Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 117: Chapter 117: Ma’am, Your Husband Treats You So Well

Mu Beiting reached out to take the clothing and felt it but did not enter the fitting room.

”Sir, you could try it on. This is our latest style this year, and it’s the best-selling item, personally designed by the famous Italian designer Helen. You’re already very handsome, and wearing this will surely make you look even more distinguished and impressive!” The shop manager, a woman in her thirties, spoke up. At her age, she was past the stage of being infatuated! Although she also thought Mu Beiting was very handsome, in all her thirty-something years, it was her first time seeing such an outstanding appearance! However, it was just admiration.

Mu Beiting raised an eyebrow, ”Selling well?”

The shop manager nodded quickly, ”Yes! This is the best-selling item in our store. It just arrived three days ago, and every day we’ve sold several pieces. Although it’s a bit pricey, it’s absolutely worth the value!”

”No need!” Without a second thought, Mu Beiting tossed the clothes back to the manager.

”Sir?” The manager couldn’t understand, wondering why he suddenly had a change of heart.

”Uncle, why not?” Ye Anxin also didn’t understand why Mu Beiting got angry all of a sudden.

”Just no!” Mu Beiting replied firmly, turning to leave immediately.

”Uncle...!” Ye Anxin grabbed his arm, looking at him pitifully.

Mu Beiting turned back, staring at her for a while, before silently taking the clothes from the manager’s hands and heading directly into the fitting room.

Mu Beiting’s sudden change in attitude left the manager a bit stunned, and she then remarked enviously, ”Madam, your husband is really good to you!”

This comment tinged Ye Anxin’s cheeks with red. Though she said nothing, she felt sweet inside.

Moments later, the fitting room door opened, and Mu Beiting emerged with a stern face.

Ye Anxin quickly approached him, scrutinizing him from head to toe, shaking her head, ”No, it feels a bit petty, it doesn’t highlight Uncle’s aura! Such an elegant outfit, why does it look so petty on you?”

Though eager to sell the clothes, the manager couldn’t honestly deny, ”It’s because this gentleman has such a strong presence that wearing it makes it seem a bit out of place!”

Ye Anxin nodded and asked, ”Do you have other styles that might better match Uncle’s aura?”

The manager shook her head, honestly replying, ”This is already our most expensive and best-selling outfit. If this doesn’t fit, then I’m afraid others will be even less suitable! Or maybe...?”

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin’s eyes lit up and quickly asked, ”Or what?”

The manager thought for a while and suggested, ”Or there’s a black version you could try! Black is mysterious and gives off a mature and composed vibe; it might suit this gentleman!”

”No need! All of Uncle’s clothes are black, so no black!” Ye Anxin shook her head, disappointedly saying, ”Then we can only look elsewhere. We have time, and with a whole afternoon, we should find something satisfactory!”

”Uh-huh!” The manager nodded, smiling as she saw Ye Anxin and Mu Beiting out of the store.

Ye Anxin, holding Mu Beiting’s arm while shopping, curiously asked, ”Uncle, where do you usually buy your clothes? Maybe we should check there; you might find something suitable?”

Mu Beiting glanced at her and truthfully replied, ”My clothes are custom-designed and made by a dedicated Italian designer. They visit the villa at a set time each year to make a few new outfits for me.”

Ye Anxin realized and nodded, asking, ”No wonder they’re such a perfect fit! To design such beautiful clothes, they must be very famous designers, right?”

Mu Beiting pressed his lips together without answering.

Ye Anxin didn’t probe further and, by chance, glimpsed through a store window at a mannequin wearing a dark red mid-length trench coat. Unable to look away, she pulled Mu Beiting in. She directly asked the salesperson to bring out the exact same outfit for Mu Beiting to try on.

Mu Beiting frowned at the trench coat, ”I never wear long tops! Especially in red.”

Ye Anxin stuffed the trench coat into his arms, ”Give it a try; it’s because you never wear it that we should change it up!”

Mu Beiting glanced at her, ultimately picking up the trench coat and heading to the fitting room.

While Mu Beiting was trying on the clothes, Ye Anxin casually browsed through the store’s other clothes! When her gaze returned to the fitting room, she noticed the store clerks whispering and pointing at them from a distance.

Although she couldn’t hear what they were saying, Ye Anxin could guess from their expressions! Whatever they were discussing surely involved Mu Beiting.

Ye Anxin didn’t mind, smiling slightly, and seeing that Mu Beiting hadn’t come out for a while, she walked to the fitting room door and knocked, ”Uncle, are you done trying?”

Mu Beiting remained silent, and after a while, the door to the fitting room finally opened.

The mid-length trench coat, regardless of its length, width, or color, looked as if it was tailored for Mu Beiting! Wearing it, he appeared not only with great presence but also with less coldness and more warmth.

Ye Anxin looked at the trench coat, nodding repeatedly, sincerely saying, ”It’s beautiful, really beautiful, this coat looks like it was made just for you; the size, color, and style suit you perfectly!”

Mu Beiting raised an eyebrow, ”Really good?”

”Of course, would I ever deceive Uncle!” Ye Anxin nodded, without hesitation telling the salesperson, ”Miss, we’ll take this! Pack up the clothes we brought in; we’ll wear this one out!”

The salesperson quickly approached, ”Yes, yes! Will it be by card or cash?”

Ye Anxin handed the clothes that Mu Beiting had been wearing to the salesperson to pack, then went with Mu Beiting to the counter.

Mu Beiting, without any hesitation, pulled out his wallet and handed his black card to the salesperson.

The salesperson was about to take it but was stopped by Ye Anxin, ”No, I’ll pay!”

”You?” Mu Beiting was obviously surprised!

”Of course!” Ye Anxin nodded, hurriedly taking out her credit card, ”Since I picked out the clothes, it’s only right for me to pay! Consider it a gift for Uncle! After knowing Uncle for so long, I’ve never bought anything for you!”

Mu Beiting’s eyes flickered, lips pressed tightly, but said nothing; he still put away the black card.

”Miss, please use mine!” Ye Anxin sweetly smiled, pushing her credit card slightly over the counter.

The salesperson nodded, handing the shopping slip to Ye Anxin, ”Miss, please check. If everything is okay, I’ll finalize the payment!”

Ye Anxin took the shopping slip, glanced down, and upon seeing the numbers, almost choked on her own saliva.
