Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 856: Chapter 899: Switching the Dragon for the Phoenix

Mu Rufeng said with a straight face, ”Mom, liking is just liking, there’s no reason for liking someone! Right now I just like Xiaoman, as long as I can be with her, I feel very happy with her! As long as I can have her, even if you want me to die right now, I’m willing!”

”You...!! Forget it, I’m done with you! Do whatever you want, live however you like! I just hope you won’t regret it one day!” Seeing that Mu Rufeng had already said this much, Mother Mu didn’t say anything more. She stood up and went back to her own room.

Seeing that his mother finally stopped blocking him from being with the woman he loved, Mu Rufeng let out a sigh of relief, stood up, and went back into the room that belonged to him and Ye Anxin.

When he returned to the room, Ye Anxin was still lying on the bed, sleeping soundly!

Unable to help himself, Mu Rufeng walked over, sat down on the edge of the bed, reached out and gently stroked her silky hair, his eyes filled with undisguised deep affection.

Even though he clearly knew that having her take the memory-decline medicine would harm her body, in order to keep her by his side, he had to do it!

To make sure this whole ”steal the dragon and swap the phoenix” plan succeeded, he and Ruan Zhitong had already found the world’s most authoritative hypnotherapist beforehand! When Ruan Zhitong secretly had Ye Anxin sent over, he had the hypnotherapist hypnotize her and forcibly pour Ye Xiaoman’s memories into her mind, making her forget her identity as Ye Anxin and only remember that her name was Ye Xiaoman!

At the same time as the hypnosis, he gave her the medicine that would cause her memory to decline, so she would forget the past even more!

And all the wedding photos in this room had been taken in advance with him and Ruan Zhitong! It was all so she would firmly believe that she was Ye Xiaoman, his wife!

Although doing this to her was very cruel, he really had no other way! This was the only way he could have her!

Looking at Ye Anxin’s familiar little face, thinking of the bits and pieces of the time they had once spent together, Mu Rufeng couldn’t help but lower his head and kiss her red lips, solemnly vowing, ”Xiaoman, don’t worry, I will definitely treat you well and make you the happiest woman in the world! The two of us will definitely live very happily together, very joyfully! We’ll even have our own children!” As he spoke, he couldn’t resist branding another searing kiss on Ye Anxin’s red lips.

After Ye Anxin fell asleep, Mu Rufeng stayed by her side the whole time, watching over her and taking care of her!

Ye Anxin slept for a long time again; it wasn’t until night fell that she slowly opened her eyes!

The first thing she saw when she opened her eyes was Mu Rufeng’s handsome, familiar face.

Mu Rufeng, who had been staring at Ye Anxin without blinking, naturally saw that she had woken up. He quickly broke into a grin and said softly, ”You’re awake!”

”Mm! Did I sleep for a long time?” Ye Anxin nodded, climbed up from the bed, and rubbed her faintly aching temples.

She didn’t know why, but when she woke up at noon, her temples had hurt badly, and now that she had woken up again, her temples still hurt just as much!

Mu Rufeng said with a smile, ”Yeah! You slept the whole afternoon! It’s almost dark outside!”

”How did I sleep for so long?” Ye Anxin asked as she rubbed her temples and sat up.

She vaguely remembered that she didn’t seem like someone who liked to sleep in. Normally she went to bed early and got up early! Only when she was really tired did she take a nap at noon, and under normal circumstances she slept very little!

How come this time, she slept a whole afternoon in one go?

Mu Rufeng calmly explained, ”The doctor said your head suffered a heavy blow, so being drowsy is completely normal! After a while, once the injury on your head has healed, it’ll slowly get better!”

”Oh! So that’s the reason!” Ye Anxin didn’t doubt Mu Rufeng’s explanation at all.

Because in her mind she did remember that the two of them were a couple. Although the wedding scenes were a bit blurry, the wedding photos in the room and some vague fragments in her head all showed that she and this man really were husband and wife.

Mu Rufeng ruffled her slightly muddled head and said with a squinting smile, ”Are you hungry? If you are, I’ll take you out to get something to eat! You can also get some fresh air! You’ve already been lying at home for a week! The doctor said that going out for walks more often is good for your recovery!”

”Mm! I’ll go freshen up and then change my clothes!” Ye Anxin nodded. Mu Rufeng quickly reached out, supporting Ye Anxin’s arm as she got out of bed, then led her all the way to the bathroom.

Standing in the bathroom, Ye Anxin roughly glanced around!

Two towels, two toothbrushes, two rinsing cups! Everything was in pairs, except everything was brand new, as if it had just been bought!

Holding the toothbrush and rinsing cup, Ye Anxin asked in puzzlement, ”Haven’t we been married for three years? Why are the toothbrushes, towels, and rinsing cups all new?”

Mu Rufeng used the explanation he’d already prepared long ago, ”That was Mom’s idea! Mom said you fell down for no reason this time, it’s inauspicious, so she told me to change everything to new ones! Even the clothes you’re wearing are all brand new ones I bought for you!”

Ye Anxin frowned and muttered, ”There’s even such a saying?”

Mu Rufeng said unhurriedly, ”You know how old people are, they’re all superstitious! Always muttering about this and that. If you don’t do what she says, she’ll nag by your ear all day long, nagging until your head feels like it’s going to explode! So I could only follow what she said and change everything to new ones! We don’t have any money right now; if we did, she’d definitely insist on changing even the house!”

After hearing Mu Rufeng say that, Ye Anxin felt it actually made quite a bit of sense!!

Almost all elderly people are superstitious, always thinking this is unlucky and that is unlucky! So wanting to change everything is totally normal!

After thinking it through like that, Ye Anxin didn’t say anything more. She picked up the pink toothbrush, squeezed on some toothpaste, and started brushing her teeth.

After brushing her teeth and washing her face, her head finally stopped hurting, and her whole person looked much more energetic!

So when Mu Rufeng tried to help her change her clothes, she turned him down!

Ye Anxin walked over to the wardrobe by herself, opened it, and took out a white T-shirt and a pair of sky-blue jeans!

Just as Mu Rufeng had said, all the clothes in the wardrobe were brand new! Not just hers, even Mu Rufeng’s clothes were all new!

Ye Anxin didn’t think too much about it and went into the bathroom with the clothes.

After she’d changed, Ye Anxin was even more certain that everything Mu Rufeng said was true!

Because the clothes fit her perfectly in size! And the style of the clothes was exactly what she liked!

However, while she was changing, Ye Anxin suddenly discovered that there was actually a scar on her belly!

Ye Anxin lowered her head and carefully studied this scar.
