Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Has He Taken a Fancy to You?

Huo Junmo shook his head, ”No, it tastes great. Although it’s just homemade food, it has a unique flavor! I really like it!”

Hearing this, Ye Anxin squinted her eyes and smiled gently, saying, ”Mr. Huo, don’t be polite, eat more!”

Huo Junmo shook his head again, ”I’m full! I need to go to the restroom!”

”The restroom is to the right at the back. Do you need me to show you the way?” she said, hurriedly putting down her bowl and chopsticks.

”No need, I can go by myself! You all take your time eating, I’ll be right back!” Huo Junmo stood up with a smile and headed to the restroom behind Ye Anxin.

Once Huo Junmo left, Ling Yueyue quickly grabbed Ye Anxin’s arm, leaned over and asked, ”Hey, Ye Anxin, be honest with me, is there really nothing between you and Mr. Huo?”

Ye Anxin rolled her eyes dramatically and affirmed, ”Of course not. I’ve only met him three times, and today makes it the fourth! Do you think I’m some ancient beauty like Diao Chan or Xi Shi? That such an outstanding man would fall for me at first sight?”

Hearing this, Ling Yueyue exaggeratedly glanced over Ye Anxin from head to toe and nodded seriously, ”You’re right, looks-wise, you’re not as pretty as I am, so it’s definitely impossible for him to fall for you at first sight!”

”Exactly! Alright, stop chattering and hurry up and eat! Seriously, can’t eating shut your mouth?” Ye Anxin gave her a look, too lazy to deal with her, and lowered her head to start eating.

Ling Yueyue tilted her head, thinking about it, agreed that Ye Anxin made sense, and seeing how polite the two were, they didn’t seem like a couple, so she didn’t bother thinking about it anymore and continued eating.

Ling Yueyue and Ye Anxin practically wolfed down their food, and just as they were finishing, Huo Junmo returned from the restroom.

Ye Anxin glanced at him and said, ”We’re full, let’s pay and leave! I need to get back to school to study!”

”Okay, let’s go!” Huo Junmo agreed, nodded, and stood up first.

”Boss, check please!” Ye Anxin turned around, waving to the busy shop owner.

Huo Junmo laughed, ”No need, I’ve already paid the bill, let’s go!”

Ye Anxin stared at him blankly, feeling frustrated, ”Ah... I said I’d treat you, why did you pay?”

Huo Junmo continued to smile warmly, ”Next time, next time it’s your treat. This time, let me pay!”

”But...!” Ye Anxin hesitated, looking at him, unsure of what to do.

”Let’s go!” Huo Junmo said, gesturing for Ye Anxin to lead the way.

”Let’s go! It’s already paid for, what else can you do?” Ling Yueyue whispered in Ye Anxin’s ear, pulling the slightly frustrated Ye Anxin to stand up and leave alongside Huo Junmo.

Out of politeness, Ling Yueyue and Ye Anxin accompanied Huo Junmo to the parking lot.

Before getting into the car, Huo Junmo suddenly said, ”Miss Ye, I wonder what time you finish school in the afternoon? If you’re free tonight, we could grab dinner together, just to return the favor!”

”Can’t do tonight, I have plans!” Ye Anxin almost instinctively shook her head and declined.

Thinking about how she had just barely smoothed things over with Mu Beiting yesterday, she dared not upset him again!

”Alright, I’m available anytime, whenever Miss Ye is free, I’m at your service!” He said, waving to Ye Anxin before getting into his car and driving away.

Watching Huo Junmo’s car disappear, Ling Yueyue nudged Ye Anxin’s arm mischievously, ”You said he’s not interested, but I think he’s definitely into you!”

Ye Anxin gave her an annoyed look and, not wanting to respond, turned and walked straight towards the school.
