Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 962: Chapter 1005: Pregnant

And her! Quite the opposite! She has been working while studying since she was a child. While others enjoyed holidays at home watching TV, she was out doing odd jobs.

The money she earned not only covered her education but also endlessly filled the bottomless pit that was her parents’ needs.

Thinking about it, she truly felt pitiful; there probably isn’t anyone worse off than her in the world! Even her good friend Anxin, despite having a father who was heavily addicted, at least had a mother who loved her!

But she! Had parents who neither cared for her nor loved her since she was a child. Even the aunt who raised her married and emigrated a few years ago, leaving her alone and desolate in Jin City.

Though her aunt wasn’t kind to her all the time, at least she had someone around.

After her aunt left, it truly was just herself alone.

Despite her actions earlier being rather sordid, taking Huo Junmo’s money did solve her immediate crisis, at least she didn’t have to scramble to find money.

With this thought, Ling Yueyue felt a little better inside.

Standing under the faucet, Ling Yueyue kept scrubbing her body until it turned red, yet she still didn’t feel clean.

It wasn’t until the bathroom door was knocked on hard twice and the landlord’s displeased voice sounded from outside, ”Hey, save water, don’t think just because the water bill is flat-rated each month you can waste it as you please. It’s almost an hour, if you don’t come out, I’ll start charging!”

Hearing the annoying voice, Ling Yueyue finally turned off the faucet, dried herself, and walked out of the bathroom.

As soon as she stepped out, she saw the landlord with a grim expression, standing there with hands on hips. Seeing her come out, he started babbling nonstop, ”Hey, Xiao Ling, you can’t waste water like that. Do you know how much water you used in an hour? You only pay me a little for water each month, do you know how much I’m losing? You...!”

Ignoring the landlord’s nonstop mouth, Ling Yueyue chose to ignore him and went back to her room without looking back, slamming the door shut.

Even with the door closed, she could still hear the landlord cursing outside.

At this moment, she only felt a painful throb at her temples, repeatedly! Might as well, she thought, skip school and just lay down to rest.

Ling Yueyue thought that with time, she would gradually forget about this incident.

But ever since that night, whenever she fell asleep, she would relive the scenes from that night over and over in her dreams, each time it was Huo Junmo pressing down on her, continuously taking from her.

Gradually, she realized subtle changes were happening within her body and mind.

She seemed to develop a subtle feeling towards Huo Junmo.

One month later, her period did not come as expected. An ominous feeling crept up in her heart. After school that day, she went to a pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test kit.

When she saw the two red lines on the test kit, there was just a loud bang in her head, as if something exploded, leaving her in chaos.

”I’m pregnant? It was just once, how could I be pregnant?” Ling Yueyue stared at the test kit in disbelief, pinched her arm hard, hoping she was dreaming.

”Hiss...!” The pain on her arm made her involuntarily draw a sharp breath.

”Really pregnant?” The real pain forced her to face reality!

”What to do, what to do? I’m pregnant, what to do? What do I do?! That morning, why did I forget to take the morning-after pill?” Ling Yueyue was frantically pacing in the room, not knowing what to do.

Ling Yueyue took out her phone, found her good friend Ye Anxin’s number, and wanted to call her, but she hung up the call as soon as she dialed it.

No, no, I can’t tell Anxin about this. If she asks, what do I say? Should I tell her the child is Huo Junmo’s? If this accidentally spreads around at school, won’t I be laughed at by my classmates?

However, she couldn’t bear to abort the child. This is her own flesh and blood! What mother would willingly kill her child?

After days and nights of contemplating and struggling, Ling Yueyue gritted her teeth and hailed a taxi, directly going to the entrance of Huo Tian Group.

Inside Huo Tian Group, without knowing how things worked, Ling Yueyue was stopped by the receptionist, ”Sorry, this is Huo Tian Group. Who are you looking for?”

Treading into such a big company for the first time was like a village girl entering a city, Ling Yueyue was completely clueless, stating directly, ”I’m looking for Huo Junmo!”

The receptionist smiled slightly, courteously: ”Do you have an appointment?”

Ling Yueyue was taken aback, puzzled, asking, ”Appointment? Do I need an appointment to see him?”

Hearing Ling Yueyue’s words, a hint of disdain was clear in the receptionist’s eyes, and her tone was less courteous than before, ”If no appointment was needed, wouldn’t anyone be able to see our president? Our president is busy all day, not everyone who wants to see him can.”

”Then please make a call to your president and tell him I’m Ye Anxin’s good friend, my name is Ling Yueyue, he’ll surely see me!” In this situation, she had no choice but to drag her good friend Ye Anxin into it.

She knew that Huo Junmo had a special place for her friend Ye Anxin, mentioning Ye Anxin’s name would definitely make him see her.

”I’m sorry, I...!” The receptionist was about to decline when Ling Yueyue cut in coldly, ”I suggest you call your president, it’s no trouble anyway! If he doesn’t see me, I’ll leave! But if he does, that means everything’s different! You don’t want to be derelict, right?”

Threatened by Ling Yueyue, the receptionist hesitated, came to a decision, nodded, and with a smile said, ”Miss, please wait a moment, I’ll call Assistant Meng!” Saying this, she let Ling Yueyue rest temporarily at the reception area in the hall while she went to the front desk to call Meng Bo.

The call was quickly connected, the receptionist respectfully stated: ”Assistant Meng, there’s a Miss Ling Yueyue here, she claims to be Ye Anxin’s friend, and she’s asking to see the president!”

”Wait a moment!” Hearing the receptionist’s words, Meng Bo put down the phone, walked out of the assistant’s office, and went to knock lightly on the president’s office door.

”Come in!” Following Huo Junmo’s voice, Meng Bo opened the office door.

Huo Junmo looked up from the mountains of files, asking indifferently, ”What’s the matter?”

Meng Bo reported truthfully, ”President, a Miss Ling Yueyue is here to see you, she says she is Miss Ye Anxin’s good friend!”
