Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Uncle, Let’s Get Married

The man was tall, his smooth and fair face showing sharp, cold handsomeness; with a handsome bridge of the nose, deep dark eyes exuding a charming sheen; under seemingly calm eyes lay a sharp gaze like an eagle’s, his thick eyebrows, and perfect lips all flaunting nobility and elegance.

He—wasn’t he Mu Rufeng’s uncle, six years older, and the current head of the Mu Group, Mu Beiting?

To the outside world, Mu Beiting was a mysterious figure; people only knew he was thirty years old this year, and that he was not born to Mu Family’s previous head Mu Huajian’s legitimate wife. As to whose belly he came from, nobody knew! Because Mu Huajian protected him well, no matter how thoroughly outsiders investigated, they couldn’t find a trace of him, as if he appeared out of nowhere.

Ten years ago, he took over the Mu Group, becoming the President of the Mu Group, reviving nearly bankrupt Mu Group, making it leap to become the leading business in Jin City.

Legend has it, he is ruthless, cold-blooded, and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals! Just these legends alone could not be fully told even in ten nights! It’s just that all these are limited to legends, as for what the truth is, Ye Anxin didn’t know.

She met this uncle when she was dating Mu Rufeng, and would always remember that the first time she saw him was last July, in the sweltering summer heat, sitting opposite him. Despite the dining table between them, she felt like she was in an ice cave, shivering from the cold.

Since then, she has developed an inexplicable sense of fear towards this man! Not only her, but everyone in the Mu Family was also jittery around him, with such cautiousness, as if he were an invincible king overlooking all beings, and they were nothing more than a humble speck of dust before him.

Ye Anxin never expected to run into Mu Beiting here. Looking at Mu Beiting, a wicked thought suddenly rose in her mind.

Standing at the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau, Mu Beiting sensed Ye Anxin’s gaze on him. He merely glanced lightly at Ye Anxin, then scanned the entrance, lowered his head to glance at his watch, and a trace of impatience emerged in his cold eyes devoid of any warmth as he was about to turn and leave.

Ye Anxin didn’t want him to leave and grabbed his arm without thinking, blurting out: ”Uncle... no, Mu Beiting... ah, that’s not right... uh...” Ye Anxin changed the form of address several times, but nothing felt right! Calling him uncle seemed off in terms of seniority, addressing him as Mu Beiting felt... Ye Anxin pondered and finally thought of a fitting and straightforward term, ”Mister, let’s get married? I don’t want anything, no ceremony, no betrothal gifts, I just want to marry you!”

Mu Beiting raised an eyebrow, his thin lips slowly curved into an attractive arc, and a hint of mockery flashed in his eyes, cold as eternal ice, ”Why should I marry you?”

Ye Anxin almost didn’t think, the words escaped her lips without hesitation, ”Just because I’m a woman, you’re a man, do you plan to marry a man if not a woman? Besides, we’re in the same boat today, you got stood up by a woman, and I was stood up by a man, since we’re already here, why waste the trip?”

As Ye Anxin spoke these words to Mu Beiting, all her thoughts were focused on how to get back at Mu Rufeng and Xie Yunlu, that pair of scumbags.

Since they wouldn’t let her live well, then neither should they! Marrying someone, it doesn’t matter who, marrying Mu Rufeng’s uncle fits well, living under the same roof, making those two call her aunt every day, if it doesn’t vex them to death, it’ll make them uneasy.
