Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 613: Chapter 656: Qin Muyao’s Plan

Qin Muyao sat beside the hospital bed, resting her chin on one hand, contemplating seriously for a while!

Suddenly, her eyes lit up, and she quickly picked up the phone that Mo Xuehong had placed beside the pillow, inputting a string of numbers. She left the ward, walked to the nurse’s station, found the nurse who had called her earlier, smiled sweetly, and said softly, ”Hello, nurse sister! I am a family member of Mo Xuehong! Do you remember the call you made to me just now?”

The nurse nodded, ”Yes, I remember! Is there anything wrong? Is the patient feeling uncomfortable?”

Qin Muyao shook her head, still smiling harmlessly, ”No! I just want to ask for a favor!”

The nurse asked in confusion, ”What kind of favor?”

Qin Muyao smiled and said, ”It’s like this! I have no family relation with the patient Mo Xuehong, I am just her neighbor! I hope you can use her phone to call her son and tell him that Mo Xuehong’s phone only has his number saved. Mo Xuehong has been murmuring his name even in a coma! You had no choice but to call him!”

Upon hearing this, the nurse hesitated, ”This...!”

When Mo Xuehong was admitted, there was no one with her, and her condition was so severe! With no other options, she found Mo Xuehong’s phone and, according to the call log, dialed the last person she spoke to!

And that person was Qin Muyao standing in front of her now!

After hearing about Mo Xuehong’s situation, Qin Muyao immediately rushed over! She even thought they were mother and daughter! They even look so alike!

Qin Muyao said with a straight face, ”Because the patient Mo Xuehong and her son have always had a bad relationship, her son lives in a high-rise mansion, while she has to rent an apartment outside. She’s usually all alone, with no one to care for her, and she comes to me whenever she needs help! As her neighbor, I see her as pitiful alone, so I help whenever I can! But today this happened, and she kept longing to see her son just now. I feel she’s truly pitiful, being ill without a relative by her side, so I thickened my face to ask you for help!”

The nurse incredulously confirmed again, ”You’re really not her daughter?”

Qin Muyao smiled and decisively said, ”We are really just neighbors. If you don’t believe it, you can ask Ms. Mo Xuehong! She’s the patient, she couldn’t possibly deceive you, right?”

”I’ll go ask her!” The nurse didn’t dare to believe her words readily, so she took the phone and went into the ward, finding Mo Xuehong to ask, ”Ms. Mo, isn’t this lady your daughter?”

”...!” Upon hearing this, Mo Xuehong was stunned and instinctively looked towards Qin Muyao.

Standing behind the nurse, Qin Muyao kept winking at her!

Mo Xuehong instantly understood Qin Muyao’s intent, hurriedly nodded, and said weakly, ”She is not my daughter! I only have a son!”

Because Mo Xuehong didn’t know what Qin Muyao had said to the nurse, she dared not say much for fear of revealing the lie if she said too much!

”Oh!” Since Mo Xuehong said so, the nurse naturally believed her without doubt, ”Since you are awake, you can call your son yourself!” Saying that, she handed the phone to Mo Xuehong!

Without waiting for Mo Xuehong to respond, Qin Muyao quickly pushed the phone back to the nurse, smiling, ”Nurse sister, didn’t I say just now that their mother-son relationship is always bad! If Ms. Mo calls, her son is a hundred percent not coming! Do you know how Ms. Mo fainted? She was trying to meet her son, yet her son refused to see her, so she waited outside the door for the whole morning! Eventually, she fainted from exhaustion! In such a case, her son was indifferent, so how would he come if she calls?”

Listening to Qin Muyao’s words, the nurse’s face flushed with anger, ”How is there such a cold-blooded son who lacks filial piety?”

Qin Muyao nodded in agreement, ”Exactly! That’s why I wanted the nurse sister to help call! Also, please don’t mention I came to Ms. Mo’s son! I’m afraid her son will think someone is taking care of her and then won’t come!”

”Okay! Then I’ll call Ms. Mo’s son!” The nurse nodded, found Mu Beiting’s number, and dialed in front of Mo Xuehong.

On the other side, in the Mu Group building, Mu Beiting was engrossed in work. When he heard the phone ring and glanced up, he ignored it upon seeing the caller ID and continued working.

Hearing the phone ring, Ye Anxin looked up, puzzled, and asked, ”Uncle, your phone is ringing, why don’t you answer it?”

Mu Beiting said calmly, ”It’s an insignificant call!”

”Oh...!” Ye Anxin replied and continued to read her book.

The call was connected, but no one answered. Hearing the busy tone from the other side of the phone, the nurse withdrew the call in resignation, ”I called, but no one answered!”

”Probably Ms. Mo’s son saw it’s her number and purposely didn’t pick up! Now you see how bad their relationship is! As a mother, raising her son painstakingly only to be treated this way! Isn’t it heartbreaking? Only Ms. Mo can endure it; if it were me, I would have been infuriated to death!” Saying this, her eyes reddened, shedding tears of sympathy.

Watching her precious daughter’s brilliant performance beside her, Mo Xuehong continued to choose silence!

”Indeed! This son is simply too unfilial!” Affected by Qin Muyao’s emotions, the nurse also became indignant, ”But, he doesn’t answer, so what should we do?”

Qin Muyao wiped the tears from the corner of her eye and tentatively said, ”Miss Nurse, can you try calling from your department’s phone? Maybe he’ll answer if he sees it’s a landline number!”

”I’ll give it a try!” Faced with such a situation, the nurse had nothing but full sympathy for Mo Xuehong. After Qin Muyao made this request, she naturally agreed without hesitation, taking Mo Xuehong’s phone and leaving the ward to the nurse’s station, finding Mu Beiting’s number and dialing again based on it.

This time, as the phone rang, Mu Beiting didn’t even bother to glance at it, opting to turn off his phone.

The phone rang only twice, then the call indicated the other end had shut down, which immediately made the nurse even more upset!

”How did it go? How did it go?” Following closely, Qin Muyao hurriedly asked about the situation.

The nurse said helplessly, ”The phone is off! It seems the relationship between mother and son is truly terrible!”

Upon hearing this, Qin Muyao fell into deep thought, suddenly had a flash of inspiration, picked up a piece of paper and pen from the nurse’s desk, wrote down a string of numbers, and handed it to the nurse, ”Could you try calling this number please?”
