Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

Orion Cross pushed open the bedroom door, turned on the light, and walked inside.

Click.

”Damn. Who did S.H.I.E.L.D. send to clean this place? They didn’t even close the window, and trash blew in.”

Orion Cross speechlessly kicked the few pieces of plastic debris on the floor, casually picked them up, and threw them into the trash can.

After cleaning up the trash and closing the window, Orion Cross clapped his hands, shut the bedroom door, and went downstairs.

”What are you doing?”

The moment Orion Cross reached the first floor, he saw that Skye was not eating. Instead, she was holding an electric drill and installing something by the door.

”Protecting your privacy and safety.”

Skye glanced back at Orion Cross, then continued working with her hands. ”These are specially made alarm devices. They can prevent illegal intrusions to the greatest extent.”

”And...”

”I’ll install a program on those two kids’ phones later. If anything goes wrong, it’ll immediately send information to our terminal.”

Skye continued speaking while seriously installing the device.

”Remember to install one on yourself too.”

Orion Cross sat down at the dining table, picked up a slice of pizza, stuffed it into his mouth, and took a sip of juice.

He had to admit, these frozen foods really tasted awful.

”Me?”

Skye froze slightly.

”If something happens to you, I’ll know in time and rush over to save you.”

”But don’t misunderstand. I’m worried that if the enemy catches you, they’ll use your hacking skills to counterattack. That would be very troublesome.”

Orion Cross chewed the pizza and spoke casually.

”Oh. I got it.”

Skye curled her lips and pulled her thoughts back.

That made sense. Although she considered herself fairly good-looking, it was not like everyone would favor her because of it.

According to the information, the person in front of her was basically an antique no matter how one looked at it. How could he possibly take the initiative to care about her?

But what he said did make sense. If she was captured and forced to talk, then all the protective measures she had installed today would instead become burdens and points of attack.

However...

Seeing Skye’s little expression, the corner of Orion Cross’s mouth curved slightly as he drank his juice.

Skye had only seen the second layer and thought he was on the first, but in reality, he was on the fifth.

At first glance, his words sounded like something a straight man of steel would say, but in reality, they had given Skye a subconscious sense of security.

A certain blond vampire named Dio had once said that everything humans pursued, whether wealth or power, was ultimately for the sake of obtaining the most basic sense of security.

Of course, in the end, Orion Cross merely wanted to build a good relationship with this pretty young girl. As for whether he wanted to pursue her... that was temporarily unknown.

”Speaking of which, can you cook? Why don’t you also serve as our chef?”

After finishing his pizza, Orion Cross took a tissue, wiped his mouth, and walked over to Skye, who was still installing the device.

”Is there a salary?”

Skye’s hands paused slightly before she asked.

S.H.I.E.L.D. had only given her the title of field agent, saying that she was directly under Orion Cross, the special consultant. Her salary could only be described as enough to stay alive, and even gas expenses depended entirely on reimbursement.

”What can you cook?”

”Chinese food, Western food. I know a little of both.”

”One-week trial period. If what you cook tastes better than frozen pizza, then three thousand a month.”

Orion Cross took out a plate of pizza from behind him and placed it in front of Skye.

”Thanks.”

Skye took a slice and stuffed it into her mouth. ”But isn’t three thousand a little too low? I think it should be at least five thousand dollars.”

”I’ll give you a raise when I have money.”

”I could also say I’ll keep you as my sugar baby when I have money. Tch.”

Skye curled her lips, only thinking that Orion Cross was unwilling to increase the pay.

When I have money, I’ll do this or that. Was that not obviously an empty promise?

”You two get some proper rest. Remember to go to school on time tomorrow.”

After saying this to the siblings, Orion Cross took his change of clothes and walked into the bathroom.

It had been a long time since he had taken a hot bath...

To be honest, although the Undying Will of the Unbreakable Spear had allowed him to win countless battles, he did not like living with his nerves constantly tense.

But for the sake of peace of mind... Orion Cross still decided on his next plan while taking a bath.

To improve his normal-state strength, or increase the diversity of his own methods.

This was the long-term mission Orion Cross had set for himself.

As for the short term, if nothing unexpected happened, he would go find the money can to withdraw some money and see if he could trigger a new mission along the way.

After finishing his bath, Orion Cross walked out in pajamas.

In the living room, Skye had already finished installing all the devices and was sitting there watching a TV drama while holding a can of cola.

”I’m going to sleep. Don’t forget that you still have to send Wanda and the others to school tomorrow.”

Orion Cross glanced at the content of the TV drama and immediately lost interest. After saying this to Skye, he went upstairs.

”Rest.”

Orion Cross took out a pair of earphones and put them on, casually kicked off his slippers, and jumped onto the bed.

Snore, snore...

Thud.

Thud.

Click.

In the middle of the night, Orion Cross, who was sleeping while listening to light music, vaguely heard a noisy sound. He slowly opened his eyes and took off his earphones.

Thud.

The faint sound of a foot stepping on the floor rang out inside his bedroom.

Whoosh.

Following the sound to pinpoint the location, Orion Cross directly flipped over and lunged forward, pinning the person in the darkness to the floor.
