The Comeback of the Cannon-Fodder Supporting Actress

Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Slapping the Fake Heiress 32

Students from class twelve came quickly and left just as fast.

After voicing their support for Anning, they quickly retreated.

When Zhao Mingrui got home, he saw Zhao Han and Song Ruyi holding Anning in their arms, the three of them crying bitterly.

Anning looked especially heartbroken and distressed.

She cried incessantly.

And it wasn’t the kind of crying that was mindful of appearance, the aesthetically pleasing type.

Her face was covered in tears, crying heart-wrenchingly.

But such crying was more likely to touch people’s hearts.

At least Zhao Mingrui felt heartache seeing Anning cry like this.

He hadn’t spent much time with Anning, after all, this sister was only recognized a few days ago, but she was his sister, sharing the same parents and blood relation, a true sibling connected by bones and sinews.

”What happened to Anning?”

Zhao Mingrui carefully walked over wanting to comfort Anning, but was unsure how to proceed.

Anning had been crying for a long time, sobbing heavily: ”I always thought Dad and Mom definitely liked Zhao Mingzhu more, for the sake of our parents, I always wanted to yield a little, I endured her, gave in to her, maybe then our family would prosper, but...”

”Dad, Mom, I’m scared.”

Anning held Song Ruyi, her whole body trembling, her temperament is quite similar to my foster mother’s, both are very good at scheming secretly, just thinking about it makes me scared.

What happened?

Zhao Mingrui looked towards Zhao Han bewildered.

Zhao Han gave him a look, signaling him to stay calm and not rush.

After Anning calmed down, her eyes red, she looked at Zhao Han: ”Dad, I want to ask you for something.”

”Speak.”

Zhao Han’s mood seemed a bit down, his voice also a bit hoarse.

”I want to see a psychologist.”

Huh?

Zhao Han and Song Ruyi looked at Anning in surprise.

Anning’s expression was very firm: ”I can’t live in the shadow of the past forever, the last fifteen years were not good, but it should not affect the many years of my life ahead, I am doing well now, with the love of my parents, and so many friends defending me, I am happy, and I want to keep living well, the things of the past, I need to learn to let go.”

These words deeply moved Song Ruyi and Zhao Han.

They were shocked by their daughter’s willpower and liked that she had her own thoughts.

”I want to get better, to become even better.” At this time, Anning’s eyes carried a warm smile.

She walked over and hugged Song Ruyi, then embraced Zhao Han and Zhao Mingrui: ”I want to become your pride.”

This sentence instantly brought tears to Zhao Han and Song Ruyi.

Zhao Han firmly nodded: ”Okay, we’ll see a psychologist, Dad will find you the best doctor, mom and brother will accompany you, our Ningning will definitely get better.”

Song Ruyi, while crying and laughing, said: ”Ningning, you have always been our pride, you are really good, truly good.”

Zhao Mingrui still didn’t understand exactly what had happened.

But he was very happy that his sister could hug him.

The family of three comforted Anning until she finally calmed down.

Song Ruyi personally sent Anning upstairs to sleep.

Watching Anning fall asleep, covering her with a blanket, Song Ruyi then went downstairs.

In the living room, Zhao Han and Zhao Mingrui each occupied one side, both sitting on separate sofas.

Song Ruyi sat next to Zhao Han: ”I really didn’t expect Mingzhu to harbor such thoughts.”

Zhao Han pondered for a moment: ”She is still young, but she has already started to resent Ningning. If she grows older and experiences more, becoming more mature, who knows what she might do.”

Zhao Mingrui appeared to have been informed by Zhao Han about what had happened.

He was actually quite angry.

”I’ll go to the junior high section tomorrow, and I will reveal Zhao Mingzhu’s true identity in front of all the students in Second year class 1.”

This was the solution Zhao Mingrui could think of.

Of course, this method was quite harsh on Zhao Mingzhu.

After all, if Anning spoke the truth in class 1, the classmates might remain skeptical.

But it would be different if Zhao Mingrui spoke.

Zhao Mingrui also studied at the same school, but he was in the senior section, which was far from the junior section, so Anning had never seen him at school.

However, he had also attended junior high, and many students there knew him.

The students of Second year class 1 also knew he was Zhao Mingzhu’s brother.

If Zhao Mingrui personally stepped forward and clarified that Anning was his biological sister and Zhao Mingzhu was switched at birth, it would be a devastating blow to Zhao Mingzhu.

Song Ruyi clenched her teeth: ”I’m saying, Mingzhu called me several times before, always hinting that Ningning wasn’t studying well, not learning properly. Apparently, she had harbored those thoughts a long time ago.”

A cold glint flashed in her eyes: ”Let’s wait a few days, then take Ningning back to the old family home, introduce her to the relatives of the Zhao family, and when Ningning’s birthday comes, we’ll throw her a birthday party and formally introduce her to our family and friends.”

Zhao Han agreed with this proposal: ”Start preparing soon, Ningning’s birthday is coming up.”

Fear flickered in Song Ruyi’s eyes.

She looked at Zhao Han: ”Husband, I’m really scared now. We were all blinded before, and it was those kids who reminded us, making us realize. We’ve lived so long, yet none of us saw it clearly, that’s really living in vain.”

Zhao Han sighed: ”After all, she is the child we have raised for fifteen years, who we naturally love. How could we think so maliciously of her?”

He reached out and wrapped an arm around Song Ruyi’s shoulder: ”But the child named Xiao Yuan was really right. Our family doesn’t owe the Liu Family anything, why should we use our money to support their entire family? If they had treated Ningning well earlier, it would have been another matter, but... they nearly ruined Ningning.”

Zhao Mingrui, being younger, thought even more radically.

Thinking about the analysis Xiao Yuan shared, he felt that it was highly likely to come true.

If they continued to dote on Zhao Mingzhu, her thoughts might become even more malicious, and there’s no telling what she might do to Ningning.

Moreover, Zhao Mingrui knew that Zhao Han and Song Ruyi indeed planned to allocate some of the family estate to Zhao Mingzhu.

He initially agreed.

But now, Zhao Mingrui did not plan to agree anymore.

Why should they?

Why, after the Liu Family had harmed Ningning, should they still treat the Liu daughter kindly and divide many assets for her?

Are they to wait for Zhao Mingzhu to take the estate and bite back at them? Wait for Zhao Mingzhu to use their money to support those enemies?

Thinking of this, Zhao Mingrui felt suffocated.

Zhao Han felt suffocated too.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t bear to part with the money or didn’t want to give Zhao Mingzhu money.

Rather, he didn’t want the Liu Family to benefit.

He could foresee that giving money to Zhao Mingzhu would inevitably pull up those Liu Family people.

Even if Zhao Mingzhu wasn’t willing, as the biological parents of the biological Zhao Mingzhu, they only needed a few disturbances, and Zhao Mingzhu would be convinced.

If it really came to that, the people from Liu Family would really be living in his house, spending his money, hitting his daughter.

A situation like that is intolerable to anyone.
