’ve seen her” she looked at her husband. ”Honey... I get to see mum again,”

Yue’s father did not say anything much but he hugged his wife softly. ”Yue ask tian if she is willing to meet them.”

Yue immediately took the walkie and contacted his sister. ”Tian.”

”What is the situation Yue? If not this place we can find something else. A little far from here is a tanning factory. Maybe we can stay there.”

”The Murong family is here,”

The other line went silent.

Tian softly gritted her teeth.

”Are you comfortable with this?”

”I’m fine. let’s stay here temporarily,”
