Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 44: Chapter 44: He Won’t Die

”You...!” For a moment, Ye Anxin was at a loss for words, blocked by him, and only after a long time did she furiously say, ”He’s your good brother, your good brother is injured, how come you don’t care at all?”

”Oh, he’s not dying! Don’t worry, sis-in-law, I’ll go check on him right now and call you later! Bye bye.” After finishing, without waiting for Ye Anxin’s reaction, he directly hung up the phone.

Looking at her phone, Ye Anxin was so angry she couldn’t speak for a while before making another call to Pete.

Fortunately, she had saved Pete’s phone number when he texted her last time! Yan Qinghan is utterly unreliable, rather than waiting for his call, she’d better ask someone else.

The phone rang for a long time before being answered, but it was not Pete’s voice that came through that day, instead, it was a vaguely familiar woman’s voice, ”Hello...!”

Ye Anxin thought she had dialed the wrong number, and after a long pause, she tentatively asked, ”Is this Pete’s phone?”

The woman’s voice on the other end coldly replied, ”Madam, this is Pete’s phone!”

Ye Anxin uncertainly asked, ”You... are you Judy?”

”Yes!” The woman’s voice on the phone grew colder and more indifferent, without a shred of respect for Ye Anxin, instead carrying a thick sense of impatience.

At this moment, Ye Anxin couldn’t care less about Judy’s attitude and anxiously asked, ”Are you at the hospital now? Which hospital are you at? How is Uncle doing? I want to see him.”

”The President has said he doesn’t want to see Madam. Madam doesn’t need to come!” Judy coldly dropped the words and, without waiting for Ye Anxin’s reaction, directly hung up the phone.

Just as Judy had hung up the phone, Pete walked out of the restroom, saw her holding his phone, frowned slightly, and looked toward the phone.

Judy explained while holding the phone, ”You left your phone in the ward just now, the President asked me to bring it to you.”

”Did someone call me just now?” Although it was phrased as a question, it was filled with certainty.

Judy spoke bluntly, ”Madam called just now!”

Pete asked, ”What did Madam say?”

Judy replied, ”Madam said she wanted to come to the hospital to see the President! But I declined her!”

”You...!” Pete was about to say something but Judy quickly said, ”This was the President’s order, he personally instructed just now that besides the two of us and President Yan, no one else is allowed to be informed of his whereabouts!”

Since Judy had put it that way, Pete didn’t say anything further, took the phone from Judy’s hand, put it in his pocket, and refrained from speaking any more.

On the other side, Ye Anxin sat on the couch, listening to the dial tone on the other end, although her mind was still worried about Mu Beiting’s safety, she also breathed a sigh of relief.

Since Mu Beiting can talk, it proves that he is now out of danger!

He got hurt for her sake, no matter what, she must go see him!

Thinking of this, Ye Anxin quickly got off the couch, did a quick freshen-up, and then headed out with her backpack.

Half an hour later, Ye Anxin had bought a fish, personally killed it, cleaned it, cut it up, tossed it into boiling water, and before long, a rich fish aroma wafted through the air.

After tasting the flavor, she scooped the fish soup into a thermal lunchbox and then made a call to Yan Qinghan.

Yan Qinghan, at that moment in Mu Beiting’s ward, upon seeing Ye Anxin’s call coming in, glanced at Mu Beiting, intentionally saying, ”It’s sis-in-law’s call, you say, should I answer it?”
