Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 896: Chapter 939: Go for a Checkup

Looking at his cute little expression, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but ask with a smile, ”What doesn’t feel right?”

Xiao Bai did not answer Ye Anxin’s question. His big eyes were filled with confusion as he continued, ”Not only does it feel wrong, but the face is also wrong!”

At these words, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but burst into laughter! She reached out to touch her own face, squinting her eyes, and said with a smile, ”My face has always been like this! What’s wrong with it?”

Xiao Bai stared intently at Ye Anxin for a while before speaking, ”I know now! You are my mom; the one at home is fake!”

Ye Anxin blinked and deliberately asked, ”Why do you say that?”

”Even though you look exactly the same, the feeling you give is totally different! I’m sure you are my mom! Although that woman deliberately mimics not only the appearance but also the voice and personality in subtle ways, the feeling is still different! I’ve finally figured out why I always felt disgusted and uncomfortable every time she touched me before! Every time she held my sister, my sister always cried loudly, yelling not to be held by her! Because the person who came back from the hospital is not my mom, she is fake!” Xiao Bai concluded earnestly, analyzing in a serious manner!

That’s it; why does he feel repulsed by the mother he usually likes the most! It turns out the one at home is simply not his biological mother, the one in front is!

Listening to Xiao Bai’s analysis, Ye Anxin’s heart felt warm, and she couldn’t help but pat Xiao Bai’s head, ”Xiao Bai, you’re so smart, you figured it all out!”

”No, I’m not smart. If I were really smart, I should have known from the first day! Mom, I’m sorry that I didn’t recognize the one at home as fake and called her ’mom’ for such a long time! I’m really sorry to you!” Saying this, Xiao Bai bowed his head in shame!

Ye Anxin smiled comfortingly, ”It’s not your fault! Your grandma and Aunt Yueyue didn’t recognize it either! It just shows she disguised too well, it’s not to blame on you. Besides, it was a good thing you didn’t recognize it; if you had realized it, she definitely wouldn’t have let you off so easily!”

Xiao Bai shook his head vigorously, ”No! I had suspicions at first! But, I didn’t believe there could be two people in the world looking exactly the same, and not just looks, how could even the voice and personality be the same! So I quickly dismissed the thoughts from my mind! It’s my confusion; I should have investigated clearly! Even my sister realized she was fake and refused to be held by her, yet I didn’t notice!”

Thinking about how he called another woman ’mom’ for such a long time, Xiao Bai felt incredibly guilty!

Seeing Xiao Bai regretful, Ye Anxin felt a pang of sympathy and said softly, ”It’s okay, Mom really doesn’t blame you! You’re at school every day, and spend little time with her, so it’s normal not to notice! Your dad also didn’t notice at first, right! You can’t just say your dad is dumb! It’s just that she disguised too well!”

Xiao Bai looked at Mu Beiting, puzzled and asked, ”Dad, when did you find out that the one at home is fake?”

Mu Beiting replied calmly, ”At the hospital!”

Xiao Bai pouted unhappily, ”You found out at the hospital? Then why didn’t you tell me? Also, Mom, where did you go during this time? Was it that fake at home who took you away?”

”...!”

”...!” Ye Anxin and Mu Beiting looked at Xiao Bai at the same time, unsure of how to respond.

Seeing both of them keeping it from him, Xiao Bai grew irritated and said, ”Mom, say something! Are you trying to drive me crazy?”

Knowing Xiao Bai was smart and couldn’t be kept in the dark, Ye Anxin could only sigh and confess, ”Yes! The fake at home took Mom somewhere else! And had someone watch over me, stopping me from coming back! Later, your dad found me and brought me back!”

Xiao Bai asked again, ”Dad, you weren’t really on a business trip during these days; you were actually looking for Mom, weren’t you?”

Mu Beiting nodded lightly, ”Mm!”

Upon hearing this, Xiao Bai widened his eyes in anger and said indignantly, ”Since you were looking for Mom, why did you take little Chu Yi and not me? You kept me in the dark thinking the one at home was really my mom!”

Ye Anxin laughed and said, ”Oh! Xiao Bai, don’t be upset! Wasn’t it because you had to go to school? Besides, if we took you too, the fake at home would definitely have become suspicious, and this couldn’t be uncovered so easily! Listen to Mom, don’t get upset, alright? Fortunately, Mom is back now; the fake at home has also been dealt with by your dad! Isn’t this a happy ending?”

”Hmph!” Even with Ye Anxin’s words, Xiao Bai still puffed his cheeks in anger, turning his head away from her.

Seeing this, Ye Anxin deliberately put on a pitiful expression, pouting and saying, ”Xiao Bai, are you really angry at Mom, you won’t forgive Mom?”

Xiao Bai snorted coldly, raising his chin high, ”I’m not mad at you, I’m mad at Dad! He shouldn’t have kept this from me! I’m already six years old; I’m an adult; I have the right to know the truth!”

”...!” Ye Anxin looked sympathetically at Mu Beiting.

Mu Beiting didn’t glance at Xiao Bai, as if unaware of his anger, directly instructing the driver, ”To the hospital!”

”Yes!” With Mu Beiting’s command, the business car slowly headed toward the hospital.

A child is just a child; Xiao Bai’s attention was quickly drawn away by Mu Beiting’s words, grabbing Ye Anxin’s hand and asking nervously, ”Why are we suddenly going to the hospital for a check-up? Mom, did that fake woman do something to you?”

”No! It’s just a regular health check-up! You know your dad is always busy, resting very little daily! With the pollution so severe, sub-health conditions are serious! If there is a problem with the body, of course, it’s best to detect and treat early, wouldn’t you say?” In order not to worry Xiao Bai, and since the truth hadn’t been uncovered, Ye Anxin decided not to tell Xiao Bai.

Xiao Bai raised an eyebrow skeptically, ”Really?”

Ye Anxin nodded, smiling sweetly, ”Of course it’s true! When did Mom ever lie to you?”

Xiao Bai puffed his cheeks and stared at Ye Anxin for a while, then nodded seriously like a little adult, saying, ”Alright! Then I’ll believe you for now! If you lie to me, I definitely won’t forgive you!”

”...!” Watching Xiao Bai with his precocious demeanor, Ye Anxin could only smile helplessly and pulled him into a hug.

Though it had only been half a month since she last saw Xiao Bai, it felt like an eternity to her! She really, really missed him!
