Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 630: Chapter 673: Prank

When the words fell, everyone present except Xiao Bai was taken aback!

Seeing the butler not moving, Xiao Bai urged, ”Butler, did you hear? Dad said to bring out a pair of communal chopsticks! Everyone’s chopsticks touching the plates is so unhygienic!”

”Yes!” The butler nodded when he saw the master speaking, and took out a pair of communal chopsticks from the kitchen.

Mo Xuehong’s hand awkwardly froze in mid-air, unable to draw back. Her heavily made-up face turned a series of colors, more splendid than a palette!

”Use the communal chopsticks when picking up food, that way it’s clean!” Saying this, he set an example by using the communal chopsticks to pick food and place it in his bowl.

Mo Xuehong awkwardly withdrew her hand, coughed lightly, and said uneasily with her head down, ”Since you’re all avoiding me, I won’t eat now. Later, I’ll eat with the servants!” Saying this, she stood up with her bowl, ready to leave.

Seeing her about to leave, Mu Beiting and Xiao Bai showed no expression, continuing to eat their meals.

Ye Anxin glanced at them, sighed inwardly, grabbed Mo Xuehong’s arm, and said with a laugh, ”Don’t mind them, they are just like this, with severe cleanliness habits. They also use communal chopsticks at home, not just because you’re here!”

Ye Anxin wanted to explain, but little did she know her words only made it more conspicuous!

Mo Xuehong bit her lip secretly, suppressing the anger in her heart, forcing a smile, ”I know, I haven’t been with them for over twenty years, it’s normal they’re not close to me. I’m already quite content to return to this family and make it up to them!”

”How can you build relationships if you don’t eat together? Come, sit down!” Saying this, she forcefully pulled Mo Xuehong back to her seat.

Mo Xuehong sat next to Ye Anxin, holding her bowl, looking at the communal chopsticks on the table, feeling more awkward by the minute!

This is an insult! A bare insult! They never used communal chopsticks before, but now they do since she’s here, isn’t it clear they’re avoiding her?

If it weren’t for her precious daughter, she would have exploded, and wouldn’t sit here silently!

Therefore, no matter how fiercely the flames raged in her heart, Mo Xuehong could only suppress them, while maintaining a generous and dignified smile.

”Come on, eat! If you don’t, the food will get cold!” Saying this, he used the communal chopsticks to place some food into Mo Xuehong’s bowl.

”Thank you!” Mo Xuehong thanked him, then quietly continued eating without a word.

Seeing her obediently eating, Xiao Bai let out a heavy snort from his nose, then continued to eat!

Initially not in a good mood, he became quite cheerful seeing Mo Xuehong’s discomfort, even eating an extra bowl than usual.

Mu Beiting remained indifferent throughout, not casting a glance at Mo Xuehong.

Only Ye Anxin occasionally served Mo Xuehong food, maintaining superficial small talk with her.

After the meal, Mo Xuehong even vied with guests to wash the dishes.

Ye Anxin quickly said, ”There’s no need, let the servants handle it!”

Xiao Bai hurriedly grabbed Ye Anxin’s arm, exaggerating his voice, ”Mom, since she wants to do it, let her! Didn’t she say she wanted to make up? If she can satisfy me with her work, maybe I’ll generously forgive her!”

He deliberately said this for Mo Xuehong to hear. His voice was loud enough that nearly all the servants in the living and dining rooms heard it.

Seeing how Xiao Bai treated Mo Xuehong, everyone covered their mouths, secretly laughing, eyes full of schadenfreude.

Watching the servants’ expressions, Mo Xuehong was furious, clenching her fists tightly, but couldn’t explode.

Ye Anxin slightly frowned, pretending to be angry and shouted, ”Xiao Bai!”

Before Ye Anxin finished, Xiao Bai impatiently said to Mo Xuehong, ”Did you hear that? Since you want to make up, then do it right, be diligent. Maybe I’ll see your sincerity, forgive you, and change my opinion of you!”

”Alright... alright...!” Initially, Mo Xuehong just wanted to go through the motions, but Xiao Bai’s words forced her to roll up her sleeves and reluctantly start cleaning the dishes.

Initially thinking she might get lazy with servants helping her with the dishes, Xiao Bai unexpectedly spoke again to the servants in the kitchen, ”Remember, from now on, all household chores go to her. Don’t compete with her. I just want to see how long her sincerity lasts!”

”Understood, young master!” The servants quickly nodded, and those who were helping Mo Xuehong to clean the dishes washed their hands and stood aside, watching Mo Xuehong with glee.

”Remember, if she doesn’t work hard, tell me immediately! I hate being deceived! If it’s not sincere, don’t just go through the motions!” Saying this, he pulled Ye Anxin’s hand and left the kitchen.

”Xiao Bai...!” Ye Anxin frowned and called Xiao Bai unhappily.

Xiao Bai ignored it, pulling Ye Anxin out of the kitchen without looking back.

Ye Anxin, half resisting and half submitting, followed Xiao Bai out of the kitchen. As soon as she left the kitchen, she couldn’t suppress the smile on her lips.

Mo Xuehong stood by the sink, her hands covered in dish soap; she loathed it yet couldn’t show it, awkwardly washing the dishes in the sink.

Thinking the ordeal was over, she didn’t expect Xiao Bai to clap his hands in the dining room and shout to the butler, ”Butler, come here, and bring all the on-duty servants, I have instructions!”

”Yes, young master!” The butler nodded and quickly ordered someone to gather all the on-duty servants.

Sitting on the sofa with a newspaper, Mu Beiting raised his head, glanced at Xiao Bai, then lowered his head, continuing to read, paying no attention to anything.

Before long, the servants lined up in front of Xiao Bai!

Xiao Bai turned his head and looked at Mo Xuehong washing dishes, the corner of his mouth curled wickedly, deliberately speaking in a voice Mo Xuehong could hear, ”From today on, assign all the housework to her alone. If she doesn’t know how, guide her on the side, teach her well! If anyone treats her courteously, they can pack up and leave!”

As Xiao Bai’s words fell, Mo Xuehong’s grip on a dish slipped into the sink.

”...!” Hearing this, the servants looked at each other in confusion, having no idea what Xiao Bai meant.

Seeing no one answered, Xiao Bai impatiently asked, ”Did you hear me?”

One of the servants hesitantly asked, ”Young master, did we do something wrong? Are you going to dismiss us?”
