Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 67: Chapter 67: Uncle, I Love You to Death

Mu Beiting remained silent, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.

Seeing that Mu Beiting started to waver, Ye Anxin continued to plead persistently, ”Uncle, I’m begging you like this, please agree! I really don’t want the housekeeper to be fired because of me; my conscience would never be at peace!”

Mu Beiting stared at Ye Anxin’s small face for quite a while. Then his thin lips parted slightly, and he finally spoke, ”Deduct one month’s salary! If it happens again, he’ll be fired directly!”

”Uncle, the housekeeper really did nothing wrong; there’s no need to punish him! He’s of such an old age and has to make money to support his family; it’s really not easy for him. If you deduct a month’s salary, how will his family manage this month? Uncle, uncle...!” Ye Anxin shook Mu Beiting’s arm more vigorously, her coquettish tone and delicate voice making Pete at the side break out in goosebumps, but making Mu Beiting’s bones melt.

Mu Beiting didn’t respond again, staring slightly dazed at Ye Anxin’s small face.

”Uncle, uncle...!” Ye Anxin stopped saying anything, just kept calling him and shaking his arm.

Unable to resist her persistent cajoling, Mu Beiting finally relented, ”Just this once; don’t let it happen again!”

”Oh yeah... that’s great, Uncle, you’re so good!” Hearing this, Ye Anxin jumped up joyfully.

Mu Beiting looked at the arm that had just been hugged by Ye Anxin, now empty, and his eyes darkened, his thin lips pressing into a line.

”Uncle, I love you to death!” Ye Anxin didn’t expect things to be resolved so quickly. In her excitement, she forgot Pete was present and directly hugged Mu Beiting’s neck, planting a big kiss on his face. Then she immediately let go and continued to dance around happily.

At the moment Ye Anxin kissed Mu Beiting’s handsome face, his body suddenly stiffened, his face flushing a shade of crimson, and he awkwardly turned his head aside.

Ye Anxin didn’t notice his unusual reaction at all, but Pete on the side caught his expression completely, his mouth wide open and eyes bulging, almost popping out of his sockets.

”I’m going to call home and tell the housekeeper he doesn’t need to leave!” Ye Anxin took out her phone from her jeans pocket, speaking as she dialed a number at home.

The housekeeper, who was sitting in the villa sighing, picked up the phone instinctively when it rang. But after hearing what Ye Anxin said on the phone that day, he froze, taking a long time to react.

Hearing no response from the other end for a long time, Ye Anxin asked uncertainly, ”Housekeeper, are you listening to me?”

Tears welled up in the housekeeper’s eyes as he choked up and asked, ”Madam, is this true?”

Ye Anxin replied with a smile, ”Of course, would I lie to you?”

”Thank you, Madam, thank you!” The housekeeper couldn’t believe that Mu Beiting really revoked the decision! The usually decisive and honest sir really changed his mind and decided not to fire him! This was all thanks to Madam; from now on, he must serve her well to repay her kindness.

”No need to thank me! I’ll hang up now!” Ye Anxin squinted her eyes and smiled slightly, hanging up after receiving thanks from the housekeeper multiple times.

Returning the phone to her pocket, Ye Anxin happily said, ”Uncle, the housekeeper is so happy to hear you’re not firing him!”

Mu Beiting pressed his thin lips tightly, not responding.

Pete didn’t want to continue being the third wheel, so he said, ”Boss, I’m going outside to make a call. Just shout if you need anything!”
