Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

Early the next morning, Skye drove Pietro and Wanda to school.

By the time Orion Cross woke up and went downstairs, everyone else had already gone out. Only Invisible Woman Susan, who had not slept all night, was left in the kitchen frying eggs.

”After struggling with it all night, do you have a plan now? Are you going to find a high-tech company in this world and work as a researcher too?”

Orion Cross took a carton of milk from the refrigerator and sat down on the sofa in the living room.

”No. My ability still isn’t stable...”

Susan, who was frying eggs, shook her head with her back to Orion Cross.

If she went to work as a researcher in her current state, would she be researching others, or would others be researching her?

A sample with invisible DNA would absolutely make those researchers swarm toward her like bees.

Thinking of this, Susan could not help feeling a lingering fear, especially after she had been unable to sleep last night and had looked up the history of this world, only to find quite a few examples.

”Then are you planning to freeload here? Prices in New York aren’t low.”

Orion Cross raised an eyebrow and spoke.

”I... I can be your family’s chef.”

Susan still felt that going out to work now was too dangerous. The best choice was to stay here.

”Sorry, but the girl who opened the door yesterday is already working as my family’s chef and driver.”

Orion Cross spread his hands and spoke.

”I can... clean the house and help you wash clothes.”

Susan gritted her teeth and said it.

”To be honest, your ability is actually very suitable for becoming an agent, and I just so happen to know an intelligence organization.”

Orion Cross crossed his legs and looked at Susan, whose face was full of humiliation. ”But I know that organization is a complete mess inside. Since I’m temporarily a good person, I won’t introduce you to them.”

”Then I really have to thank you.”

”No need to thank me.”

Orion Cross glanced at his phone, then looked up at Susan. ”Your identity has already been settled, but you still need to be careful.”

”Why?”

Susan frowned and asked.

”I told you, that organization is a complete mess inside. There are a bunch of moles, comparable to the Winery. The information recorded about you probably won’t be hidden from those people.”

”So before you fully master your ability, it’s best not to leave this house.”

Orion Cross’s words were half true and half false. If the Hydra members inside S.H.I.E.L.D. learned of a special existence like Invisible Woman, they really would have thoughts of capturing her for research.

But Nick Fury had already classified all items and people from other universes related to Orion Cross as Level Ten classified information.

Invisible Woman Susan, whose identity had been created by Nick Fury himself, was naturally included among them.

”But you don’t need to worry. Once your ability is developed, it won’t be weak at all. When the time comes, we can form a small team together and fight someone like the purple potato spirit.”

Seeing Susan’s worried expression, Orion Cross offered a word of comfort.

”What is there to develop about invisibility... And I have to take everything off too.”

After Orion Cross said that, Susan’s mood did indeed recover a little. But when she thought about how she had almost died, how her DNA sequence had most likely mutated, and how the ability she had obtained was merely optical invisibility, she felt extremely aggrieved.

”Ha. Don’t belittle yourself. Take it slowly, one step at a time.”

Hearing this, Orion Cross could not help laughing out loud.

Invisible Woman. Just from the name, she really did sound like a superhero who could only turn invisible.

But in reality?

According to Invisible Woman’s official data, her ability level in energy projection was the same as Scarlet Witch Wanda’s, the highest Level Seven—capable of releasing multiple forms of energy almost without limit.

”All right. I agree.”

Susan sighed softly and nodded.

She had spent the entire night thinking about her plans for the future.

Indeed, since there was a high chance she could not go back, she had to find a way to survive in this world.

And Orion Cross, to be honest, was the first person she had met in this world.

Her first impression of him was quite good.

Rather than gamble on luck and take risks outside, she might as well stay here.

At least... this place seemed to have a bit of a home-like feeling, and she would not have to be so tired.

Thinking of this, Susan sat down beside Orion Cross with a faint smile on her face, picked up the remote control, and turned on the television.

[Manhattan Express: Breaking news, breaking news. Tony Stark, the head of Stark Industries, has been kidnapped by terrorists in the Middle East. He has now been confirmed missing, and no ransom demand has been received for the time being.]

[New York Midday Report: Tony Stark is missing. Stark Industries’ stock has plummeted. Where will its future go from here...]

[Brooklyn Midday News: ...]

”Looks like he’s an important figure. The moment something happens to him, every channel is reporting it.”

Susan switched between television channels, only to find that the news was all about Tony Stark’s disappearance.

”You guessed right. He really is important.”

Orion Cross patted a little piggy bank on the coffee table. ”He is this for us.”

Ding-dong.

The doorbell rang.

Susan subconsciously glanced at Orion Cross, then remembered her identity, got up, and went out to open the door.

”Why didn’t you call if something happened?”

Looking at Hill as she followed Susan inside, Orion Cross opened his mouth and asked.
