Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Elevator Incident

”But this is the Huo Tian Group! Can we just walk in like that? We might get kicked out as soon as we enter!” Ye Anxin took a glance at the Huo Tian Group building. It had at least thirty floors, with doormen outside the entrance, a reception desk inside, and some Huo Tian employees going in and out. She felt that if the two of them just went in like that, they would definitely get thrown out.

”I’m so adorable, how could they bear to kick me out! Since you’re afraid, just follow behind me!” Saying this, he grabbed Ye Anxin’s hand, ignoring her objections, and directly pulled her into the main entrance of the Huo Tian Group.

The doorman at the entrance saw him, grinned, and was about to bow and greet him, but was glared back by a look from him.

A flamboyantly dressed woman at the front desk saw him, her eyes immediately shining with excitement, and she walked over with a smile, waving at him. Huo Jiantian pretended not to see them and went straight to the CEO’s exclusive elevator.

Ye Anxin followed behind Huo Jiantian, looking at the few receptionists standing there with awkward expressions, and tentatively asked, ”Tiantian, it seems like they know you?”

Huo Jiantian got into the elevator, pressed the floor button, and said matter-of-factly, ”My dad works here. I come here to see him whenever I have time, so they definitely know me!”

Ye Anxin stood outside the elevator, hesitating, ”Since they all know you, it shows you definitely won’t get lost here! In that case, I’ll just head back to school!”

Huo Jiantian put his little hands on his hips, speaking like a little grown-up, ”Ah, you’re such a naggy woman! Since you’re already here, you have to let my dad personally thank you! Otherwise... wouldn’t it make me seem so ungrateful?”

”No need! I didn’t bring you here just to get thanked by your dad!” Ye Anxin quickly waved her hand and turned around, ready to leave.

Unfortunately, as soon as she took two steps, she heard Huo Jiantian’s woeful and pitiful voice coming from the elevator, ”Sigh... just go if you want to leave! Anyway, I’m just a fatherless, loveless kid! Dad’s busy working every day and doesn’t have time for me, mom died early, I don’t even know what she looked like! Poor me, alone since childhood... off you go! Even though elevator accidents are quite common nowadays, I’m sure I’m lucky and won’t encounter one, and even if I do, it won’t be your concern. They’ll surely find someone to fix it right away, I’m not scared being trapped in the elevator alone... I’m already used to it...!”

The more he spoke, the more woeful his tone became, making it seem as if Ye Anxin would be some unforgivable villain if she didn’t accompany him upstairs.

”Alright! I’ll take you up! Since we’re already here, I might as well go a bit further!” Eventually, Ye Anxin gave in and got into the elevator.

When Ye Anxin wasn’t paying attention, Huo Jiantian smiled slightly, a bit of triumphant smugness flashing in his eyes.

The elevator ascended, directly reaching the top floor.

Previously, all of Ye Anxin’s attention was on Huo Jiantian; she hadn’t noticed which floor he pressed. It was only after they got off the elevator that Ye Anxin realized they had reached the top floor of the Huo Tian Group building.

If she remembered correctly, the top floor of any company was usually the office of the company’s highest leader.

Now that he was on the top floor of the Huo Tian Group, it could either be because this little rascal, Huo Jiantian, made a mistake, or because the dad he mentioned was actually the highest leader of the Huo Tian Group.
