Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse [BL]

Yue walked out of the car in a dazed state. ’he will die soon…... I didn’t even realize it.’ Now that he thought about it Prisitsky had always been on the thin side.

During the first year of the apocalypse, he had noticed Prisitsky slimming down to a bone. He should have known something was wrong. ’Why did I not notice? Shit., shit….’ He felt a sharp ache in his heart.

”hey… you okay,” Fan held his shoulders.

Feeling his warmth, Yue simply leaned forward and hugged him. ”….. Prisitsky is dying,”

”What!”

”he said he doesn’t have long to live. That tree.., it’s eating up his insides..” he thought about it for a second. ”Wait I can ask Trexa to help him. Maybe.. maybe she can heal him,” he dashed to the Qian’s car.

Trexa, blackie, and coco were in the back seat of the van, all cuddled up.

Yue gently removed his beloved little rat from the pile and kissed her small head. Her little whiskers moved lightly, and she woke up. ”Trexa… I need your help.”

Trexa stood on his palm on her him limbs and touched his frowning face, ”squeak,”

”Prisitsky .. can you save him? He is really sick. Is it possible to rewind time for him?” he whispered, sniffling.

He knew he was asking too much, for all he knew, Trexa was only able to rewind time for a few minutes. She would not be able to help.

”I don’t want him to die,”

He hugged her close to his face as he let his sorrow out.

Fan hugged him from behind. ”Do not give up hope. Qian can do something. he can find a cure for him.”

Yue wiped his tears away. ”y-yeah I forgot about him,” they went to Qian who was camped quite close to the van. They told him about the predicament except the part about priestly dying.

”Can you do something?”

Qian peered at the tree and at the car Prisitsky was in. ”look Yue I am good at scientist stuff, but what happened was more than what my science has ever taught. If I have to research it, it will take more than ten years to get a result. I don’t wish to waste my time on it when we are already in a very dire situation. I have to think about the lives of Tussauds before one.”

Yue frowned deeply. He understood Qian’s predicament too. Qian was the main researcher for the cure to the zombie virus. If he takes his time to research on Prisitsky ’s situation, it will only delay the creation of the cure.

”But can’t you try, he… he is in pain.”

Qian sighed. ”I can try. But I don’t have much time to spare. sorry if it sounded cold. But this is how my world works,”

They hit a dead end again.

Yue close was close to tears. in his previous life, he had heard that Prisitsky disappeared two years into the apocalypse. his research on mutated wheat was left behind for Qian. without that initial research, they would not have found that super crop. Their whole base would have collapsed.

’is history repeating itself? will Prisitsky disappear in this life too…?’ He thought hard and deep, but he couldn’t think of anything else.

Fan wordlessly hugged him close. ”We will think of a way I’m sure of it,”

”Hmm I hope we find a solution fast,” Sighing he laid down on the ground.

The constant sound of wood crackling and zombies screeching was really distracting. He could not calm down at all.

Yue shot up. ”I’ll have to talk to Prisitsky again.” he dashed away before Fan could stop him.

Qian watched this weird exchange with a confused look on his face. ”so why are you guys so interested in Prisitsky ’s condition? Its about his zombie devouring plant right? It’s kind of amazing. If it can be replicated, we can easily safeguard our walls. a lot of bullets and lives will be spared,” he mumbled, holding Peng Peng’s hand.

”he is dying,”

Qian froze. ”Really? Are you kidding me?”

”No, he is dying. That tree is killing him from inside out,” Fan added as he watched the flame rise up high.

Qian scooted close to him with a deep frown. ”Who said that?”

”Prisitsky,”

Qian scoffed. ”That can’t be. Has he done proper research on it? wait I’ll go talk about what parameters he had tested himself. Maybe we can find a way to save his ass,” he got up and ran to that car.

Yue was waiting outside Prisitsky ’s car with an awkward look on his face.

”What did he say? Is it true? Is he really drying?”

”he said so,” Yue nodded.

”Well, I think its shit. move I’ll talk to him,” he pushed him out of the way and slammed the door shut after him.

Yue just stood there watching the tinted glass. A small tear rolled down his cheek. ”do you think we can escape death Trexa.” He whispered gently caressing her soft fur. ”I’ve done it once…. it must be possible for Prisitsky too right?”

”Squeak,” his little Trexa held up a small lotus seed to him.

”I’m not in the mood to eat,” he gently kissed her head and dazedly walked around.

The nearby ability zombies were creating trouble for them but a few soldiers were on guard taking them out as they came close to the pits they had dug out.

Amongst them, he noticed a familiar figure.

He walked up to him.

Hary was busy shooting down the zombies to notice his arrival.

”Hary,” he held his shoulders.

He did not bother to look back. His shoulders stiffened up.

”if you want to talk.. I’m here for you. please don’t shut yourself out,” he patted his back softly.

Hary paused. He dropped the gun and cupped his face tight. his metal-covered shoulders trembled slightly. ”what do I do to make him like me….. it hurts Yue. It hurts so much. I love him so much.”

The strong man he knew crumbled down to the ground, sobbing like a little child.

Yeu hugged him softly. ”he.. he likes you,”

Hary shook his head ”no, no he doesn’t. if he did, he wouldn’t have tried to kill himself. That man… I love him and I don’t wish to lose him. I don’t wish to lose him….. what must I do? What must I do to make him love his life? What must I do?” He let out a loud sob.

He hurriedly patted his trembling back. ”When did this happen?”

”Just today…. Today,”

”he just wanted to protect us from those cows. He was in control. Hary, he knew that I would pull him out of that tree. Prisitsky I know is not suicidal.”

Hary glanced up with his tear-stained face. ”Not that, in the base. When it was flooded with zombies. He wanted to unleash his powers. he wanted to sacrifice his life….” He continued sobbing loudly.

But this new information shocked Yue. ”He did?”

”I stopped him. but I can’t stop him every time. He has to have the will to live. I want him to live. Yue… do something. Help me… I don’t want him to die,” he hugged him and sobbed out like a baby.

These words did not enter Yue’s ears. For he was deep in thought.

’Inn my past life Prisitsky disappeared two years into the apocalypse. And that was exactly the time the zombie wave attacked the base. The base survived without any issues. But the man disappeared.’ His eyes widened.

The puzzle pieces fell into place at last.

In his past life, from the small dome he used to live in, he could see the base walls. back then he used to admire a huge tree that was spreading its roost on the walls. he used to whisper to Trexa how he was going to scale those roots and look out at the outside world.

Yue’s eyes then focused on the tree that was devouring the upcoming zombies. ”no way….”

’in my last life.. Prisitsky sacrificed his life and turned to a tree to save the base. That was why… he disappeared!!’
