Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 35: Chapter 35: Standing Up for Justice

”Waa waa... I won’t dare anymore, I won’t dare anymore...” Huo Jiantian squeezed his already tearless eyes hard, and tears flowed down like a torrent, looking as pitiful as one can be.

Regardless of how heartbreakingly he cried, Huo Junmo wasn’t the least bit soft-hearted, each hit harder than the last.

”Waa waa... A child without a mother is truly pitiful. Mom, why did you die so early! Leaving me alone in this world, so lonely and helpless. Had I known this, you should’ve taken me with you back then... waa waa... Dad doesn’t like me... he hates me... he wants to beat me to death...!” Huo Jiantian cried even more miserably!

This caused Ye Anxin, who originally did not intend to meddle, to suddenly be overwhelmed with sympathy. She rushed over and snatched Huo Jiantian from Huo Junmo’s ’devilish grasp’.

Ye Anxin crouched on the ground holding Huo Jiantian, wiping his tears while angrily accusing, ”Hey... how can you be like this? He’s your own son, do you really want to beat him to death? He’s still young, he just needs proper guidance, how can you hit him like this? This is utterly outrageous!”

”There’s no need for you to meddle in this, get out right now!” As Huo Junmo spoke, he glanced at Ye Anxin. Upon seeing her, the anger in his eyes disappeared and was replaced by surprise.

Ye Anxin stood up holding Huo Jiantian, indignantly saying, ”Mr. Huo, even though Tiantian wandering off was wrong, hitting a child is your fault! Moreover, Tiantian was born without a mother, he’s so pitiful. Not only shouldn’t you hit him, but you should also love him more, giving him all the maternal love he didn’t get from his mom! A child’s heart is very fragile, if you keep hitting him, it’ll cause great damage to his young heart! If you hit him again, believe me, I’ll call the police!”

Ye Anxin was really angry, and said a lot in one breath!

Though usually, she doesn’t like to interfere, the little guy cried so sorrowfully just now, it made her heart ache.

Huo Junmo just watched her little mouth open and close silently, without saying a word.

While Ye Anxin was accusing Huo Junmo, Huo Jiantian took advantage of her inattention, made a funny face at Huo Junmo, and lifted his chin triumphantly, looking extremely cheeky.

Ye Anxin caressed Huo Jiantian’s tear-streaked little face, asking with concern, ”Tiantian, does it still hurt? Tell sister, and I’ll take you to see a doctor.”

Huo Jiantian shook his head, pouted, and said with a quiver, ”Sister, it doesn’t hurt anymore! He’s my dad, I made a mistake and he should hit me. Please don’t blame my dad, and don’t call the police to arrest him!”

Upon hearing this, the corners of Huo Junmo’s mouth and eyes couldn’t help but twitch twice.

Ye Anxin asked again reassuringly, ”It really doesn’t hurt?”

Huo Jiantian nodded, affirmatively responding, ”It really doesn’t hurt!”

”That’s good then!” Ye Anxin finally breathed a sigh of relief, carefully placing him on the ground, walked up to Huo Junmo, and said with disdain, ”Mr. Huo, did you see that? Tiantian considers you the closest person to him? When he heard I was going to call the police, he was so concerned about you? Such an obedient and sensible child, you shouldn’t hit him anymore in the future! Otherwise, you’ll definitely regret it!”

Huo Junmo didn’t respond, just kept looking at her.

Seeing his lack of response, Ye Anxin’s tone involuntarily intensified, ”Did you hear me or not?”

After a long pause, Huo Junmo finally nodded stiffly.

The moment he nodded, it was very clear to see Huo Jiantian behind Ye Anxin cheering and clapping, almost jumping for joy.
