Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 139: Chapter 139: Rivals in Love Meet

In the afternoon, after Ling Yueyue finished school, she didn’t even return to her rented apartment but headed straight to the hospital with her textbooks.

Knowing Ling Yueyue would definitely come first, Ye Anxin specifically asked the housekeeper to prepare meals for two people!

Ling Yueyue hurriedly rushed over, pushed open the ward door directly, tossed her textbooks onto the bed, placed her hands on her hips, and angrily yelled, ”Damn it, what’s the matter with you? Are you deliberately trying to make me worry? Tell me, how do you end up getting bitten by a snake just like that?”

”Don’t rush, don’t rush, sit down and have a drink of water, calm down a bit!” Ye Anxin chuckled and gestured to the housekeeper to pour Ling Yueyue a glass of water.

Ling Yueyue didn’t hesitate, chugged down the water, and then handed the empty teacup to the housekeeper.

Ye Anxin grinned and asked, ”Did you bring what I wanted? Did you finish the notes?”

Ling Yueyue sat down angrily by the bed, rolled her eyes at her, ”Do you know, if it weren’t for those so-called notes of yours, I would have skipped class already! Lady, you’re like this, still worrying about school stuff! Missing a couple of classes won’t kill anyone!”

Ye Anxin playfully stuck out her small tongue, and said helplessly, ”I’m perfectly fine! If it wasn’t for the old man overreacting, I wouldn’t have skipped class! So, I can only ask you to make the notes for me and bring them so I can review them!”

”Here are your notes!” Ling Yueyue tried to resist the urge to roll her eyes and tossed the completed notebook into Ye Anxin’s embrace.

Having been friends for nearly ten years, since junior high they’ve been in the same class, Ling Yueyue knows Ye Anxin very well! She’s an all-out bookworm! Every day it’s just books, books, and more books!

At first, the fact that she agreed to date Mu Rufeng really surprised her!

She thought that a bookworm would be slow to open up and react slower than normal people when it comes to romantic affairs! But in reality, her romantic luck is constant, one after another! Mu Rufeng cheated, and she quickly hooked up with his uncle, Mu Beiting! Such speed leaves her trailing far behind.

”Thanks, really thank you so much!” Holding the notebook in her hands like a treasure, Ye Anxin flipped through it page by page, reviewing it carefully.

Ling Yueyue swiftly took the notebook from her hands, ”Hey, I just got here, you should at least wait until I leave to look at it! You have plenty of time to read at the hospital; it won’t make much difference to wait a bit!”

The housekeeper hurriedly nodded in agreement, while carefully bringing out the dishes from the thermal containers, ”Yes, ma’am, let’s have dinner first! Mr. Mu specifically asked the kitchen staff to make black fish soup, saying it helps the wound to heal! Mr. Mu also said the doctor mentioned yesterday that for the next few days, your diet should be light and mainly vegetarian! So, he asked the kitchen staff to prepare a few small dishes! Mr. Mu also said that you should bear with it for a few days, and after three days when your condition stabilizes, he will have the kitchen prepare something delicious for you!”

Ling Yueyue leaned closer to Ye Anxin and threw her a suggestive look, ”Mr., Mr., it’s all Mr.! Ye Anxin, it seems your old man takes good care of you! Really cares about you! He looks so cold, but unexpectedly cares deeply!”

Ye Anxin’s pretty face blushed, and shyly pushed Ling Yueyue aside, quietly accepting the bowl passed by the housekeeper and buried her head in eating.

”Miss!” The housekeeper handed the bowl to Ling Yueyue.

”Thanks, I won’t hold back then!” Ling Yueyue accepted the bowl from the housekeeper without hesitation and began eating heartily, while constantly praising, ”Uncle housekeeper, the meal is delicious! Your kitchen’s chefs must be world-class! Otherwise, how could they make something so tasty?”

The housekeeper was amused by Ling Yueyue, ”Miss really knows how to talk!”

”I’m telling the truth, it’s really delicious!” Ling Yueyue replied with cheeks puffed out, speaking indistinctly!

The housekeeper smiled and said no more.

Before long, Ye Anxin and Ling Yueyue had cleared all the food the housekeeper brought.

Just as the housekeeper was about to clean up the dishes, a knock on the door was suddenly heard.

Ling Yueyue and Ye Anxin exchanged glances, and Ling Yueyue wondered aloud, ”Who is it? Didn’t you say your old man was on a business trip?”

Ye Anxin shook her head in confusion, and called towards the door, ”Come in!”

The door to the ward opened in response.

Ruan Zhitong, wearing a pink sleeveless dress, stood at the ward entrance with a basket of fruit, smiled shyly at Ye Anxin, ”Miss Ye!”

”Miss Ruan, why are you here?” Ye Anxin looked at the unexpected arrival of Ruan Zhitong, visibly puzzled.

Ruan Zhitong lifted the fruit basket and smiled, ”I met Miss Ye in the emergency room yesterday, so I specially asked around and found out that Miss Ye was hospitalized. I brought fruit over to check on you! Although we’ve only met twice, I and Ting... um... I mean Mr. Mu are friends, so for reasons of both sentiment and reason, I should come see you, Miss Ye! Moreover, I’ve just returned to the country, and it’s been six years since I’ve been back, Jin City has changed so much! Jin City is almost like a strange city to me now! Therefore, I wanted to make more friends!”

Ye Anxin hurriedly said, ”No problem, come in, Miss Ruan!”

”I also brought a friend, I hope Miss Ye doesn’t mind.” Ruan Zhitong walked in with the fruit basket, and the housekeeper quickly took it and placed it on the bedside table.

Ye Anxin spoke without hesitation, ”I don’t mind, why would I mind?”

Ruan Zhitong smiled towards the door, ”Yuexin, come in! I told you Miss Ye is really nice, she won’t mind!”

Upon hearing the name, Ye Anxin’s smile froze.

Yuexin? Could it be Su Yuexin?

Sure enough, before long, Su Yuexin slowly walked into the ward.

”It’s you? Why are you here?” Ye Anxin spoke with a displeased tone.

Concerning Su Yuexin, she genuinely couldn’t maintain a good attitude! Especially when recalling the words their mother and daughter spoke in the villa, she immensely disliked them!

Up to now, Ye Anxin has never disliked anyone in her life; Su Yuexin counts for one, her mother counts for another, and now there’s an additional Mu’s mother!

For someone to genuinely displease Ye Anxin, it must touch her bottom line! Otherwise... she wouldn’t easily dislike someone! Even Xie Yunlu and Mu Rufeng, she doesn’t like them, but it’s not to the extent of this level of dislike.

Su Yuexin entered the ward, full of apologies, ”Miss Ye, I’m sorry, I’ve come specifically to apologize today!”

”No need!” Ye Anxin coldly glanced at Su Yuexin, directly displaying her dislike and aversion on her face.

Regarding Su Yuexin’s sudden goodwill, she would not be foolish enough to believe it! As the saying goes, habits die hard, she wouldn’t believe she had changed over a sudden change of heart!
