Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

Not long after the siblings left, a squad of soldiers appeared.

”Report. The item inside the box has been taken.”

The squad captain glanced at the safe that had already been chopped open, pressed a hand to his earpiece, and reported the situation.

There had been a tracking device on the box. Now the box had been destroyed, and to avoid causing damage, no corresponding measures had been installed on the item inside.

”Search for clues.”

”Yes!”

After receiving the order, the squad captain immediately looked around, rapidly scanning everything in the area.

”Captain, over there...”

A soldier pointed in one direction.

Two short gravestones stood there silently.

”Django Maximoff, Maya Maximoff. Look up their information.”

...

Inside a rundown wooden house far from the city center, the siblings were stuffing clothes and dry food into a suitcase.

”We definitely can’t sell it here directly. If we’re discovered, we’re finished.”

Pietro picked up a photo of their family of four, stuffed it into the suitcase, and finally picked up the golden lamp beside him.

Before putting it in, perhaps because he thought of the good life they would have in the future, he also felt the urge to cheer his sister up and said, ”Wanda, doesn’t this thing look like the magic lamp from the stories Mom used to tell us?”

”It is... Aladdin’s lamp? The one that can grant three wishes! Is it real?”

At this moment, Wanda’s big, adorable eyes sparkled with curiosity and anticipation.

”Of course it’s real! But the genie inside this lamp is very weak, so it can only grant one small wish. Wanda, do you want to try?”

Pietro’s eyes darted nimbly as he handed the golden lamp to his sister.

”How do I make a wish?”

Wanda broke into a smile through her tears and took the golden lamp.

Although she had experienced life and death, life had not yet erased Wanda’s innocence. A long-lost smile surfaced on her cheeks.

”Just like in the story. Rub the magic lamp, then close your eyes and make a wish.”

A faint smile hung on Pietro’s lips as he said, ”But remember, this magic lamp is very weak. It can only grant one tiny wish. If the wish is too hard to make come true, then it’ll be wasted.”

”Mm, I know!”

Wanda nodded hard, carefully held the magic lamp in her arms, and closed her eyes. Her right hand trembled slightly as she placed it above the body of the lamp.

”Pietro, what was that kind of outfit called last time?”

Wanda thought with her eyes closed for a while, then asked somewhat hesitantly.

”Which one?”

Hearing his sister’s question, Pietro revealed a small smile. He tiptoed over to the shabby wardrobe nearby and took out a small box.

”The one we saw last time when we passed by the third shop on Sonia Street.”

”Oh, that one. I asked Jennifer from next door. She said it’s called JK. It seems to be internet slang from Japan”

As Pietro answered, he gently placed the box he had prepared long ago in front of Wanda, whose eyes were tightly closed.

”Then I want a set of JK. That shouldn’t be an excessive wish, right?”

Wanda wrapped her worn-out clothes tighter around herself and spoke softly.

A blue genie emerged from the spout of the golden lamp and trembled twice.

Pietro stood to the side, dumbfounded.

He had only wanted to use the excuse of making a wish to give his sister a present. How had it become real?

”I will do my best to fulfill your wish.”

A strange, unfamiliar voice sounded beside Wanda’s ear, making her freeze. There really was a genie, and the genie had granted her wish?

But before she could think further, Wanda suddenly felt her whole body go weak. Her legs gave out, and she collapsed directly onto the floor.

”Wanda, what’s wrong?!”

Pietro snapped back to his senses, hurriedly stepped forward, kicked the magic lamp away, and helped Wanda up.

”Who are you people... Ah!”

At that moment, by coincidence, a woman’s scream came from outside.

”That’s the landlady’s voice!”

Pietro’s heart suddenly jumped. He ran to the window and looked down. A group of fully armed soldiers were pouring into the building.

Those uniforms! It was the same squad that had been escorting the magic lamp!

”It’s over. They found us this quickly.”

Pietro hurriedly stepped forward, stuffed the magic lamp into the suitcase, and anxiously looked at his sister. ”Wanda, are you okay? Those people are here. We have to leave through the back, quickly!”

”Mm!”

Wanda’s face was pale at this moment, but she still forced herself to stand and nodded.

The two of them used another route to run into the neighboring building. Then, before the soldiers realized that these buildings were connected to one another, they ran down to the first floor.

”Wanda, hurry up and get on!”

Pietro shouted while pushing a small cart.

He had already noticed that his sister was exhausted. She probably would not be able to last long, so he had gone to the side and stolen a scavenger’s cart.

”You idiots! The two Maximoff brats escaped!”

”Chase them!”

...

In the forest, a chase began.

Pietro was young, after all. Even relying on his familiarity with the terrain and managing to pull away for a while, the soldiers behind him still clung tightly to their trail.

”Faster, faster, faster!”

Pietro gritted his teeth and tried to run even faster, but unfortunately, things did not go as he wished.

At that moment, the originally clear sky instantly darkened, and the entire forest plunged into blackness.

”Hey, what’s going on?”

”Was there an eclipse notice today?”

The soldiers were stopped by the sudden darkness and began asking questions over the comms.

As for Pietro’s side, because his vision vanished so abruptly, he accidentally stepped on a rock, tripped, and fell flat on his back. The cart also flew out.

”No, Wanda!”

Thud.

The ground suddenly shook violently, and an unknown object caught Wanda.

”Was it you who summoned me?”

A deep, distant voice came from above, yet for some reason, there was a trace of pleasure in its tone.

Pietro raised his head and looked up. A gigantic eye was staring at him and Wanda.

And the thing that had just caught his sister was actually only a single scale on the claw of that unknown creature.
