Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 48: Chapter 48: In a Bad Mood

Pete hesitated and said, ”But the CEO’s injury?”

Mu Beiting glanced at him coldly and said, ”It’s just an arm injury, it’s not like I’m going to die!”

Pete lowered his eyes and said nothing, quietly placing a small table on Mu Beiting’s hospital bed and then moving the documents over.

Mu Beiting buried himself in work, completely unaware that Ye Anxin was hiding outside the door, secretly watching him.

Ye Anxin didn’t know how long she had been watching, she only felt her legs go numb from squatting and her neck aching, which finally made her turn away.

In the afternoon, Ye Anxin personally bought a black fish, personally killed it, then cooked the soup herself and brought it to Mu Beiting.

However, when she stood at the entrance of the inpatient department, she hesitated.

At noon, Yan Qinghan was there, so she could bring the soup to Mu Beiting. But now, how should she deliver the soup to Mu Beiting?

Ye Anxin stood at the entrance of the inpatient department for a while, just about to call Pete, when she saw a familiar figure heading inside.

Ye Anxin’s eyes lit up instantly, and she ran to block Judy’s path.

”Madam?” Judy was taken aback by Ye Anxin’s sudden appearance.

Ye Anxin handed the insulated lunchbox she was holding to Judy and smiled, ”Judy, this is the black fish soup I made for Uncle. It’s good for his wound. Please take it up to him, and make sure you watch him drink it!”

Judy frowned at the lunchbox Ye Anxin handed over, displeased, ”Madam, don’t you know that the CEO hates eating fish?”

Ye Anxin shook her head, puzzled, ”He didn’t seem to mind. He finished everything I made for him at noon!”

Hearing this, Judy’s face turned pale with disbelief, ”What did you say?”

”Take it up to Uncle, he will definitely drink it! I’m off now, bye!” Ye Anxin directly stuffed the lunchbox into Judy’s arms, leaving her no chance to refuse and turned to leave.

Judy looked at the lunchbox in her arms, her face alternating between green and white, looking extremely displeased.

She really wanted to throw the lunchbox in the trash, but... Ye Anxin is the woman of her superior, and if the truth gets out one day, regardless of whether the CEO likes this woman or not, it would be a great disrespect, and such a charge she could not bear.

After a painful inner struggle, Judy finally brought the fish soup to Mu Beiting, ”CEO, madam asked me to bring this up for you!”

Judy, although she didn’t like Ye Anxin and wasn’t respectful towards her, completely changed in front of Mu Beiting.

Without lifting his head, Mu Beiting asked, ”Where is she?”

Judy answered truthfully, ”Madam left!”

Mu Beiting’s grip on his pen tightened, and he slowly raised his head, his sharp eyes staring at Judy for a long time, until Judy felt a chill in her heart. Then he threw the pen onto the documents in front of him, his lips tightly pressed together, his face clouded, clearly in a bad mood.

Pete saw that Mu Beiting had been fine just a moment ago and suddenly was angry. He bravely and tentatively asked Judy, ”Where did you meet the madam?”

Judy replied, ”At the entrance of the inpatient department.”

Seeing Mu Beiting didn’t stop him, Pete grew bolder and continued to ask, ”Did the madam leave after giving this to you? Didn’t she say she wanted to come up and see the CEO?”

Judy nodded, ”Yes, I saw the madam leaving with my own eyes!”

Pete gave Judy a look when Mu Beiting wasn’t looking, signaling her to continue, ”Did the madam say anything? Like when she’s coming to see the CEO?”
