Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse [BL]

Zou Yue walked home with Zi Chen and the first thing he did was to check their appliances and their food stock. All the food was stored in his parent’s walk in refrigerator. As of now, they had a lot of solar power appliances in Fan’s house. They only needed a few in case of emergencies.

”Dad...” Zi Chen gently tugged at his shirt. ”is something wrong?”

”Nothing baby, I’m just searching for something,” he walked over to the basement. He rarely visited this place. Fan had stored a lot of stuff in here and it was very hard to walk in. ”stay here dad will come up in a few minutes okay,”

But to his surplices Zi Chen did not listen to him and ran down. ”I’ll help you find whatever you are searching for. Zi Chen is a bog boy and big boys help their dads,”

”Aw baby that’s so sweet but there are a lot of things in here. You might accidentally get hurt,”

”Don’t worry I’ll be careful,”

Seeing his son being so stubborn he could not tell him to. Yue kept an eye on him while searching through the solar-powered stuff. They had a solar power-charged generator. It was small, and it was very compact. They had tested it once and it held power for almost ten hours. It was a great find.

Then he found a few solar-powered lights. Even though light will attract zombies, they needed something for visibility. If there was a huge blackout during no moon day, they will be screwed. Zombies can still smell them out.

Plus he had Zi Chen now. He needed to be extra careful in protecting his child.

He sorted through the huge collection of solar sheets.

Fan Xui had brought these while he was building this house. These amount of sheets can run a ten-story building. As for why he brought so many, this stupid chaebol wanted to impress his dad.

His lover mentioned that he had noticed solar sheets on their house and wanted something common to talk about.

Fan was awkwardly cute that way.

Smiling Yue peered at the huge pile. ”It’s not a waste though...”

With the extra solar sheets they helped set up a solar-powered electric system in Tian’s house, his manager Mu’s place, And also at Peng Peng’s place.

Hary still decided to stay in the barrack so there was no need for modification at his place.

”Dad, it’s you~” Zi Chen suddenly shouted.

”Huh?” he walked over to see what he was looking at.

His son was holding up a poster. It was half-folded and he could not look at it properly.

He lifted it up, unrolling it completely.

It was a full 3 feet poster of him, shirtless biting into a rose.

Yue almost stumbled back in shock. ”What the... how did he get this...”

This was from one of his discontinued shoots. And this was also the time he was reborn back in time. He was ravenously hungry and ate the rose.

Ended up the photographer loved it and took so many photos.

He never got to see the result before his manger mu said that it was canceled. The photos somehow ended up in Fan’s house.

”This Fan.. how many secrets does he have.”

”Dad looks so good.” Zi Chen said.

Yue immediately folded it up. he was half-naked in this and he did not want his child to think it was normal.

”See there’s more,” Zi Chen pulled out a pile of magazines and photos.

It was all of his previous shoots.

”This guy was hoarding my pictures....”

Back then Fan had admitted that he fell for him first but he never believed it. Fan never got to know him before all this happened, well they did bump into each other but they never had a meaningful conversation.

But now he was starting to believe it.

Fan might have been smitten with him way back then he had realized.

Blushing, he covered up the pile with a cloth. ”why don’t we check on the amenities? What scent of soap does Chen want?”

”Why are we picking and packing things?”

Yue sighed and got down to his knees. He held his shoulders peering into his eyes. ”Zi Chen, there might come a day.... we might leave this house behind. So we need to select things that we will be taking with us.”

”Why do we have to leave?...”

”well.. Some dangerous creatures will come to attack us. so we need to be prepared to run,”

Zi Chen frowned. ”We are heroes, we should not run,”

”No no, we must run. Only when we have no other option, we must fight. Remember this well Zi Chen, we must run. Repeat after me,”

”I’m not a baby, I understand dad. I’ll run when I feel threatened.”

”Good boy,” he gently hugged him and kissed his cheeks. ”I love you so much,”

”Love you too dad...” Zi Chen smiled at him exposing his gummy teeth.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

Yue became vigilant. Fan only returned by evening and his father was away at wen’s place, Tian and Juda were probably busy at the hospital. He was not expecting anyone.

”Stay here okay,” he whispered and climbed up the stairs with his sword ready. ”who is it?”

”It’s me,”

”Who is this?”

”It’s Bohai Yue. I came to talk to you about something,”

Yue let out a deep breath. Glancing back, he noticed Zi Chen was poking his head out the basement door. He gestured for him to come out. The little kid came running.

He opened the door a little and when he was sure it was just Bohai and opened it fully.

”Come in, what bring you here. I thought you would be at work by now,”’

”Usually I am, but I heard from a fined who in turn heard from Hary that you are searching for a puppy.”

Yue’s ears perked up. ”Puppy? You know of one.”

”Puppy~ puppy~~ Zi Chen happily jumped around. ”dad, we’re getting a puppy?”

”Maybe, let’s first see what puppy that is Chen. Where is this puppy? I would like to see it,”’

”It’s close to my home..” Bohai led them to the house they are very familiar with. It was the at Liwei’s house.

”Why are we here?”

The house was now occupied by a young couple. ”Bohai, you’re here. Is this your friend you told me about?”

”Yes, Yue, this is Liam, he’s one of my mates from us.”

”Nice to meet you,”

The American man nodded. ”You’re here for the dog, right?”

”Yes,”

They both walked into back yard. Zi Chen happily hopped about.

”It must have lost its owners or abandoned. The dog drops by my backyard now and then. it would howl and wail, and then it would leave. I keep a bowl of food and water for it. I’m not getting paid that well. And I don’t have the financial support to take care of it. it would be a great help if you can foster it,”

Yue got to the backyard looking around. There were giant footprints everywhere. It was more like a lion’s footsteps than a dog’s. ”How big is this puppy?”

As he was asking this Zi Chen ran into the backyard shouting puppy.

”Chen ah, don’t run. It’s dangerous. Hey kid!”

Chen stopped by a tree and happily ran around it. a huge blind figure cowered there.

”Chen, come here. I think the dog needs his space.”

”No he says he is lonely,” Chen said and immediately touched its matted fur. ”Don’t worry, I’m here for you. Years ago even I was like you, but my dads took me in. I’ll save you just like that. You don’t be to be lonely. I’ll be your friend,”

The dog finally raised its head whimpering.

It was a golden retriever. But it looked more like a used mop. Its long hair was super matted and covered half of its face. The dog could barely see anything. It was covered in mud and dirt.

Yue saw how the dog snuggled into his son’s embrace. ’This dog could be Chen’s added protection.’

He knew for sure the zombie tide is coming their way. He wanted to do his utmost to keep his son safe. A dog can really help.

Dogs are smart, fast, and very loyal once they get used to humans. If Chen was in danger, this dog can protect him.

Plus this dog was big. It was as huge as a horse. If anything happens, he can simply strap Chen on its back and order it to run away.

’Yes, that’s a good plan...’

He glanced at Liam. ”We’ll take it,”

”Yeah~ welcome to our family golden,” Zi Chen shouted hugging the dog’s neck.

The dog’s tail wagged slightly, swishing dust and mud everywhere.

”Come on let’s go home.”

Zi Chen ran to him but the dog hesitantly stayed at the spot.

”We’ll go home and eat something delicious.” His child said softly.

The dog stood up unsteadily and walked over to them. It was very slow and very careful in approaching them.

Yue did not want to spook it anymore. ”Can it follow us?” he whispered to his child softly.

”yes, he can. Follow me golden. My dads and I will take good care of you.”

Walking out of the house, the dog finally gave one last glance at the house. It whimpered and howled and ran after them.

It looked like it was saying its goodbyes.
