The Comeback of the Cannon-Fodder Supporting Actress

Chapter 149: Chapter 149: Slapping the Fake Heiress 50

”You’re just going to... just drive Mingzhu away like this?”

Mrs. Liu clearly could not accept this reality.

She rushed over, wanting to reason with Song Ruyi.

But Zhao Han came this time fully prepared; he brought many bodyguards with him.

Those burly bodyguards took their positions so firmly that Mrs. Liu couldn’t get anywhere near Song Ruyi.

Zhao Han still had a friendly expression on his face: ”If you accept it, we can talk things over, if not, you can go to court. I won’t interfere. Since you have come, just take Mingzhu away.”

Zhao Mingzhu now realized that when Zhao Han said she should leave, he was not joking; he was serious.

She really panicked.

”I won’t leave, dad, I won’t leave, I’ll be good from now on, I won’t leave...”

Mr. Liu also said, ”What can we do if we don’t take her away? You can’t just throw her out on the street, can you?”

Zhao Han’s face turned stern at once.

He took out those documents and said, ”If you make a fuss, I’ll sue you for illegal trafficking of children.”

He looked through the documents with a smile: ”When Mingzhu first contacted you, she was not yet twelve years old, still a child. Anning and Mingzhu were born on the same day, so naturally, Anning was also under twelve. But by then, you all knew Anning was not your biological child, yet instead of letting her return to the Zhao Family, you escalated the abuse. If I take these to the police, there’s a good chance you could end up in prison.”

Mr. Liu snatched the documents, flipping through them getting more upset by the page.

”You... you actually investigated Mingzhu?”

”We were investigating your family, and we found this.”

Zhao Han chuckled: ”After all, you didn’t treat Anning well, I had to figure out why that was.”

Mr. Liu’s face turned ashen.

He gritted his teeth: ”Fine, we’ll take Mingzhu away.”

The Liu Family agreed, and Zhao Han stood up, ready to handle the household registration.

However, Zhao Mingzhu was determinedly refusing to leave, crying desperately and sorrowfully.

But now, Song Ruyi was utterly disappointed in her, no matter how desperately she cried, Song Ruyi would not change her mind.

Zhao Mingzhu not even twelve yet, had been secretly contacting the Liu Family, such depth of scheming, most people could not match. Song Ruyi was afraid of leaving Zhao Mingzhu behind to further harm Anning and Zhao Mingrui.

No matter how much she cared for Zhao Mingzhu, she was only an adopted daughter, and could not compare to her own children.

In the end, Zhao Mingzhu was dragged by the bodyguards and stuffed into the car.

Soon, the two families arrived at the household registration office, Zhao Han had already made the arrangements, and the procedure went very smoothly.

Soon, Zhao Mingzhu’s registration was removed from the Zhao family’s household registration book, and in the Capital, a certificate was issued, just bring it to the Liu family’s local office to process the household registration.

From then on, Zhao Mingzhu could only be called Liu Mingzhu.

Zhao Han, in a very good mood, left with Song Ruyi, leaving Mingzhu to the Liu family.

After Zhao Han and his wife left, Mr. Liu turned around and slapped the weeping Liu Mingzhu across the face.

He hit her especially hard, almost causing Liu Mingzhu to fall over.

Her delicate cheek quickly became red and swollen.

Liu Mingzhu covered her face, hiding the disgust and hatred in her eyes, and sobbed with her head lowered.

”Crying, what’s there to cry about? Such bad luck.”

Mr. Liu scolded: ”Aren’t you very capable? Why didn’t you stay with the Zhao Family? If you’re so capable, you shouldn’t have let yourself be kicked out. You good-for-nothing, you can’t do anything right, only create problems... There went all the money.”

Mrs. Liu also felt particularly regretful.

She didn’t plead for Liu Mingzhu, but instead joined in rebuking her: ”If you hadn’t insisted on us coming to the Capital, we wouldn’t have ended up in such a plight. It’s all because of your foolishness. Stop crying now.”

Liu Mingzhu could only hold back her tears and speak softly and gently to Mrs. Liu: ”Mom, it’s my fault. I didn’t think things through, which led to the current situation. What should we do from now on?”

”What else can we do?”

Mr. Liu was extremely annoyed: ”We need to return home immediately. Everything is expensive here in the Capital, we don’t have the money to stay any longer.”

Mrs. Liu ordered Liu Mingzhu: ”Hurry up and book train tickets for us. We’re going home today.”

However, Liu Qing saw a photo of the specialty dishes displayed at the entrance of a nearby restaurant.

He made a fuss and insisted on going in to eat.

Mr. Liu then scolded Liu Mingzhu: ”It’s all your fault. If you hadn’t cried, Qingqing wouldn’t have stirred up trouble. Now go take Qingqing out to eat right away.”

The implication was that Liu Mingzhu had to pay.

After all, when they were handling the residence registration, Mr. Liu heard that Zhao Han said they would allow Liu Mingzhu to take the jewelry bought for her when she left, and they even left a set of apartment for her in the Capital.

Thinking that Liu Mingzhu used to be considered as the Zhao Family’s daughter and over the years she must have saved a considerable amount of money, at least her allowance wasn’t negligible, he became very insistent on squeezing every penny out of Liu Mingzhu.

But Liu Mingzhu no longer wanted to spend money on the Liu Family.

Previously, she had a fixed monthly allowance and for major purchases, the family paid, so she could save a lot. Giving some to the Liu Family didn’t bother her.

But now, without any income and foreseeing that her savings wouldn’t last long, she had to be frugal. She wasn’t willing to spend on Liu Qing.

”I...”

Liu Mingzhu glanced at Mr. Liu: ”I don’t have much money left. Most of the allowance I had saved, I’ve given to you.”

Mr. Liu got even angrier, raising his hand to hit Liu Mingzhu again.

Liu Mingzhu hastily dodged: ”Dad, I’m telling the truth. The Zhao Family is actually quite frugal. They don’t encourage their children to spend lavishly, my allowance every month wasn’t much.”

Mr. Liu was still somewhat skeptical: ”Are you telling the truth?”

Liu Mingzhu quickly nodded: ”Everything I said is true, I wouldn’t lie to you.”

Then she added: ”In the past I had a supplementary card from the Zhao Family which I used for big purchases, but now I don’t have the supplementary card anymore. I... I don’t have any money.”

Mr. Liu had heard something about this; wealthy families would provide supplementary cards to their children with fixed spending limits.

He figured that now that Liu Mingzhu had been kicked out of the Zhao Family, they must have certainly taken back the supplementary card, or it would have been rendered useless even if they hadn’t.

He then actually believed Liu Mingzhu and told Mrs. Liu to bring the money and take Liu Mingzhu and Liu Qing to the restaurant to eat.

When the dishes were served and Mr. Liu, Mrs. Liu, and Liu Qing were preoccupied with their meal, Liu Mingzhu made the excuse that she needed to use the restroom and left.

She found a secluded place and took out her phone to call He Yang.

Once the call connected and Liu Mingzhu heard He Yang’s voice, she broke down crying.

”He Yang, what should I do? What should I do?”

Upon hearing Liu Mingzhu’s sobs, He Yang’s heart ached: ”Mingzhu, what’s wrong? Where are you? Did someone bully you?”

Liu Mingzhu sobbed quietly: ”I... My parents don’t want me anymore. Now that they have their own biological daughter, they don’t want me. They got the Liu Family to take me back, and I’ve already been removed from the household registration. You don’t know how cruel the people from the Liu Family are. As soon as my registration was moved, they hit me. He Yang, I don’t want to go with the Liu Family. I’m afraid if I go back with them, they might beat me to death, and there’s Liu Qing, he even said he’d sell me...”

Liu Mingzhu cried harder and harder.

She crouched on the ground, sobbing so intensely that her whole body shook.
