Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

”So, you made me wait outside for half a day because you were in here chatting with two delusional patients?”

Nick Fury, who had been pushed into the sealed land by Carol, swept a speechless gaze over Orion Cross and Hela. He also casually picked up a small burger. ”I haven’t eaten lunch yet. You don’t mind if I take one, right?”

”Suit yourself.”

Orion Cross shrugged, showing that he did not care.

”You don’t believe what they said?”

Carol frowned slightly and asked.

”If I didn’t believe it at all, I wouldn’t have brought so many people over...”

Nick Fury took a bite of the burger, and his expression instantly changed. He spat it out. ”Damn it, has this burger gone bad?! Why does it stink so much?!”

”Then what do you mean?”

Carol remembered the group of agents outside who were laying internet cables, nodded, and continued asking.

”You’re still too young.”

Nick Fury smiled and shook his head, then walked up to Orion Cross and extended his right hand. ”Hello. May I ask you, sir, who has apparently been sealed here for who knows how long, how do you know about the existence of the internet?”

Clearly, the old fox Nick Fury had found a loophole from Carol’s brief recounting alone.

If Orion Cross had truly been sealed in this place the entire time and could not leave, then how did he know about news from the outside world?

However, would Orion Cross make such an obvious mistake?

”You don’t think she’s the only one who can break through the seal, do you?”

”What do you mean?!”

Nick Fury, who had been wearing a confident smile, instantly froze.

”I remember now. When I first landed, she seemed to ask you whether I was that woman who could rival Odin, and then you denied it. In other words...”

Carol recalled something and pointed at Hela before suddenly understanding.

Carol’s words proved that Orion Cross’s statement was not a lie made up on the spot. That meant the so-called loophole had disappeared.

”Sorry. That was my mistake.”

Nick Fury apologized decisively. Although he was still somewhat suspicious, there was no evidence now.

More importantly, if things were really as Orion Cross said, then his worldview was about to be overturned once again.

It had only just been overturned by an alien invasion, and now even ancient myths were real?

”It’ll still take some time for the internet to be connected. Can you tell me your story now?”

Carol carried several sofas in from outside and looked at Orion Cross expectantly.

”Are you treating this like story time?”

Orion Cross looked at the tea set, coffee, and the whole setup that had appeared in front of him, feeling somewhat speechless.

”Can I listen in?”

Nick Fury asked.

”He’s an agent friend of mine. Outside, he’s responsible for...”

”Nick Fury can stay.”

”Hm?”

Carol was just about to explain Nick Fury’s duties and find a way to let him stay, but to her surprise, Orion Cross directly agreed. It was just...

The way he agreed was a little strange.

What did he mean, ”Nick Fury can”?

”What he means is that you can go out and swap in your real self, you inferior shapeshifting creature!”

Hela appeared in front of Nick Fury, grabbed him by the throat with one hand, and lifted him into the air.

Seeing Hela suddenly take action, Carol abruptly rose to her feet and was about to rush over to save Nick Fury.

But in the next second, something happened that stunned her.

”Talos?! Why are you disguised as Nick Fury?!”

Seeing Nick Fury suddenly turn into a green-skinned Skrull, Carol stopped her attack and questioned him.

”Cough, cough. He told me to do it.”

The Skrull, Talos, who had been thrown down by Hela, collapsed onto the ground. He removed the comm earpiece from his head and handed it to Carol as she walked over.

”Can you come out and pick me up?”

Nick Fury’s helpless voice came from the comm earpiece.

Crack.

Carol crushed the communicator into pieces without any expression on her face.

”Change back.”

Carrying the Skrull disguised as Nick Fury, Carol once again rushed out of the seal.

A few seconds later, she floated back in while carrying another dark-skinned bald man who was holding an orange cat.

Clearly, this Nick Fury was real.

Because Orion Cross had triggered a mission.

[Flerken Series Mission: Still hasn’t transformed, but it’s already repaying a favor: Put any major body part into the Flerken’s mouth.]

[Nick Fury Series Mission: The Skeptic’s Trust: Raise Nick Fury’s trust level to more than fifty percent.]

”Make this guy’s trust level reach half?”

Orion Cross immediately felt a bit of a headache.

Any other person would be easier to deal with than Nick Fury.

Although the current Nick Fury was not yet the future director of S.H.I.E.L.D. or the King of Agents, after experiencing the Skrull and Kree invasions, the foundation had already begun to take shape.

Just think about it. Nick Fury had not even told Carol about the Skrull pretending to be him.

This guy had probably already started gradually turning lying into an instinct.

Trust level reaching fifty percent?

For Nick Fury, that was basically equivalent to someone he could completely trust.

”But it’s not completely impossible.”

Orion Cross raised an eyebrow. He suddenly remembered that Nick Fury currently had the initial idea of forming the Avengers. In that case...

As for putting any major body part into the Flerken’s mouth? Wasn’t that just pure suicide?

”Hello. I’m Nick Fury.”

The real Nick Fury shook Orion Cross’s hand once more, taking the opportunity to glance at Hela, who was walking into the distance.

”She doesn’t want to talk to you.”

Orion Cross noticed Nick Fury’s doubt and explained.

”Why?”

”Do you talk to ants?”

”...Fair enough.”

Nick Fury inhaled, released Orion Cross’s hand, and sat down on the sofa. ”You said just now that I could listen in. Then please tell us your origins, Mr. ’Mortal.’”
