Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 604: Chapter 647: Forgiveness

”I...!” Faced with the sudden truth and Nan Mingchuan’s confession, Ye Anxin was speechless for a long time!

What difference does knowing the truth make? Now that things are settled, should she blame her father? Should she return Nanshang Group to him?

If she returns it to her father, everything would go back to square one! Her father is already so old, should he continue to toil for the company? Xue Rong is hoping to leave here with him, should she be disappointed?

If everything returns to square one, what if Xue Rong reverts to her old self?

After some serious thought, Ye Anxin found herself unable to blame her father, whose temples were already graying! Although there was blame in her heart, there was more distress for her father!

Seeing Ye Anxin remain silent for a long time, Nan Mingchuan continued, ”Anxin, I’m not asking for your forgiveness, I just hope you’ll be a little happier in the future! If you are unwilling, you can return Nanshang Group to me! I will give you freedom to return to Jin City with President Mu, and live a happy life! This way, Nanshang Group will no longer be a burden on your shoulders!”

Ye Anxin sighed and said helplessly, ”Dad, everything is already in the past, let it go! You are getting old, and sooner or later, Nanshang Group will have to be handed over! I know that if you don’t hand it over to someone you trust, you will never be at ease! Besides, you have already promised Aunt Xue Rong to take her abroad to find Jianning, so your family can live a simple and happy life! Although I blame you for calculating against me, ultimately, you haven’t done anything fundamentally harmful! You did it for Nanshang Group! The most important thing is that you now regret it, and have confessed everything to me! This proves that you still see me as your daughter! So, I don’t blame you! I will continue to take over Nanshang Group! Although I know nothing about business, I can learn! After my child is born, I will carefully learn how to manage a group from Uncle, and I will truly become the manager of Nanshang Group!”

Ye Anxin knew that up to this point, this was the only solution!

Her father was already advanced in years, unable to continue managing Nanshang Group, and should be enjoying his twilight years! However, to hand over an enterprise that doesn’t belong to the Mu Group to Uncle, adding to his burdens, also made her feel guilty!

Instead, why not learn diligently how to manage a company herself?

She was still young and believed that as long as she worked hard to study, she could overcome any difficulty! If she couldn’t learn in one year, she’d study for two years, and if not in two years, then three; she believed she would eventually learn!

Nan Mingchuan said incredulously, ”You really don’t blame me, and you’re willing to forgive me? Are you willing to continue managing Nanshang Group?”

He thought that even if his daughter didn’t scold him, she certainly wouldn’t forgive him and would blame him in her heart!

Because anyone would find it hard to accept being used and manipulated by their own family!

But he didn’t expect his daughter’s heart to be so forgiving, just like her mother’s!

”I don’t blame you, and I am willing to take over Nanshang Group! Since I was little, Mom told me that hating or resenting someone doesn’t hurt others, it only hurts oneself! Only forgiveness and understanding can bring happiness!” Ye Anxin smiled slightly. It was precisely because she held this mindset since childhood that she could unconditionally forgive Ye Shan’s actions time and time again!

Hearing this, tears that Nan Mingchuan had just held back streamed down again, and he choked, ”Fang Chuo really brought up a good daughter. I’m truly happy and grateful to her because you can be like this! Truly! If there’s a chance, say thank you to your mom for me!”

Ye Anxin nodded with a smile, ”I will!”

”It’s almost noon now; how about you join your dad for lunch? Today might be the last chance! Shortly, I have to go back to pack and prepare for leaving!” At this, Nan Mingchuan paused and said somewhat embarrassedly, ”Dad has one more request, can you promise me?”

Ye Anxin smiled and said, ”There’s no need to talk about requests between father and daughter! Just say what you need!”

Nan Mingchuan cautiously said, ”Can you come to the airport the day after tomorrow? I’d like to see you again before I leave!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but burst into laughter, ”Dad, you’re overthinking! When you’re leaving, I’ll definitely see you off. You’re my biological father, how can I not send you off as your daughter!”

Nan Mingchuan, hearing this, breathed a sigh of relief, his face slightly red with embarrassment, ”I was just afraid you’d be mad at me and wouldn’t see me off!”

”How could that be! Let’s order food! Stop overthinking!” Saying this, Ye Anxin pressed the button on the server!

As soon as she pressed the button, the door to the private room was opened!

”So fast?” Ye Anxin was puzzled. When she turned to look at Mu Beiting standing at the door with a stern expression, she quickly squinted her eyes and smiled slightly, stood up, walked to him, hooked his arm, and said with a smile, ”Uncle, you came at the right time. I was just about to order food with Dad for lunch, join us!”

”Alright!” Mu Beiting nodded and sat down opposite Nan Mingchuan with Ye Anxin.

At the sight of Mu Beiting’s appearance, a trace of guilt flashed across Nan Mingchuan’s eyes!

Seeing his expression thoroughly, Mu Beiting slightly squinted his eyes, a cold light flickering at the bottom of his eyes!

Feeling no abnormality between them, Ye Anxin asked puzzledly, ”Uncle, why did you suddenly come over? How did you know I was here?”

Mu Beiting’s expression slightly softened, and he said warmly, ”Lin Hua said your father called you, so I came! No problem, right?”

Ye Anxin said naively, ”No problem! Dad said he’s leaving the day after tomorrow, so he wants to have a meal with me!”

Hearing this, Mu Beiting glanced at Nan Mingchuan, who instantly broke out in a cold sweat!

At this moment, the door of the private room was pushed open, and the waiter came in with a menu!

Ye Anxin ordered a few dishes that she and Mu Beiting liked, then handed the menu to Nan Mingchuan, her face slightly red, saying shyly, ”Dad, I don’t know what you like, you order yourself!”

”Okay!” Nan Mingchuan dared not look directly into Mu Beiting’s eyes, sharper than an eagle’s, lowered his head, glanced over the menu, and haphazardly pointed out two dishes before returning the menu to the waiter!

Because of Mu Beiting’s arrival, the atmosphere during the meal was quite oppressive, especially for Nan Mingchuan, who didn’t dare to raise his head to look at Mu Beiting, even though Mu Beiting didn’t look at him and was chatting with Ye Anxin, he still didn’t lift his head, entirely looking like a guilty thief!
