Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 869: Chapter 912: Mother and Daughter

”Xiaoman, wait for me here. I’ll go get your bag back. Don’t wander off!” Not wanting Ye Anxin to think of him as a cowardly man, Mu Rufeng gritted his teeth and chased after the place where the man had disappeared after reminding her.

”Rufeng, be careful!” Watching Mu Rufeng’s fleeing figure, she shouted anxiously.

Unfortunately, by the time she finished speaking, Mu Rufeng’s figure had already vanished into the vast crowd!

As Mu Rufeng went after the thief, Ye Anxin was left anxiously pacing back and forth on the spot! From time to time, she craned her neck to look towards where Mu Rufeng had disappeared!

However, she didn’t see Mu Rufeng return!

With all her attention focused on Mu Rufeng, Ye Anxin didn’t notice a figure slowly approaching her little by little.

When Ye Anxin once again raised her head towards the place where Mu Rufeng had disappeared, a pair of large hands suddenly reached out, holding a neatly folded handkerchief! Before Ye Anxin could react, the handkerchief was pressed against her nose! Immediately after, a pungent scent from the handkerchief infiltrated her nostrils.

The sudden situation startled Ye Anxin, and she hurriedly struggled desperately!

Unfortunately, the more she struggled, the harder she breathed! The more she breathed, the more of the scent she inhaled!

In no time, she felt her body go limp, devoid of any strength! Then her vision went dark, and she fainted.

There were many people coming and going around. Although some noticed what was happening, nobody came forward to help, and they watched as the unconscious Ye Anxin was carried away by a strange man into a high-end luxury business car.

The car had just driven off not long before Mu Rufeng returned with Ye Anxin’s bag!

Holding the bag in his hand, Mu Rufeng couldn’t help but feel jubilant and proud!

He hadn’t expected that shortly after he gave chase, the thief would drop the bag on the ground and run!

He guessed that the thief was afraid of being caught by him and handed over to the police, so he abandoned the bag to save himself!

Having retrieved the bag, he could now show off in front of Ye Anxin, making her give him ample praise for his achievement! Of course, he would definitely embellish his heroics, constantly boasting about his capability and bravery!

Unfortunately, Mu Rufeng’s pride didn’t last long. When he returned to the place where he’d parted with Ye Anxin, he didn’t find Ye Anxin there.

A feeling of dread seized Mu Rufeng, and the first thought that came to his mind was that Ye Anxin might be in danger! Without caring for anything else, he went madly searching around! No matter where he went, he grabbed someone and asked about Ye Anxin’s whereabouts!

But everyone just shook their heads and walked away!

At the entrance of the large mall, Mu Rufeng appeared like a headless chicken, frantically running about...

.........

Meanwhile, in the presidential suite of a five-star hotel!

Mu Beiting sat gloomily on the sofa while the nanny walked around the room with little Chu Yi, playing with her.

At this moment, the doorbell rang.

The nanny went to open the door!

Outside, Ah Hao hurriedly carried the unconscious Ye Anxin inside! Pete followed closely behind.

Pete quickly explained, ”President, I’m sorry, we were late! It was really difficult because those two were inseparable, clinging to each other tightly, and finding the right opportunity was hard!”

Since the boss had previously instructed to bring Madam back before lunch, and now it was already 2 PM! Worried about being blamed for the delay, Pete could only first present themselves for punishment!

Mu Beiting stood up from the sofa, took large strides over, and upon seeing Ye Anxin lying motionless in Ah Hao’s arms, his brows furrowed tightly in displeasure and he asked, ”What happened to her? Did you drug her?”

Feeling the displeasure from Mu Beiting, Pete felt a chill down his spine and quickly explained, ”President, there was no choice! That was the only opportunity just now, and there were too many people around. Only this way could we bring Madam back without alarming anyone! But don’t worry, we used a light dose of the drug, it won’t harm Madam’s body, and she’ll wake up soon!”

Mu Beiting gave Pete and Ah Hao a cold look!

Pete and Ah Hao immediately held their breaths, not daring to make a sound!

Just when they thought Mu Beiting would explode, Mu Beiting stretched out his hand to take Ye Anxin from Ah Hao’s arms! He silently carried Ye Anxin back to the room and placed her on the bed.

After laying Ye Anxin on the bed, Mu Beiting took little Chu Yi from the nanny’s arms and sat by the bedside.

Perhaps feeling Ye Anxin’s familiar presence, little Chu Yi suddenly became excited, her eyes brightening, and her unsteady little hands waving about wildly.

Ever since the fake Ye Anxin came to the house, Mu Beiting had never seen little Chu Yi so happy and excited. The tense lines of his face gradually softened as he asked the little one in his arms in a soft voice, ”Do you miss Mommy?”

Little Chu Yi seemed to understand his words, waving her little hands even more energetically!

”Then let me put you next to Mommy so she can hold you!” Mu Beiting curled his lips into a smile, slid one of Ye Anxin’s arms aside, and placed little Chu Yi into her embrace, close to her body.

The moment little Chu Yi touched Ye Anxin, she immediately squinted her eyes with a sweet smile! The serenity and contentment on her face were beyond words! Even though Ye Anxin wasn’t holding her, just being close like this made her feel very happy.

Watching little Chu Yi quietly lying next to Ye Anxin, the depth in Mu Beiting’s eyes also became tinted with satisfaction.

With Ye Anxin by her side, it was little Chu Yi’s first time lying quietly on the bed without crying or making a fuss, and for the first time since her birth, she didn’t need milk or comforting, just lying quietly and falling asleep beside Ye Anxin!

Seeing the tender, serene faces of Ye Anxin and little Chu Yi sleeping, Mu Beiting couldn’t bear to leave, just sitting there quietly watching.

About half an hour later, Ye Anxin, who was in a deep sleep, gently moved her fingers and then her eyelashes!

Although her eyes didn’t open, one could clearly see through her eyelids that the pupils beneath were moving.

Mu Beiting didn’t make a sound, nor did he call out to her, just watching her quietly, allowing her to gradually awaken on her own.

Ye Anxin’s eyelids fluttered, then slowly furrowed her brows, gradually opening her eyelids which felt as heavy as a thousand pounds!

When Ye Anxin opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Mu Beiting’s handsome face, close at hand!

Staring at Mu Beiting’s face, Ye Anxin furrowed her brows even tighter, and a sudden ache flared in her temples as fragmented yet vague images flashed incessantly in her mind.

Ye Anxin desperately tried to seize those fragments, only to find, the more she tried, the worse the headache became!
