Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 57: Chapter 57: A Stark Contrast

Mu Beiting impatiently raised his head and said sharply, ”Don’t you understand my words?”

”Yes!” Although Pete was puzzled, he didn’t dare to say anything more. He nodded, just about to leave when his phone suddenly chimed.

Pete took out his phone for a glance and froze when he saw the text from Ye Anxin. Then he handed the phone to Mu Beiting, ”President, a message from your wife. She instructed me to make sure you get a portion of black fish soup!”

Mu Beiting cast a glance at the text on the phone, his eyes flickered slightly, and after a long pause, he said, ”Then go get one!”

”Yes!” Pete was overjoyed at the words, quickly put away his phone, and left.

By the time he came back with the takeout, half an hour had already passed!

Mu Beiting frowned as he looked at the black fish soup Pete brought from outside, he leaned in for a sniff, and his frown deepened instantly.

Seeing Mu Beiting not touching it for a long time, Pete smiled and said, ”President, this is made by the head chef of their shop, give it a try, it’s quite good!”

Mu Beiting picked up a spoon and took a sip. But before he could swallow it, he spat it all out.

Pete immediately handed over a napkin, and Mu Beiting carefully wiped his mouth and the hand that got splashed with soup, but could still feel the strong fishy smell!

”Throw it away!” Mu Beiting irritably handed the soup back to Pete and stood up to go to the bathroom alone.

Judy took a sneak peek and saw that Mu Beiting was desperately brushing his teeth inside, also washing his hands again and again with soap.

Judy withdrew her gaze, and asked puzzled, ”What’s going on? Didn’t they say it was made by the head chef?”

Pete shook his head at the still steaming fish soup in his hand, and said perplexedly, ”It was made by the head chef! After it was done, I even tasted it specifically, it was pretty good! Very fresh, very fragrant!”

Upon hearing this, Judy had a bad premonition in her heart, ”It’s made by a professional chef, it should taste better than what the wife makes, right? Why did the president have such a reaction?”

”Forget it, since the president won’t eat it, we might as well throw it away! It’s just that it’ll waste the goodwill of the wife!” Pete shook his head helplessly, having no choice but to go out and dump the soup in the trash.

When he came back in, Mu Beiting had just come out from the bathroom! He also lost the appetite for lunch and continued to bury himself in work.

After school, Ye Anxin came to the office.

As she entered the office, she happened to run into Li Lin, who teaches humanities English! Teacher Li is twenty-five years old, of average appearance, slightly short in stature, with smooth shoulder-length short hair, and always wearing an aloof, unapproachable expression on her face.

Seeing her, Ye Anxin greeted her politely, ”Teacher Li!”

Li Lin glanced at her arrogantly, and originally intended to leave, but upon seeing her, she turned back into the office.

Ye Anxin, indifferent to her disdainful attitude, raised her eyebrows and walked directly to Su Yichen’s desk, ”Professor Su, I wonder why you called me here?”

Su Yichen looked up at Ye Anxin, handed the red envelope on the desk to her, and said softly, ”This is the scholarship for your ranking in this term’s finals, take it!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin’s eyes lit up suddenly. She happily took the red envelope, ”Thank you, Professor! Thank you, Professor!”

Seeing Ye Anxin’s bright and joyful smile, Su Yichen’s eyes became fascinated, ”Your class did well in this mid-term exam, ranking first in the whole grade. To reward you, this weekend we’ll go on a field trip! As for the location, discuss it among yourselves and let me know when you decide!”
